But why do you take the spotlight more often than my other OC's.

@Judas-la-carotte's thread about underrated characters made me think about the opposite! I'm not going to use the word "overrated" because I certainly don't mean that any OCs deserve less love, but do you have any characters whom you're surprised get more attention than you expected they would, among your characters?
Maybe people pick them more often in forum games or art trades than other characters, they have more faves than you expected, or they're just the ones your friends have gravitated towards for whatever reason-- but maybe they aren't among your own favorites, or they're just not the OCs you expected would be popular.
And has that character's popularity inspired you to use or develop them more, or give them a bigger role in whatever story or project they may be in?
There are no particular rules for this thread; just be nice and don't try to make people feel bad about their taste or anything like that.
I didn't expect him to be that well-liked and known so i was surprised. His faves excels over Swiss Cheese and some said he is one of, if not, the most iconic out of all my OCs. And i'm pretty content since he is one of my personal favourites haha
I made Ganymede while designing moth (and moth-inspired) adopts and decided to keep him on a whim despite already having a lot of characters. His design really grew on me and people seem to really like him; I’ve even been asked if he’s for sale which is a first for my personal OCs. He’s also the character I have with the most art I believe, as people tend to pick drawing him for trades. He’s simple but still seems to have struck a chord with people, myself included!
People seem to really like Babe, jeebus! I'm glad others like him as much as I do; I got him in a random swap thread, so he was originally just gonna be a joke character. One thing lead to another and, well, he's a demigod in one of my worlds lol. He's hella fun to use in thread games and RPs, so I don't resent his popularity at all ^^
I made Clover as a mascot for my tumblr prompt blog, which I also didn't expect to become nearly as popular as it now is. Then shortly after she was made, I joined Art Fight for the first time, and HOLY COW DID SHE GET A LOT OF PRAISE... AND SO MUCH ART... I think someone called her "artist bait" or something once, which I found really funny because I literally sketched her up in like 10 minutes with no planning whatsoever. But I'm really happy people like her so much!!!
I definitely think of Ivory here. I had created her offsite, but people liked her a lot, and I started receiving gift art of her! It surprised me especially since her info contains very sensitive themes... so I really love that people had supported her immensely before I pulled away from the other site!
