i decided to count the amount of art I have of shoko on dA and...
there's 19 of them.
19 shooks.
also here's the first official drawing of sho... it's really cringe.
I wanted a thread like this but couldn't find any? Let me know if there's already one.
This thread serves as the lovechild of What are you thinking [IC] and General comments thread! As in, you want to make a general comment, or any random thoughts + ramblings (and as OOC) about your characters but doesn't fit in others character discussions thread and felt like the general comments thread doesn't fit either :'D
Just share anything you want as long as it stays within this guideline:

i'm thinking about re-designing oliver just a tad bit. maybe make his hair a bit more ginger-ish and have his hair more shorter? i love his design right now but, i think that he'll good with some shorter hair. not too short, because i still want him to have like pretty long hair. not really long hair but faskmlfakfldsafa same with his eyes too, i wanna make them a little bit more golden and chestnutsy.
Tbh hard to believe both Monster Hunter Prisma and Regular Prisma are the same character like personality-wise they're pretty different
like, here's a breakdown:
Regular Prisma: Carries an aloof attitude most of the time & rarely shows any extreme emotions (a la being hyperactive or so angry she punches holes in the wall), likes high-fashion
MH Prisma: A lot more emotional and straightforward with what she's feeling, fashion is just a minor interest of hers
Me: I GOTTA MAKE ART FOR MY FRIEND I GOTTA MAKE ART FOR MY FRIEND I G O T T A M A K E A R T F O R M Y F R I E N D IT'S ALMOST HIS BIRTHDAY AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Also me: Well I gotta organize ribbons and work on that roleplay server I'm making. Hm...only about...15 characters to go? Then I can continue work on my profiles! HELL YEAH! EDITING PROFILES WOOOOOOOOO! >:D And the server just needs all the lore created, ooc chats and rp channels and it will be good to go! :D
...I'm gonna really love this thread for dropping my thoughts and what I'm doing somewhere without saying it in my private server. Let me just...*pins thread's tab on Chrome* There we go. Eight tabs pinned is a new record.
Saw a couple of people did this 'understand my ship' thing (template HERE) and I couldn't resist making one for Ilinka as well (in spoiler cuz pic is really big).
In canon plot, she's now only a friend with the darn Shura after calling off their engagement 7 years ago. But I have always wanted to ruin that cold and cunning personality and exploring the option of Shura having a family is the main AU I have for him. For some months now that I have been toying with the idea of writing an AU fic where Shura and Ilinka visit Sevmash (where Shura spent loads of time working with the androids) - with their daughter in tow. Of course with this 'strange element' the androids are going to be quite comically confused of how to interact with the little girl because they all worry they will involuntarily hurt her with their enhanced strength.
As much as the above circumstance is intriguing, it'll never be canon. For that it will require Shura to complete his 'life goal' of capturing his backstabbing childhood acquaintance and destroying the syndicate which shelters that guy. Nope, sorry Ilinka but I don't want to see Vova behind the bar or dead. :P I'll go and make that AU come true in Sims4 then...
Proper pointless rant incoming about my first properly active DnD character.
Been working on Lo's backstory and I have eternal issues with it. XD I think it's partly because he's the very first character of mine with whom I play by voice, which for me makes it harder to come up with new things on the fly during sessions (more anxiety, less time to think things over). So he's been extremely basic throughout the game and the DM actually mentioned that I should give him some more substance. Because his whole luck-gambling-randomness thing should be there for flavor, but not be the character himself. Perhaps be about 33% of the character.
So I've just been trying to think what else there is to him, what makes him a well-rounded person. What does he like? What's he afraid of? Basically what kind of adventure hooks would he grab onto, since we've basically been thrown into a wide-open sandbox to discover the secrets of that world. I mean, guys' a sorcerer, I guess. As a wild mage he should be scared of the random side-effects of his powers, right? However the "fear of magic powers" angle is once again something that makes sense but that I'm not really playing out or using to my advantage, because I feel it contradicts with my role in the party...anyway that ship has sailed, I've been in too many fight scenes to make him scared of his powers. Perhaps he thinks the wild magic side-effects have left him? Who knows. I've also thought some of his education into magic, and come to a conclusion that the first spell he cast was Minor Illusion and that he's either had, or still has, a teacher. And that his lower-than-average INT translates to not being very booksmart, nor a particularily good student, who might learn a lot of things regarding spellcraft by heart but the relationship between the factoids never clicks, thus preventing him from casting anything but low-level magic (with leveling up showing him coming to better appreciate the power in his hands).
So if the gambling-lucky-random-thing is 33% of Lo, interest in Arcana is another 33% then what would be the final third? I still feel like there's something missing, some little bit of OOMPH that might be as simple as figuring out his opinion on some topic. Just one more hinge to get a better leverage on WHO he is so he'd not be roleplayed so basic all the time...
I often forego minmaxing or even taking combat-useful feats in lieu of "what would make sense for my character" (as his primary reason for learning magic until now has been trickery, thus most of his metamagic and and spells are chosen with that in mind, even if I know that we'll be spending months in the wilderness). I mean, it's not like I'm trying to scramble more content for his backstory and personality to make him more "special" or "powerful". I think I'm just constantly scared that I'm going to make a bad character, or worse yet, a boring character who doesn't add anything to the party.
