The Prompt (If needed):

[OC] finds themselves in a quiet, rustic-looking town with busy individuals and floating things hovering about left and right. Magic fills the air and they feel drawn to one source. The source? A tall, brown-haired man with pointy ears and a wide assortment of golden earrings. He seems to not be busy now. What shall [OC] do?

If anyone wishes, I am willing to make links between Gold and your OC, provided they did interact with one another. You can be rude to Gold, scare him, etc. But Gold will usually be polite to a tee.

"Hewwo! can i have some candy?"

Mila Bran Umbrase LemonTeaRain

ShiftingFoxx (Woah, that's a lot to deal with - hopefully everything goes alright for you! And hopefully you get some better rest tonight :'])

Mila listened to his earrings jingle as he moved his head, again charmed by the sound, before giving her response. "I'll wait for you in the sitting room, where I sat before." She told him, though the thought of walking past the icebock again, now aware of what it was, made her slightly uneasy. "Will you be long?"

Gold ShiftingFoxx

LemonTeaRain

"No, I shall not be long. I estimate it will take a maximum of five minutes. Should you ever feel uncomfortable, please feel free to call for me. I simply must ensure that there are enough blankets and pillows in the spare room to accommodate a guest there. I can also assure you that nothing here will be of harm to you. If it is, I shall remove it from my home and not allow it back inside"

Nodding an acknowledgment to Abagail, Gold turned to Melvin with a slight look of confusion. His ability to sense magic was quite keen, nearly more honed than even that of his brother's. Surely if a human had an ounce of magic hidden within their soul or blood, he would sense it? It was uncommon for the Elf to not sense a form of magic, and he would hate to be pointed out for not being able to do something.

"I am not one for politics, either, but we typically only retain people with magic inside of Kingdom. I am sure we would provide proper teaching should one with less innate magic. As for you, Abigail," Gold hums, turning again to the human with no sensible magic. He places one hand at the seam of one of his sleeves, prepared to roll it up. "It is a pleasure to inform humans of magic and how it works. Perhaps, if you would not be opposed to it, you would like to use some for yourself? My magic is not suited for violence and easy to control. However, should you accept the offer I will warn you that much of my blood is made of pure magic. Such an influx could be painful or make you feel faint. If you do not wish to try it for yourself, I can answer any other inquiries you may have." He pauses, suddenly stiffening. "Have I introduced myself? If not, I apologize, for I shall do that now. My name is Gold, Head Healer among other jobs and titles."

Turning to meet the... short stature of Kirby, Gold half-bows to him and offers a gentle smile. "Why hello there," He says, bright golden eyes looking over the new arrival. Something resembling magic was what Gold thought he could sense coming from the pointy-eared... Was this one also an Elf? He could not be certain. His eyes, as hopefully they did not betray him, took the pointy ears to mean that. "You are in Kingdom, the most magic-dense area on this side of the Mountain of Kings. Who may you be? I am Gold, Head Healer of Kingdom. What brings you here, do you know?"

"Oh, ah... I do not have any candy, I am afraid," Gold says, crouching down to the child's height. "But perhaps I could take you to the market to get some? It may not be the really sweet human stuff, but our sweets are quite good. What do you say, Small One?"

Mila Bran Umbrase LemonTeaRain

"Then.. thank you, Gold. I don't know how I'll ever be able to pay you back for so much kindness." Mila responded, ready to head back into the sitting room. His words inspired a certain confidence in her; she had no doubt that he would stick to them and do exactly as he promised.

sure!

Melvin Mulberry Arachnerd

"And- uh... Melvin," he nodded with a nod towards Abigail.

The wizard seemed to take note of the odd way Gold talked about Kingdom. "So like, what's this place actually called? You keep saying Kingdom but never, like, the actual place," he queried. Unless the place is literally called 'Kingdom' but...

there's no way.

Once the figure turned to face Kirby, the boy immediately felt even much smaller compared to the towering figure, who had then introduced himself as 'Gold.' He gave a small and now shy smile once Gold greeted to him, "Kingdom?" he thought as he continues to look at Gold as he spoke, though now Kirby looked a bit confused... which then turned into a look of shock. Gold was the head healer of Kingdom!

Kirby gives a faint laugh, "I...I'm Kirby-!" he quickly introduces himself, now feeling a bit guilty, scared that he might have interrupted Gold in some important 'head healer business.'

"And uhm... the last thing I remember before coming here was..! I-I was travelling, and then I passed out- I don't remember why but I did and- then I found myself here, in the middle of Kingdom...for some reason." Kirby quickly informed Gold of his situation, which he normally didn't do to strangers at all but his source of income and help was nowhere to be heard or seen so right now, Gold was the only elf that could possibly help Kirby right now... he just hopes Gold won't rob him- and/or report him to some authority that could get him hurt. Kirby didn't want that to happen to him... again.

Abigail couldn't help but nod at Gold's proposal. "Oh yes, I'd be very interested in learning how to use this magic. It could be quite interesting working with it." Plus, it would give Abigail quite the story to tell her boyfriend, Wyatt, later today. But he didn't need to know that.

Satisfied with Mila's answer and general body language, Gold begins to head to the entrance of the sitting room. "There is no need for repayment, dear friend. Friends are supposed to care for one another," the Elf comments, before offering a confirmation of him leaving the room. "I shall take my leave to prepare upstairs now, and I shall return very soon." He bows his head and begins to walk off, hoping that Mila would be alright for a few minutes while he left. He had no doubt of her ability to care for herself, but he was still worried. Especially now that she knew where the item she was afraid of was. Judging by her reaction to the word.... Being made to walk by it could be difficult.

Arachnerd , JacobToonz

"Kingdom is called Kingdom, Melvin," Gold states with a hint of enthusiasm, finding joy in speaking of his home. "His Royal Highness is.... quite creative with names. Being almost 450 can bring out the best in someone."

As for Abigail, Gold nodded in acknowledgement before he put a hand in his pocket. He fished out a small vial and offered a smile before summoning a small arrow out of a glowing golden light. Veins upon his face glowed as he cast his magic, and the Elf brought the weapon of light to his own skin.

And he cut. It was not a large wound at all, only an inch in length, nor did Gold relay any sign of pain. He brought the vial to the small wound and allowed his own blood to collect inside the container. The blood glowed the same gold as his magic until it left contact with him, after which the blood returned to a glittery, not-glowing version of the same color. After he finished collecting the blood, he allowed his arm to rest and the spear to vanish. He held the vial out for the human to take, a smile once again present.

"That amount of Elf blood should grant you the ability to use magic for up to half a sun-journey," He claims, hoping that he did not scare or worry his (assumed) friends, "I would suggest to only injest a small amount at once, since my magic happens to be... a little overwhelming for some. If you are worried of diseases transmitted by blood, then I can assure you that my magic is not ill, nor am I."

(( I will reply to others later!))

Melvin Mulberry Arachnerd

"Wh- are you serious? No fucking way this place is literally called 'Kingdom', you're kidding," Melvin dismissed in disbelief, but the expression of confusion and, furthermore, shock became more apparent once he witnessed Gold collecting his blood in a vial and giving it to Abigail to drink!

"What the fuck are you doing?!?" the wizard exclaimed. The sight of blood and seeing such an injury being inflicted made Melvin at least a little queasy. "You could just make a potion for that you goddamn weirdo what the fuck!!" The idea of drinking someone else's blood made him feel sickly, and it wasn't long before he had to look away to save himself.

Gold ShiftingFoxx

Arachnerd, JacobToonz

The moment Melvin's shock registered in his head and Melvin began to curse, Gold froze. What was so wrong with sharing blood that was almost purely magic? Potions were not his strong suit, they could potentially be dangerous, and they took much more time than a simple extraction of blood. But nevertheless, he couldn't help but feel... ashamed. He felt as if he had done something wrong, something terrible, something deplorable.

"I-I apologize. It was... It felt more logical to take a little blood of what I know to be safe for human use than to risk my less than perfect knowledge and craft a potion. My blood.... is also approximately ninety-percent pure magic, so there are only two non-magical components in my blood. I am aware that my blood is completely sterile because of this and does not carry disease...I am confused. Is it not normal to share blood of mostly magical composition with a human in this manner? Again, it is not often that we host humans that wish to experience magic, so my customs regarding that may be outdated... Again...my apologies."

The Elf's eyes shift downcast and he seems to have begun rambling, trying to ease whatever discomfort caused by his actions. Dang, culture is weird.

Mila Bran Umbrase LemonTeaRain

"I'll be awaiting your return, then." Mila responded, her tone warm and a smile on her features. Regardless of what he said, she would find some way to repay him eventually - not monetarily, of course, but in her own way of kindness. The opportunity was certain to present itself someday and when it did she would take it by the horns.

The smile on her face died as her attention returned to the icy elephant in the room: the dull magic of the icebox right at home besides the entryway. She refused to be so pathetic as to be stuck in the room thanks to it, but just the thought of brushing past it, of interacting with a magic like that one ever again... It made her skin crawl. After silently pondering her options for some time, Mila's scars began to glow the signature silver of her escaping magic as she took control of the very shadow that the box cast. Relying on her natural element felt like the most surefire way to stay in control of her magic, and as she manipulated them the shadows formed a bubble around the box, swiftly solidifying and becoming completely opaque as she sealed it away. Everything was fine. She wasn't trapped within it, it was trapped by her... Still, her walk past was brisk, even as the offending magic was forcefully concealed from her own senses. She didn't allow the shadow to melt back into its rightful place until she was thoroughly settled back into the armchair, an invisible trail of her magic falling through the air where she had walked.

Melvin Mulberry Arachnerd

"Sharing bodily fluids in general isn't normal dude!" Melvin told, "it's gross! Especially with strangers!" The wizard's shoulders were tense with discomfort and he closed his eyes to try shake away the thought of drinking a stranger's blood. Eugh!

Though he did peek out from his closed eye to see Gold's reaction to such reprimanding - he looked sad. Confused, even. Melvin felt bad. The wizard sighed and tried to loosen up a little.
With a calmer tone, Melvin tried to explain: "I dunno, at least like, for humans it's super weird to share bodily fluids with strangers. It's like..." and he tried to think of an adequate comparison, "It's like spitting into each other's mouth, you know what I mean? Is that weird for you?? There's a specific context where something like that is socially acceptable and it's super uncomfortable to think about."

Gold ShiftingFoxx

Arachnerd, JacobToonz (Sorry for late replies again! I'm getting them done ASAP/as soon as I have time)

Gold was quite sold on the not spitting at each other—He dealt with the Avias children trying to mimic their parental affection on non-Avias and that was... an interesting endeavor. He still appeared more and more ashamed of himself but made an attempt to brush it off with more talk of cultures and differing customs.

"There are over a hundred races of people living within Kingdom, and at least seven of them have cultures revolving around saliva. It is... a little confusing to remember what is okay around some but not around others... please do forgive me." His words are quiet and he allows one gloved hand to grasp his arm where he had made the injury. "I do now understand the human implications of this... it shall not happen again. I had simply hoped... to avoid any accidents with a catalyst or potion. Both are very volatile, especially the catalyst, and can prove quite fatal to a human if the human is not prepared..."

Gold and his shame led him to offer a half-bow to both Abigail and Melvin, trying to atone for his actions. Oh boy. Gold messed up.

LemonTeaRain

As Mila overcame obstacles of hers, Gold was busy overcoming obstacles of his own. The spare room was too neat. There were no sheets on the matress and nothing decorated its walls. How terrible! That was no way to have a guest room... But then again, he hadn't a guest in years, so it was to be expected. The Elf scurried around the upstairs until the spare room had plenty of pillows, blankets, and decorations. Even if Mila could not see the result of the room, Gold had to decorate for his own peace of mind.

After the ordeal with decor, Gold was quite efficient in obtaining the scrolls and the quills of his, all while balancing a pot of ink upon his head. He nimbly returned to the sitting room table, setting the supplies on the surface.

"I have returned, Mila!"
