Conner is a guitarist and plays with his cousin (my previously posted character, Volkmar) and their friends in a band. Conner is also a good singer and knows a little bit beyond the basics of playing piano and drums, although they're not his preferred instruments.
I'm a sucker for anything related to music, so are any of your characters in a band? Do they like to sing (whether they're any good or not)? Can they play an instrument? Lay 'em on me. :)
I'll start off-- most of my characters are musicians, because they're from a story about a battle of the bands contest, but this guy is Izzy, the lead singer/lead guitar in a punk band in the contest. He's more loud and enthusiastic than he is good, but that's all you need to be punk, right?
Fathom plays drums in the band along with Volkmar and Conner, but he's also pretty decent at playing the guitar. He's got a pretty good voice too, but he only ever sings backup vocals if needed or when he's helping Conner work on new songs or whatever. He's not a shy person in any sense, but he doesn't sing in front of other people if he's on his own.
Jasper plays bass guitar with my previously posted band mates. He's not all that confident about playing it, but he does well as long as he doesn't feel like he's the center of attention compared to the rest of his band mates. It's pretty common to see him playing with his eyes closed so he doesn't see the audience looking at him. ^^; He can sing pretty well too, but he's even more shy about that and is only comfortable doing backups.
And the last member of the band I keep referring to is Lee. He's very skilled at playing the piano or other similarly keyed instruments, and he's quite the perfectionist about it. He often helps Volkmar with song writing since Lee actually had tutoring in music and composition, whereas Volkmar is entirely self taught. So the two tend to collaborate with Volkmar providing the primary inspiration and overall development of most of their songs while Lee helps him refine their composition and add more intricate parts. Lee also sings rather well, but he's not interested in singing anything other than backups for their performances. He also speaks and sings with a rather heavy accent, so he feels it would stick out too much if he sang anything more complicated anyway.
I've got one singer <3 She's a pony though so I hope that counts ;v;!! She likes to sing slower, more dramatic songs (think lana del rey borderline phantom of the opera LMAO)
Sjerden is the vocalist for a band and is really great (probably the only thing that's keeping the band afloat) but he doesn't get along well with his bandmates :/
Daya wants to be a singer, but she wasn't really born with the talent and didn't realize it was what she wanted until her teens, so she's been working her butt off with vocal lessons for a few years now :3
i just remembered that Aeon is a bard- not in just the combat way but in the "I sing songs for money" way.
He can sing very well and play various instruments, but he doesn't know how to read music. He just plays by ear.
