A8. Their worst failures/screw-ups
Mikhail's worst screw-up was being captured by a really powerful enemy while being on guard duty in a city with his party. They just fought some zombie-like fish creatures and Mikhail was getting ready to investigate further, but the party fell in a trap and they were all captured. Mikhail tried to hide and escape but completely failed. When he woke up, he realized he was chained to a wall and couldn't break free. He had lost a lot of weight to the point where his bones were sort of showing through his skin and wasn't sure the others were alive. His patron mocked him for falling into such a trap and decided to help him out of pity. However, Mikhail was forced to make another pact with him and now he needs to get his hands on whatever his patron wants or face the consequences.
A11. What makes them stressed
Mikhail gets stressed when surrounded by people he doesn't know that keep on talking to him. He is very reserved and doesn't like to talk about himself, especially because he's just pretending to be a priest and hiding his true identity, so whenever someone asks him questions about his religion and past he gets very stressed out. Also, having to play the "good guy" part and cover his tracks is very stressful for him: one slip and Mikhail might end up dead.
B11. Pet peeves
Mikhail is easily annoyed by a lot of small things, he has little tolerance to be truthful. Some of his pet peeves include: being interrupted while he's talking or being talked over, strangers getting too close or touching him without permission, people that feel the need to add unnecessary details to whatever they're saying, chewing with the mouth open or talking while chewing, being stared at, and many more.
B12. Inspirations or general thoughts behind their creation
Mikhail's original design came to me through a forum game. Initially, I didn't really know what to do with him despite really liking the design so I kept him in the back of my mind until I started RPing again with my current D&D group. I wanted to play as a warlock with an evil alignment, and the design came back to my mind. However, I decided to tweak it a little bit to make it appear more like a tiefling: I added a pair of small horns, made his ears pointy, and I called it a day. I kept everything else the same because I thought the design was gorgeous the way it was, but those two small changes made it perfect for me. I made him a Fiend Warlock, which means he stipulated a pact with a demon (the lava slug thingy on his ref, Draz'Gore), and, the more the campaign progressed, the better I fleshed him out. His 2nd ref has some details addition for when he is casting spells: his right hand and eyes now resemble his patron's looks. Mikhail also has a small scar on his right hand, which was the result of the 2nd pact he made with his patron. I decided to give Mikhail a disguise because it would be easier for him to fit in and ultimately reach his goals, despite sometimes people doubting his true identity mostly due to his looks and lack of mercy when fighting. Overall, I just wanted him to be the typical character that you don't fully understand: he seems nice, but sometimes he takes questionable decisions and you feel kind of uneasy around him, without being able to exactly guess why.
