Generate 5 Questions For The OC Above
Using this generator, setting the range as 1-36!!

How this works is each person posts a character, then the next person replies with five randomly generated numbers that correspond to questions about them!! Hopefully that makes sense; I thought it would be a cool idea ^^

The questions I'm using are by jennystahl on tumblr, which you can see here. I might update this thread with more questions in the future, and suggestions are welcome too!! Now onto the actual questions...

18. What kind of people do they usually interact with? Who are their friends, the people they look up to/trust, and who are their “associates”?

3. Describe their family. Who raised them, and who had the most impact on them? Did they have any siblings? Who were they closest to? What were the family dynamics like?

33. How do they react to the changing times? Are they adaptable or do they reject modernity?

19. What is their current relationship with their family?

4. What was the most common argument between them and whoever raised them?

1. Briefly describe the way their parents grew up, and how it affected the way they raised them.

Lorifi is lawn gnome, so she didn't really have "parents" at all. Her "parent" would be whoever created her and brought her to life. I have no information about whoever created her right now, so I don't really know how to answer this. Her creator just liked making gnomes, I guess?

4. What was the most common argument between them and whoever raised them?

Once again, no information on her creator (she probably doesn't even know/remember who they are). Lorifi can argue over almost anything though, so I wouldn't be surprised if she argued over a bunch of dumb stuff.

8. What was their childhood/teenage bedroom like?

Being a gnome, she probably didn't even have her own room. She technically does now, since I personally like to imagine that she has her own little shack to live in now, but as a "child", she probably didn't have her own room.

9. When they got hurt as a child, who did they go to? How did they react?

This answer is pretty much relevant to Lori's whole life, but she usually doesn't care that much when she gets hurt (unless it's a major injury). She's very reckless. If it's a minor injury, she'll just slap on a bandage or use some glue and call it a day.

10. What did they dream of doing when they grew up? How and why did it change, if it did?

Gnome cult. Gnome worship. G N O M E. (Serious answer: She's always wanted to become a leader of a gnome cult. It may sound weird at first, but when you know the context behind her creation, it'll make a lot more sense. She started from a joke btw.)

10. What did they dream of doing when they grew up? How and why did it change, if it did?

He originally wanted to be an adventurer with his friend, Melissa. But she got killed, and he just sorta wandered around the world sorta doing nothing. It was nothing like he'd wanted, so he got into the "stabby business", and he aspired to be one of the more famous man-for-hire. His dream does come true

14. How do they fit into their story? Give a brief summary of the effect they have on the events around them.

He's the third in command of a notorious criminal/vigilante organization, and also the adopted child of the leader. He gives a major advantage to them both on and off the field. He just wreaks chaos wherever he goes

17. Do they have any enemy factions or groups? Why and how are they opposed, and how do they feel about it?

He has multiple. Some of them are those "heroic" types who disagree with the way he and his organization do justice, and others hate them for "serving justice". Enemies on both sides kinda deal. He doesn't really care, as that just means more people to stab if the boss man allows it

22. What kind of place do they live in?

A nice little apartment of sorts in the organizations base. He decorates it with random lights and trinkets, along with that one corner covered in blueprints for his side projects. Keeps a cactus on his desk.

23. What do they always carry with them and why?

He constantly carries his fish bone charm, cross chain and sword/whip with him. The fish bone charm was a gift to him from Melissa, and the sword was a gift to him from Boss Man. The cross chain was something he stole found when he was wandering the streets, he's had it with him since.

When he got hurt as a child, who did he go to? How did he react?

He was a resilient kid, to say the least. He rarely needed help, and he could usually brush it off. However, if he ever did get really hurt, he would mostly likely go to his sister. Out of everyone he knew, he wasn’t as close anyone as much as her. He usually tries to act tough about it, but with a few questions and some reluctant help, he usually breaks down in tears and submits to the care of his guardians trying to rush him to the er after he somehow shattered his arm even while he was locked in his room.

Does he have any enemy factions or groups? Why and how is he opposed, and how does he feel about it?

Yes, and no. In the mortal plane, he has a number of enemies, the result of his thousands of on-and-off deals he’s made over the millennia. In the Celestial plane however, he really only has his family and acquaintances to fear. He’s made some normally shamed decisions, and is under the constant scrutiny of his guardians whenever he visits them,

Briefly describe his life in the future, regardless of how far into the future this is.

Most likely he’s raising a kid with Marc and Makaiah. After awhile of their marriage, Maki gets pregnant with a girl, and they have a child. Since he’s always around, Talus tags along in the parenting, and as she gets older, they get really close, and a lot of big things in life (driving, picking out collages) are chosen alongside Talus.

Where did he grow up? What was it like? Was he happy there?

He grew up in region two of the Celestial realm, which is the second most upperclass of the realm. He hated it, to put it simply. He really hated the standards and tightness of the place. It didn’t let him be as free and rebellious as he wanted, so he decided at the age of 28bil (20 in physically/mentally) to drop out of school and become one of those deal-making spirits, and the rest is history.

What’s the worst (in his mind) way his current situation could end up?

Everyone he knows and loves is against him, and he is just kinda abandoned. His biggest fear is rejection, and he would be in a very low place if this ever happened.

5. Where did they grow up? What was it like? Were they happy there?

26. What’s the worst (in their mind) way their current situation could end up?

--

What part of their past (death, other significant event) do they think affects them the most?

likely her feeling responsible / guilty for being unable to save her wife, abzu, 'fast enough'. in reality there was nothing tiamat could've done.

How do they fit into their story? Give a brief summary of the effect they have on the events around them.

she acts as a protagonist's mother, though she also owns and is the bartender at a central location in the overarching story

What is their current relationship with their family?

she's not in contact with any parents or siblings, good relationship with wife, and although she worries quite a bit for her daughter's safety, they're close.

What kind of people  do they usually interact with? Who are their friends, the people they  look up to/trust, and who are their “associates”?

her bar is a magnet for criminals and otherwise shady individuals. tiamat herself wouldn't consider herself a criminal, and she isn't really one to begin with - she simply offers a place of 'business exchanges' to these people, though takes no nonsense from them.

What hobby or pastime of theirs do they consider most important to them and why?

mixology / bartending! because it's her job , and she's very good at it :p

10. What did they dream of doing when they grew up? How and why did it change, if it did?

They actually wanted to be an artist growing up, but the fact that you can't get all too far just with graphite sketches made it seem a lot less viable as they got older. Eventually they shifted gears to fishing as they found they enjoyed it during family trips that took them near lakes and rivers.

18. What kind of people do they usually interact with? Who are their friends, the people they look up to/trust, and who are their “associates”?

No one lol. Nah, but in all seriousness he doesn't interact with a lot of folks given that he's living in the middle of the woods for the sole purpose of getting away from people. There's a mage or two he sells magical fish to and gets enchantments for his rod and miscellaneous items from, the ghosts he's basically forced to help, and the occasional phone call with his parents.

19. What is their current relationship with their family?

Pretty good honestly. Xe love xer parents and the inverse is true as well. Xe doesn't see them all too often since xe's made sure that they're unaware of where exactly xe lives and xe only really leaves the forest to get groceries and help ghosts whose unfinished business can't be resolved from the woods. They're a little worried about xem since having no location to go off of is concerning, but xe calls them once or twice a month to assure them that things are well.

23. What do they always carry with them and why?

It usually carries around a small notepad of some sort, a pencil, a very small ball of clay, and its fishing rod. The notepad and pencil are so it can write down any thoughts it has on the go or sketch out something of interest it sees, the ball of clay is just to rub between its fingers whenever it's feeling agitated or uncomfortable, and the fishing rod is just since it usually ends up fishing at some point whenever it steps out of its cabin.

25. If someone mentioned their name to someone else, what would they immediately think of (i.e. defining characteristic, appearance- or personality-wise)?

Honestly they'd probably confuse it for Bastien and therefore assume that they're French or at least European in some capacity, which isn't the case.

2. Which social class did they belong to growing up? How did it affect them?
Santiago grew up in the higher / richer classes. However, this kind of contradicted his personality. He was known to be empathetic and kind to those around them, but rich people in his time were more snobby. He also ended up going to a high-class school, which was a terrible experience. He couldn't make friends and was regularly bullied for his sensitive nature. And even if they didn't bully him, Santiago wouldn't even want to interact with them anyway

5. Where did they grow up? What was it like? Were they happy there?
Grew up in 1920s~ Mexico. Yes, he was very happy there minus the sucky people in the upper class. His family was amazing, and to him that's all that really mattered. That and helping lost souls, but I'll get to that in the next question...

10. What did they dream of doing when they grew up? How and why did it change, if it did?
A necromancer. And nope, it has never ever changed. Ever since his father explained to him that his powers were a gift rather than a curse, they knew that their goal in life was to bring them to good use and help as many people as possible. This was only amplified after his father's passing, in which he literally swore to honor his family bloodline and stuff. I guess I could make a case that this sort of shifted at the end of his story, but the only thing that changed was that he was doing it for himself and the future rather to honor the past.

20. Do they have a partner? How did they meet, and what’s their relationship like now?
Nope! Santiago wants one, but since he travels so much and deals with a lot of sad stuff in his job, he wouldn't want to project all of that into his partner. But maybe I'll give him one

26. What’s the worst (in their mind) way their current situation could end up?
I'm going to interpret 'current situation' as his whole story, which is his goal to bring good fortune to his family by being a perfect necromancer. The worst way this could end up in his opinion is him...failing. To be more specific, failing as in not being able to help all the souls he needs to help and stuff. Or he could have gotten killed by an assassin (since he has cool powers and stuff he sometimes has a big bounty on his head)

5. Where did they grow up? What was it like? Were they happy there?

12. What are some of their biggest regrets?

25. If someone mentioned their name to someone else, what would they immediately think of (i.e. defining characteristic, appearance- or personality-wise)?

30. How would their beliefs or morals change in the future, if at all?

34. Would they become a mentor figure for anyone?

4. What was the most common argument between them and whoever raised them?

Harlow got along fairly well with her parents, but I'd say the biggest conflict growing up was her rather large goals and wants that would cost a lot of money.

6. Did the location they grew up in affect them significantly? Do they still go there?

She was raised in a rather large city, so it did impact her to make her quite used and fond to the hustle and bustle. They still visit sometimes!

15. What is their current occupation, if any, and how did they end up there? Do they enjoy it?

They're the Kalos champion! She sort of accidentally became champion after she said "yeah let's just wing this gym challenge lol" and ended up defeating Diantha. She really enjoys it! She's also trying to become a fashion designer.

18. What kind of people do they usually interact with? Who are their friends, the people they look up to/trust, and who are their “associates”?

She interacts with a lot of people, being the champion, but she has a close group of friends as well as her girlfriend! She really looks up to the former champion.

19. What is their current relationship with their family?

She gets along with her parents well :)

19. What is their current relationship with their family?

Spoilered for long answers

6. Did the location they grew up in affect them significantly? Do they still go there?

In a way, yes. His home is a constant reminder of the things his parents have achieved and how he should live up to their expectations. It stresses him out and not to mention that his home is near the city which is a rather fast paced environment so it felt like he had to adapt faster. Though he lives comfortably there and is financially well-off than most families. Elishah doesn't go there anymore since his relationship with his parents is now distant while he worked and after he quit his job. He also doesn't want to be reminded of the pressure he went through and the fact that no matter what he does, he'll never please his parents.

21. What hobby or pastime of theirs do they consider most important to them and why?

Reading! He's been an avid reader since he was a kid but his relationship with it changed over time when something that he enjoys doing becomes a responsibility (academically) to the point that he doesn't see it as an enjoyment anymore but a burden to shoulder. Elishah doesn't even realize this throughout his days of studying at school. He just wanted his parents to acknowledge his efforts and it eventually became a routine for him. Though he does feel tired. Rekindling his love for books has led him to change his life for the better and for himself instead of for the validation of others. Now he feels content with his current place in life, being in an environment where he gets to enjoy what he does and live his life without anyone to shape him into what they think he should be.

25. If someone mentioned their name to someone else, what would they immediately think of (i.e. defining characteristic,  appearance- or  personality-wise)?

"Elishah your friendly neighborhood librarian!" /j

I think it would be his amiable, warm and welcoming nature. He's happy to help and attend to your needs and the fact he seems to know exactly what book you want no matter what description will definitely stand out to people in a bemusing manner. He's also a good listener and will lend a shoulder to lean on or an ear for you to vent out to or just ramble lightheartedly about your interests. Adding in to the warm part, he looks very huggable and cuddly so people couldn't resist embracing him out of gratitude if he lets them.

Appearance-wise, it would be his little cowbell probably. The "klink klink" sound of it would be the first thing to greet you if Elishah approaches you. That would be quite distinctive to people's thoughts and catch their attention first.

29. Are they content with their future situation? Is there anything they would change?

Yes he is! Elishah is definitely happy and feels much more at peace with his situation now. He enjoys being a librarian and the type of company it brings, the quiet environment and just being surrounded by the things he love is sure gonna connect with his childhood self in a good way instead of it being stressing throughout his academic years. He still feels lonely so I think the one thing he wants to change is having someone to love him (whether romantically or platonically) and if not, then someone who would tell him that he is valued and that they're proud of him despite not having a job that society would deem "successful".

34. Would they become a mentor figure for anyone?

That's something I'm not quite sure of yet but I've definitely thought about. I have thought of a character who works in IT and is going through first job anxiety, frantically searching the library for resources about their work. That's when Elishah comes in to help since he formerly worked as an IT too and would try to calm them down. Then they would return often to the library and Elishah would tell them all the things he picked up on when he worked there and guide them. I haven't quite developed it fully yet and I'm not sure if I'll keep this idea but Elishah probably would if I do decide to go through with it.

  4. What was the most common argument between them and whoever raised them?

During his upbringing, he had little awareness of his existance other than the words that he will make a major difference to the world.

But as he grew, he began to learn of his "father"'s true intentions and began to express concerns and questioning the ethical nature of his 'role'. When he became fully aware of his future, he directly challenged him to feuds and arguments. He was quite well spoken, compared to his peers so verbal accusations and fights became common.

Eventually he gave up and tried to flee, kidnapped his brothers... but it backfired.

5. Where did they grow up? What was it like? Were they happy there?

Robi was raised in a dying planet, much akin to the protagonist of Final Fantasy 9. Due to his father's intentions, he wasn't given the level of humility and care as any other parent would.

He was raised as a child soldier so there was little he could learn other than the skills for harming and killing others. Naturally he began to show restraint and resentment towards his handler and wanted to escape to the planet, that was to be consumed by the other.

18. What kind of people do they usually interact with? Who are their friends, the people they look up to/trust, and who are their “associates”?

Having a family of fellow agents of death, Robi only sees Zidane as his closest friend and brother. Neither his sister or elder brother weren't so family focused. Though he also trusts the friends, his brother befriended.

19. What is their current relationship with their family?

As mentioned above, Robi shares his emotions and love for Zidane only. Mikoto wasn't aged well enough to experience the same humility enough as when Zidane was raised on Gaia.

Due to how he was made, Kuja wasn't considered family neither since his lack of resolve prevented him from bonding with his siblings.

35. How do they feel about getting older and eventually dying?

Robi knows at some point that he will pass away but due to how his home works, he is certain that his soul would be reabsorbed by the planet's core and reborn as something else, or be implanted into one of the wandering Genomes within Black Mage Village.

Tomoe Tewro

4. What was the most common argument between them and whoever raised them?

5. Where did they grow up? What was it like? Were they happy there?

18. What kind of people do they usually interact with? Who are their friends, the people they look up to/trust, and who are their “associates”?

19. What is their current relationship with their family?

35. How do they feel about getting older and eventually dying?

1. Briefly describe the way their parents grew up, and how it affected the way they raised them.

- tomoe's mother grew up in the city's slums and being surrounded by poverty, crime and corruption her whole life she became quite numb to it all, accepting it as just 'the way things are'. raising tomoe this sort of indifference definitely came through as she made no attempt to shield tomoe from the harshness of life but rather just told her to be careful and do her best. she was never cynical about the world though, which is the thing that most struck tomoe: she could be happy despite her circumstances in life, she just had to find her own way to do so. realistically though tomoe more or less raised herself as her mother had her own problems to deal with (and was not at all mature enough to be a mother, let's be real here)

23. What do they always carry with them and why?

- quite a few things, as tomoe hates to be caught unprepared! swiss army knife for one, flashlight, gloves... the sort of stuff she uses in her work. aside from those though, she always has her phone on her too

33. How do they react to the changing times? Are they adaptable or do they reject modernity?

- she loves innovation! tomoe is fascinated by technology and the ways it'll change lives - maybe a bit too much, sometimes jumping into new things without really considering the possible consequences. but while she loves innovation she hates the fact technology in her world is strongly tied to an oppressive government that promotes wealth inequality and exploitation

19. What is their current relationship with their family?

- very good! she loves her mother dearly despite barely seeing her face to face anymore. tomoe strives to make her mother proud and improve her life. while not related by blood, seiji is like a brother to her (having grown up together) and her best friend who she wouldn't trade for the world

30. How would their beliefs or morals change in the future, if at all?

- as her story unfolds tomoe understands that the world isn't as simple as 'good vs. bad' and that not everyone who disagrees with her beliefs is inherently wrong. she realises vigilantism - while not wrong per se - is more of a short term solution but that only removing people at the top won't cause long-lasting change if the underlying system stays
