Show Me Your Criminals

Posted 6 years, 11 months ago (Edited 5 years, 2 months ago) by Lonestarcelt

From the seediest back alleys to the opulent pent houses and offices of the most lavish towers to even the house next door to behind the highest offices of some governments or companies. There's one common element that binds all these places together and it's as much a part of human nature as anything else. Crime. From things as simple as stealing food to survive to some crimes which could be considered especially heinous. From the most petty misdemeanors to the vicious felonies. Criminals exist in all strata of daily life. Some have been caught and others are still at large. That's where this thread comes into play. This thread is for criminals of all shapes and forms. From all settings from the most fantastical, the most futuristic, the most contemporary? It doesn't matter. If you have yourself a character who is or was a criminal in some shape or form. Have they been caught for shop lifting and had to pay a fine? Assassinated a head of state and is on the run? Committed some unspeakable act and is now waiting on death row...or worse? Perhaps they were never caught at all? This is the thread for them.

There are some rules however

  1. Given the nature of this thread there is a very real chance some seriously sensitive topics might come up? While this thread won't be marked as mature, as not all crimes might be particularly nasty, be smart in what you talk about and how. For example. For sensitive subjects please black out the text like this. Example text. Along with that. This thread will be less to recount the vivid graphic details of the crime and more simply letting people know what they did. For example. You can have a character that maybe be a serial killer. Try to frame it as just that. Saying what they are and maybe alluding to some of their crimes but keep any actual descriptions vague and PG-13 at worse. We don't need to know about particularly graphic details of a person's crimes.
  2. Try not to romanticize what your character did if they did something particularly awful. By which, I mean, if say your character is a war criminal don't try to describe their crimes in a good light for example. There are exceptions to this rule such as the aforementioned stealing to eat but things such as war crimes, sexual assault, serial murder, or crimes against children? Don't frame those things as good or noble.
  3. You can either post your characters one at a time or as a group in an OOC post. Post options are perfectly valid. Just try not to dominate an entire page with your characters. So if you are posting a few on their own? Try to only do three at a time and let more people post in the interim before you go back to going one at a time.

  4. Be respectful and don't cause drama. If someone breaks these rules please let me know and I or the admins will handle the situation.

Now that that's out of the way? Let's bring out the line-up.

Current Ban List:

  • None, let's keep it that way.
Naomi Yundai TheLadyAnatola

Naomi carries out any task that her mistress, Victoria, assigns her, and they're usually rather sketchy. Victoria is a powerful necromancy and apothecary, so she usually sends Naomi to collect her any ingredients she may need... some of those being bodies. Naomi doesn't really care if they're already dead or not, because she'll usually make them dead before she brings them back. Victoria isn't above finding victims herself either, but she's usually too busy most of the time and it would be "unbecoming" of her high status. Victoria's husband is also a necromancer who sometimes "makes" more corpses for them to experiment with, but he doesn't have a profile and also is probably significantly "criminal" compared to his wife and her agent.

Jasper Rumby

Here is my thief ^^

Nathan Parodiea TheLadyAnatola

Nathan tries to be a good boy most of the time, but he does have a tendency to trespass on various properties since he has a hard time finding places where his bullies won't find him. He found this abandoned house in the country and just waltzes in, he tends to wander the cornfields around his hometown and walk along railroad tracks, and he's even broken into his school once late at night just because he needed to get something out of his locker. He doesn't really do it on purpose to break the rules, but he just doesn't really think about there being potential consequences.

Kevin tends to join him in his trespassing pretty willingly. He'll also get into fights with anyone who antagonizes Nathan, and Kevin also loves to go ripping around on his motorcycle, usually unlawfully fast and sometimes off the road where he shouldn't. ^^; He usually only drives more appropriately if he's giving Nathan a ride, since he's a little faint-hearted.

 ✶ Shinichi Trolluminati

He's doing illegal researches. He even got arrested. Yes, people died too.

Well, he ain't the average criminal.

Altiora

Alti here is a hitman working for an institute so basically planned murders, torture, etc. She also abducts candidates that she thinks can be raised or "trained" into other assassins/hitmen so add some good ol kidnapping on there. This is how she became a hitman; was kidnapped and tortured until she qualified as one.

 Nokken Anavivia TheLadyAnatola

Pretty sure luring people into his lake to drown and devour them qualifies as a crime. Not that he has any sense of what laws are or anything, he just likes chilling in the water while playing his violin in his strange traveling-mist dimension of sorts. Anyone who wanders in is fair game, so it's not like anyone can really tell him what he's doing is wrong in any sense. Anyone who encounters him ends up dead, except a few of his demon friends.

Speaking of his friends, his best friend, Bonnie the Blood Witch, is always telling him that kind of behavior is stellar. But of course she's a vengeful, hex-slinging witch who curses anyone who crosses her, loves casting both semi-good and terrible charms on anyone she can get her hands on to be a guinea pig, and has the kind of wrath than can level an empire. She's probably fits the description of "criminal" better because she knows what's supposed to be moral and lawful, and she... just doesn't care. XP

Nuke Fiaran TheLadyAnatola

Nuke is a pacifist and tries to stay out of trouble, but he's accidentally killed people before because almost everyone who has direct contact with him basically explodes. He's terrified of killing any more people so he covers himself up and keeps his distance from others. Of course, the places he ends up having to travel through usually end up getting him into trouble, so his kill-count is a lot higher than he'd like... He hasn't gotten into any trouble with the law yet because he usually leaves immediately and never comes back out of fear and shame.

 Haruki Murakami Dolce

Not exactly a caught criminal haha;; Haruki is a fan OC for Bungo Stray Dogs and he's a consligiere for Port Mafia. Naturally, some of the stuff he does is... less than lawful.

ArcaneArtefacts

She has never been convicted of anything, but when she was 16 and under, she was drinking alcohol and doing several illegal drugs. It was mainly due to peer pressure and the angsty teenage phase at the time.

Phillip Vale TheLadyAnatola

Phillip here is a high-end drug dealer, so most of his clients are very upperclass people, like business bigwigs and whatnot. Of course, his family is so far only "suspected" of running some suspicious business behind the scenes, but until anyone gets any solid proof, he's just gonna go on as usual... dealing at his leisure to the rich folks and passing off as a socialite with a lot of connections in high places.

Jaxon Hollow

Jaxon Hayes is more frequently referred to with a fearful tone as the "Desert Vulture" in some parts of Death Valley. While his brother runs a fireworks shop, it doesn't always pay the bills, so sometimes Jaxon will run off to beat people up and rob them of their belongings with little to no reasoning. It used to leave a foul taste in his mouth, but he's grown quite used to it over the years, and his brother still doesn't know the infamous Desert Vulture lives with him.

Even MORE guilty of repeated criminal acts is his World of Warcraft rogue self, who even has his own wiki page. -->

Garren Amando TheLadyAnatola

Garren along with everyone else in this folder (except Mira) is a member of an organization called the Enlightened, which was basically formed with the intent to bring everyone into their order and destroy everything and everyone else to reform the Eternity with their own ideals, or at least the ideals of the founder. A lot of the people in the organization were drafted and are just going along with it so they don't get killed, but some people are willingly going along with it either because they want this goal too or they've been in the organization long enough that they don't even question it or resist anymore.

Garren, Jake, Dmitri, and Ratralast are/were Generals for their own factions of the organization (in Ratralast's case he's a former General who deserted with a bunch of other rebels on a stolen ship, and Dmitri replaced him). Arth, Exodus, Ista, Rahmue, and Randin are all subordinates of some kind and work closely with their appointed General, either in the field, with office work, or in the labs. Since the Enlightened is pretty much the biggest organized terrorist group in the Eternity, they're all technically criminals, although not all of them participate in violent crimes committed; Ista, Exodus, and Randin basically stay in the office or labs working on paperwork or developing new weapons or whatever. Garren, Dmitri, Jake, Rahmue, and Arth are pretty familiar with combat zones and are specifically trained for work in the field. Which is invading other places and killing and/or drafting more recruits. All of them are awake they're technically the "bad guys" but they still look out for each other and don't want to see each other killed for getting out of line.

Stormeko

Jazz - Pickpockets a lot and rarely gets caught

Lucas - Ex gang member. Mostly stole stuff

Zane - Current gang member. Will do bad stuff just for money.

Laurel #620 Caine

Laurel has stopped stealing, but there were a few months in his life when he was forced to seduce people and then steal from them in order to live to see another day. He never felt good about it though but did it in order to survive :'')
