 K-550 Aleksandr Nevskiy Ledokol

This 'cultural exchange' mission sent him to this lady, whom K-550 wasn't even sure what nationality and culture she came from. After all, even within his own country, Russia is vast enough that with a over a hundred different groups of people, he certainly couldn't say he knew what considered signature dishes of the Buryats or the Lezgins in southern Dagestan. The task he had been put on was to...eat the dish she cooked. That didn't sound like a much difficult instruction, did it? Knowing a few groups of people in Eastern Siberia cook dishes in rather simple appearance, he wasn't going to judge what was placed in front of him.

"I'm truly grateful for your kindness to cook something for me, thank you very much," he carefully dug his spoon among the glop and guided it to his oral cavity. And instantly his system was flood with data, alerting how dangerous the food was. Keeping his face straight, the second Borey examined the information sent from tiny sensors located within his oral cavity; enough capsicum to burn human's mouth in one bite? By five bites, this dish could successfully kill humans, even one without allergy to capsicum. By now he internally started making a guess that his host was likely from the nations famous for spicy food...maybe Mexico? Thailand? Hungary?? But here he was put to the task to enjoy the meal from this lady. He was not here to give opinion to her food. And he was definitely going to complete the task and not offending this lady who provided him a meal.

The second bite gave a whole new sensation to him; something was wiggling on his tongue. The android with light brown hair blocked out the information alert before it even reached him, chewed and swallowed dutifully. He didn't need to know what it was. The alarm concerning the raising level of capsicum also returned, and he blocked it, too. These warnings here were all nuisance; he wasn't on the duty to taste food for humans whether it was safe to eat so he didn't have to pay intention to what his sensors told him. They could bring all capsicum in the world at him and he doubted it could compete with the heat of nuclear reactor.

Ignoring the rest of data flooding from his inner system, he practically cleaned off the dish. Task assigned to consume the meal for the cultural exchange mission and not to disappoint his host - completed. Just then his gray eyes detected a glass of wine and hesitated for a few seconds. Alcoholic beverages were something frowned upon and were often advised for androids not to consume, unless for some rare occasion when they were required to join in social gathering with ordinary humans. The state just wanted to maintain the 'clean' impression of androids, even though in reality alcohol didn't affect their systems the same way it could cloud human's logical judgement. Expecting that the 'main task' was entirely passed, K-550 reached for the elegant glass while his inorganic brain worked on elaborating a speech to thank his host again.

...But then as he downed the wine, the capsicum alert popped back on, much to his surprised.

It was time to wrap up the mission and Sashka went on a business mode, not mentioning a thing about the food's taste since his host surely hadn't asked for an opinion. "Thank you so much for providing me a new experience. It's highly valuable to me. If it's not a bother, could you please kindly inform me where could I get that wine you've served me? Such wine could become a popular alternative choice of alcoholic beverage to be consumed among the human personnel in the Kamchatka base I belong to..."

"My deepest apologies for taking you away from the town. However, civilians are simply not allowed into Vilyuchinsk. Trying to get you in will pose more troubles than good." The place where he took his guest to was a log cabin homestay which recently sprouted up to cater the growing number of foreign tourists in the remote eastern peninsula. The view from out of the window showed a snow blanketed landscape of -20C winter in Kamchatka. The android excused himself to the recreational ground of the homestay, just within sight from a window of the lounge area. With snow and ice covered every square inch of the ground outside, one might not aware there was a pond out there until K-550 took out an ice auger to drill a hole on the frozen water surface. The menu he had in mind required fish as an ingredient, the fresher the better...

Around fifteen minutes went by before he caught a poor fish that would become the meal. Was it...a perch? Ridiculously, the 6'1 figure then sprinted back indoor as if to immediately escape from the cold, although he hardly displayed any discomfort during the fifteen minutes fishing session. He then got into the mission to cook and without missing a beat, slapped the unfortunate live fish on the counter and cut it up straight away before transferring the pieces of perch in a pot and added water from a tap. After setting the pot on the stove, he then got himself busy with chopping a few vegetables for the next part once the soup's broth finished boiling.

However, his plan wasn't enough for just one dish. After adding celery, carrot and potatoes in the fish-based broth, the warfare android who took the cooking task a bit too serious then started the preparation of the second dish. After all, there was no telling how familiar his guest was to Russian food. Thus he decided to make another dish which had its origin from outside of Russia. Another pot with water was set on the next spot of the stove, a cup of macaroni was poured into it. He then began chopping a onion, threw the onion and ground beef in a pan before focused intensely on frying them. In a flurry of activities, the macaroni was rinsed and added to the simmering pan and seasoned with salted and pepper, attention was diverted to the fish soup, more fresh herbs were added after the soup went into a bowl and closely followed by the macaroni into a pristine white dish.

"Perch-based Ukha and Al dente Makarony Po-Flotski," he sat both dishes on the table. They didn't look like they could cause food poisoning despite being cook by an artificial intelligence, "I apologize of any blunder. Being a warfare android, cooking is certainly not my strong point. I'm sure these are perfectly edible...although the flavor may not be up to your taste."

 Vein -Nocturne-

Vein hums curiously, glancing over the dishes before her. She would've expected a military android to have presented her with something tasteless and half-hearted, but surprisingly, it actually looks fairly decent, plating included.

She goes for the Ukha first, figuring that it looks the simpler of the two dishes and it probably the most boring, and is consequently surprised when it actually turns out to be rather good. She finishes the soup off pretty quickly -- Trying to hide her enjoyment of it and rush to eat it all the entire time -- and then moves on to the Makaroni Po-Flotski, which also surprises her with how well it tastes, and she once again ends up thinly attempting to conceal her appreciation for the dish as she completely cleans the plate.

When she's done, Vein sits back, tapping a finger against her chin and silently thinking with an expression impossible to read for a worryingly long amount of time. Eventually, finally, she speaks up:

"It wasn't bad at all. It slightly lacks... Heart, though. I know you're an android made for war, but everyone should have their hobbies outside of their job. Perhaps you should try experimenting with the recipes a little more, instead of following their steps exactly. I've heard that adding a personal touch to them can change them entirely, sometimes." She pauses again for another long few moments before very quietly, very hesitantly, adding "I wonder if you might teach me how to make Ukha sometime, though."

-----

"...Dinner, huh." Vein places her hands on her hips, surveying the kitchen. It occurs to her she's never actually made anything herself before; She doesn't need to eat, but even when she does simply because she wants to, Blair just conjured it, or someone else had made it, or she'd just eaten something as it had been without really modifying it. Looking around, now, realizing just how complex making food might actually be...

Well. She's a deity. Surely it can't be that hard. "Let's see... What is it that mortals like to eat nowadays, again?"

In the end, what comes out is of... Questionable quality. The components on their own are actually pretty decent, cooked well and evenly if cooked and clearly fresh and clean if not, and the plating is excellent, with fitting garnish and carefully set into a colorful array, but the meal as a whole is very much a mismatch of flavors that are a total crime to put together. There's carefully grilled slice of salmon with french and ranch dressing drizzled over it, a refreshing chef salad with thin pieces of green, fluffy cotton candy scattered in, a slice of pizza with thick whipped cream somehow baked into the crust... It very quickly becomes clear that Vein has absolutely no idea what kinds of things become a delicious meal when put together and what kinds of things become an abomination of nature when put together.

Lastly, Vein sets down a cup of camomile tea -- Thankfully, it seems she hasn't messed with it too much, so that, at least, should taste decent -- before stepping back and folding her arms across her chest, raising an eyebrow at her guest expectantly. And slightly threateningly, but it's hard to tell whether that's on purpose or just as a result of her constant glare.

(Vein doesn't understand how taste works good luck)

Aurlyn Astrea (nee Niobe Yue) Linixu

Aurlyn looked at dishes; picking up the fork she took a small samples of each, humming and musing to herself. Any type of fancy food was an odd commodity to her, her diet being largely restricted to plain foods for most of the year due to the demand for her to have a certain appearance to appease the nobles within her kingdom. A model, she must be, for the masses to unite under.

"This... is quite the oddity... the salmon isn't bad." Aurlyn mused and sheepishly looked at the other dishes, before begrudgingly taking a bite. "Mmmm.... ahh... it's... decent, I suppose." A painful smile plastered on her face as she tried the 'pizza' and 'salad'. Finally she took a sip of the tea to wash down the odd flavors, hoping it wasn't another flavor... bomb "This though, it's good tea!"

Aurlyn looked into her cup of tea, contemplating something, before looking up at Vein. "Just between us though, don't you think... souls, especially of the wicked... taste rather... nice, the texture is good too. I miss my days, rampaging and destroying cities, I put those days behind me, of course, I vowed to be good." A small spark gleam behind her doe-like eyes. "I would defend my people to my death, and crush my opponents, no mercy. I hope we can relate, Miss ... Grim Reaper."

Cooking a dish? What an absurdity, of course only a feast was in order for any of Aurlyn's guests. Upon receiving notice of the guests arrival, she ran to the kitchens and kicked all the staff out saying about how she wanted to make the food herself. After all, what type of princess would she be if she could not even cook?

Lining up her available ingredients, she decided to serve bread, tomato soup, slow roasted ribs, fruit salad and a lava cake for her guest. Running upstairs, she ran into Xion who recently returned from a hunting trip and had caught a boar, "Can you bring that down to the kitchen? I'm making ribs tonight, we have a special guest who is coming over."

Xion frowned, "Sure sweetcheeks, but a guest? I wasn't notified of this and shouldn't the staff be cooking?"

"It was impromptu, and I kicked the staff out." Aurlyn opened a closet door and pulled out some flour, "And could you butcher the boar for me to?" she called as she went running back downstairs and into the kitchen.

Within a couple hours most of the food was ready to be served, the bread freshly baked, salad waiting to be tossed, the ribs would be served hot and straight from the oven, and the lava cake was ready to be baked halfway through the meal so that it can be served piping hot.

"The guest is here, Aurlyn." Xion called. Aurlyn ran upstairs, to greet her guests, quickly forgetting about the flour that dusted her apron that she still wore and parts of her hair and face.

"Welcome! I've prepared dinner for you, won't you come in to the dining room? I'll serve you in just a moment!" She ran back downstairs and carried up the dishes on a giant platter that seemed to heavy for her small frame. But, nevertheless she carried it quite easily and happily. "A fruit salad with hints of mint, very refreshing after a long day. Fresh rye bread, made from our local farmer's flour, you won't find anything better than this anywhere else! Some ribs; the boar was freshly caught today. I also have lava cake for dessert, but that will be served at the end." Placing down the food, she bowed and backed up standing await, almost maid-like.

Kelly Combes FellowPigeon

"Woah! This actually looks pretty good!" Kellys says, looking almost surprised. "Mum says I'm too picky but that's not true, I just don't eat gross stuff." She looks hungrily over the food but stops when she spots the ribs. "Oh, I can't eat that," she says frowning and pushing the plate away from her, "I don't eat meat,"

Before even touching her fork, Kelly reaches into her pocket and digs around for a moment, pulling out three pieces of what appears to be Rose Quartz. After placing them in a triangle around her food she digs in. "Yum!" she says through a mouthful of bread and fruit. In a few minutes, her plate is clean.

"Heck yes!" she whoops as dessert is brought out. The seagull that had been calmly sitting on her should up this point begins to hop up and down before pecking at the cake, Kelly doesn't seem to mind.

'My mums said I was in charge of dinner tonight," Kelly says with an air of importance in her voice. "So if you want food, come with me."

After walking for a few minutes Kelly and her guest found themselves at a small, rundown looking shop, The sign above the window reading: Fish and Chips + Chinese and another blinking 'OPEN'. Kelly leaned up against the counter and ordered three scoops of chips as the owner eyed her seagull. Kelly stood in silence as the chips cooked and when they were ready simply yelled "Follow me.' as she walked out of the shop.

The two quickly arrived at a park bench sitting next to the beech the beach with the sun setting over the South Pacific Ocean. Kelly unwrapped the still warm chips. "They never put enough salt of them at that shop," she says pouring even more salt onto them. They were definitely oversalted now. Kelly passed a chip to her seagull and grabbed a handful for herself. "Well," she says blinking "Dig in"

Havoc AllSeeingPortrait

Carlos dug into the chips, a wide grin on their face. "These are really good! I'll have to remember this place!"

---------------------

Carlos leads their newfound friend to the Base of Operations, a small apartment on the edge of town. Working quickly and chatting with their guest the whole time, they eventually serve up a surf and turf dish consisting of steak cooked medium rare, salmon, and homemade fries.

 Ryan (Last legally removed) TopHatProductions115

Ryan swiftly ate the steak, salmon, and home fries. They were seasoned well, and served to perfection :) He thanked the chef, and paid a (unidentified amount) tip to compensate.

-------

Knowing of an interesting dish he had eaten a while back, he decided to challenge himself. He would make a 5-course meal, each with a different garnish. The first item that he served was crayfish and scallops, with clarified dipping butter and mild marinara sauce (1). A sea-inspired appetizer, to keep the guest from starving. It was served with two slices of cucumber. When the appetizer was close to depleted, he served garlic bread with the guest's choice of dipping sauce and topped with a sprinkling of oregano, to keep them satisfied (2).

Then, he prepared veal, with portabella mushroom caps, a side of sauteed asparagus, and garlic-roasted red potatoes. The potatoes were served with a gravy that was produced from the au jus of the veal, and lightly salted (3). The initial dish came with a garnish of parsley, but the side dish (palate cleanser) came with a small assortment of mint - a salad, with romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, baby spinach, and a light vinaigrette (4).

Then, came the final dish - a choice of desert. The first part of the final course was a fruit soup, with a slice of complimentary fruit. The next piece was a platter of assorted fruit slices and treats, all dipped in either dark or milk chocolate. The final piece was the finisher - an ice cream sundae/banana split hybrid. (5)

Quick note - I just finished eating dinner, so I'm just fine :)

Valentine PicklePantry

Valentine gaped with excitement at the wonderful dishes prepared for him, stars practically shining around him. Always a fan of scallops, the cherub eagerly took a few bites, impressed by the rich flavors that were nicely complimented by the cucumbers. As he dabbed his mouth with a napkin, he was given garlic bread. A fine dish, yet he chose to not dip it in anything. He took only a few bites, concerned that he would be too full to enjoy the rest of his meal. He was glad he did so when he was presented with the main course. Beautifully adorned mushroom caps with a combination of the finest ingredients all blending together to provide a wondrous dinner.
The cherub leaned back in his seat, deeply satisfied with the dinner. But wait! He perked at the ice cream dessert placed in front of him. His eyes widened with interest, but his stomach argued. He was full, but it looked so enticing! And so he ate it, glad he had done so as the sweet flavors were exactly what he needed to cool off from the mushrooms. Oh, but he'd definitely have to call his employees to help him home.

"Dinner is the most romantic of food breaks, non?" Valentine asks his guest as he sets down a tray of large shrimp he planned to cook. He had a pink apron adorned with hearts around his body, and a chef hat that drooped slightly over his head. "A time to share food with your loved one as the moon rises to overlook your relationship. Ah! Such beauty, non?? I shall make you a dinner worthy of such love!"
Lemon juice, parsley, shrimp, tomatoes. They all were put together quickly by the man's quick work, heatedly cooking noodles to the perfect texture while prepping produce and showering them lightly with seasoning. The shrimp were prepped and soon added to the dish, and soon enough he had placed it all on a dish, pouring sauce over it to form a heart.

"I give to you linguine!" Valentine beamed. He set down a glass and poured wine down to compliment the dish. "I poured my heart and love into it, ah~! Shall I sing to you as you eat, mon ami~?"

Kaine Arkanus PicklePantry

Ark sat at the table, golden eyes staring at the pies presented to him. His fork sank through the dough with ease, a cloud of steam sneaking out and inviting him closer. He took a bite, a satisfied smile spreading across his elegant lips.
"Divine," he breathed and looked up at the Tiefling. "I always found cooking to be a way to judge one's life. Good cooking with precise instructions. You grew up with love and kindness, even if it was through but one person." He took a few more bites, and after a while he gently pat his mouth with a napkin as he rose from his chair. "You have a heavy fate dealt against you, one filled with fears and hesitation. I believe you can overcome it, no matter how troublesome." He glanced over at the dish, then back at her, a soft smile on his lips. "You treated me to a dish, now let me repay the favor and help you."

"You came earlier than I expected!" Ark laughed lightly as you step inside. You'd think someone so elegant and suave would have a mansion, but no, he's in a small cottage in a forest. His hat and his coat are hung up, showing him with simple clothes and a stained apron on, some flour powdered over his face and arms.
"It's going to be a few more minutes. Please, take a seat!" He motions towards a wooden table at the end of the kitchen. As you sit down, Ark heartily talks to you about all the fun moments you two shared earlier that week. Sometimes he brings up something funny he heard, or something adorable he saw while he was picking up groceries. He talks just as much as he cooks, and his smile is so bright and happy. It's like you're the first friend he got to visit with in a long, long time.

Finally, a dish is set down before you.
Home cooked pizza, with freshly made sauce and cheese.
Ark smiles and sits across from you. "I remembered you saying something about this, so I thought you'd like some." He motioned towards the dish. "Go on, take a bite! I want to see if I did a good job before I steal a slice myself!" he laughs. Propping his cheek against a fist, he watches you reach for a slice.
His golden eyes gleam in anticipation.

Salvador Wapenburg fizzelston

Salvador founds himself in a hospital. The most eerie place he had ever visit. He wasn't here for himself, Roswell had some kind of ear infection. Or whatever, Salvador didn't care (actually he did and he had googled the details of an ear infection on his phone multiple times and Roswell was prob gonna to die if Salvador had to believe google (which he, of course did)). Sal was hardly surprised that Roswell found this place. The air had a heavy indescribable stance to it, mixed with a hint of..citrus? Again Salvador didn't care (he did, and the weird smell made him shiver). And knew they were here only because it was cheap.

Salvador had 13:17:49 minutes to kill, and started roaming around, the great empty halls The clinical white walls, the soft zooming and flickering lights made Salvador feel, small.. Well, smaller. Sal stumbled on the cafeteria at some point. Empty, like everything else here. Besides, a plate? Another shiver ran down Salvador's spine. Oh man he didn't like hospitals. Were did Ros find this place? The darkweb? www.pleasehealmyearforthelowestpriceposible.org? Curiosity got the better of Salvador as he slipped inside.

The cafeteria was still empty, and there was nobody present (as far as Sal knew/told himself) to be responsible for the food. Letting food go to wast was against everything Salvador stood for, so he took a Sharp breath tried to calm himself before announcing; "Well, don't mind if I do," . With a voice shaking of anxiety. First he plucked the carrots from the plate. It tasted like your average hospital food, nothing to good, not really bad. Then the pork, Sal wasn't a great fan of pork in general but again, principles. The potatoes were alright (really, you can't f*ck up potatoes right?) And the bread tasted even better than he expected! (He def pocketed some bread to share with Ros later(if Ros was still alive that is)) He wolfed down the chocolate cake, and kept the fruits for last. The food was supremely good, for such creepy place. Maybe he was gonna to die in 6 days 23 hours and 58, thanks to some kind of curse but..Worth it.

"Im not the best cook," Salvador warned as he stared at his heavy boiling pan with potatoes. "But yer not gonna to die," he ensured you with a quick nervous smile. He then pointes at an old wooden table, with croocked chairs ad wobbly table legs. "Just wait there i'll be there in 3 minutes and 23 seconds."

This whole one floor victorian time appartement was small, clean somewhat cozy. His bed was in the same room you were living in right now, and an old chandelier with blunt candles showerd you in light. You can smell the scent of clove and cream. Then an egg timer rings. You see Salvador clumsly acting in the kitchen. And exact 3 minutes and 23 seconds later Salvador hands you a plate with, potatoes clove, some cream on the side and slimy red coloured beans. "I'm sorry, I couldnt afford some meat but-" Salvador tells you with a quick smile. "I hope that you can still enjoy this!"

Tamaki Shinsaku YunaNoire

Tamaki had tried to insist that she would cook, but Salvador had insisted otherwise. She didn't mind having other people cook for her... but at the same time she definitely felt more at ease and in control when she was the one in the kitchen. Still, she took the time to relax with a good book while she waited. Salvador's apartment was rather calm, so she found it very easy to get lost in her book.

Moments later, her nose was treated to the smells wafting out from the kitchen. While it wasn't a mouthwatering smell, it certainly helped encourage her appetite. The worry that had once filled her had slowly begun to fade away, feeling more confident that her host would be OK by himself. Right on time, Salvador departed the kitchen with a plate in hand.

Steaming potatoes, beans and a creamy sauce had been plainly placed on the plate. It was a basic meal, but still, Tamaki knew better than to turn her nose up at a meal made especially for her. Bowing her head towards Salvador, she smiled at him politely before picking up her fork.

"Thank you for the food."

Indeed, the dish wasn't quite something she could see herself eating a lot, but it was at least edible and the potatoes themselves were nice and fluffy. If she had to critique though, then she'd definitely say that the dish was a little bland. Still, she cleaned up the plate before resting her fork and bowing her head again.

"Again, thank you very much for the meal. I appreciate you going to all this trouble! You must let me cook for you next time though..."

"I insist, please let me fix you something. You look as if you haven't had a proper meal yet..."

She sighs before lifting her apron from it's hanger and delicately draping it over her front, tying it up at the back. She smiles back to her guest however, her brow lightly furrowed.

"How does Prawn Katsu Curry sound? Until it's ready, please make yourself at home!"

She bows politely to her guest before heading off to the kitchen. There's a flutter of joy inside of her heart at the prospect of making dinner for someone, although it is of course accompanied by a twinge of melancholy. Entering the kitchen, she gets right to work, first preparing the rice steamer, then the rice itself. She adds a generous amount of it to the electronic steamer, already making plans to use the leftovers for a meal later on in the week.

Once the rice is cooking, she then moves on to preparing the prawns. After coating the fresh prawns with egg, flour and panko breadcrumbs, she fries them lightly until they're crispy and golden on the outside. Setting them aside, she starts to prepare the sauce. Admittedly, she feels a little guilty using a store bought roux block, but she'd rather now have her hungry guest waiting for her another 30 minutes. Using just a few extra ingredients though, including a splash of tonkatsu sauce, she manages to have the sauce bubbling away, the smell of the sauce wafting through the kitchen into the dining room.

Once it's all prepared, she dishes up two bowls, a healthy serving of the rice on the bottom, with three golden prawns laying on top, the thick, mild sauce covering them like a blanket. Then, just to add a little bit of flair, she sprinkles some pickled ginger on top.

PrawnKatsuCurry-2370x1440.jpg?ext=.jpg

Bringing the bowls through, she smiles to her guest fondly and bows her head. Gently resting them on the table, she takes her own seat and sits across from her guest. Picking up her own chopsticks, she waits to see just how her guest reacts before sampling some of her own.

Druzy Jellysideaccount

Druzy was sitting at a table, she was told that she was going to experience her first meal. She pecks at the plate in front of her and the utensils, she thought they were decorative. When Tamaki waled into the room, and greeted her with loving, elegance. She smiled with excitement and could barely contain herself, she was very exited.

She takes a look around the room she was in, nothing special. She began to try to peek at what Tamaki was doing, the smells were very wonderful. This is going to be so fantastic! She places her hands in her lap and sighs, she didn't want to seem rude, did she come across as rude? She was so confused about human culture.

When Tamaki returned she gazed at the meal set in front of her, it looked so strange. It kind of looked like the animals Scout brought to her. She picks up the bowl and examines it. "This is very pretty!" She smiles and takes a bite from the whole bowl, glass and all. Not understanding it wasn't food. She pauses to taste it, the flavors were so different, it made her want to smile off of her face. She ate the whole thing, bowl and all. "That was amazing!~ Teach me how to make it!" She smiles with glee.

---

She had to cook now? She places her head in her hands and weeps, she can't cook, she can't do anything except ruin things. She greets her guest with all of the character she can, she tried to mimic Tamaki, the person who had served her. She places a plate on the table. "Umm..." She puts the fork in their lap. "T-there."

She mimics a bow and walks into the kitchen. "Um..." She picks up a cookbook. "Let's see..." She cooks the first thing she sees inside. 'Pan-Fried Shrimp' She follows the instructions exactly, actually doing a great job. She cooks a large portion, she turns the page. She was going to cook all she could, this may be her last time. Also she did not understand humans could not eat infinite amounts of food like she could. She cooks several portions of 'Smoked Gouda and Bacon Cheese Burgers.' Several variants of fruit pies, an entire pan of brownies, a bucket of spicy wings, and to finish it off, 'An American Classic', a Banana Split.

She returns with the food, not eating a single bite, even though she desperately wanted to. All of it looked so pretty. "I hope this is enough. Please, ask for more, I will serve you until we reach the end of infinity."

Terry Lovejoy PicklePantry

Terry came in not expecting much. The flier said free food but he was very hesitant. Poison? Bad cooking? Whatever the case... it was still free food. And if there was anything the teacher knew, it was that his stomach had gone through enough trash food to withstand just about anything.
But never did he imagine he'd get an all-you-can-eat buffet.
There was enough to feed an entire country! Was there supposed to be more people around? Terry frantically looked around to find himself alone with the food. It smelled good, at least, and looked even better. Gulping, he took his first fight at the burger, practically melting at the taste. It was so beautiful, like it was made by God Himself.
That heavenly moment, however, died down as soon as he realized that he still had a mountain of food to finish.

"I never thought I'd be cooking for you," the teacher chuckled from the kitchen, his voice nearly drowned out by the sizzle of the pan. "It's pretty nice, though. I nice change of pace. And I think it'd ease your mind to know that I at least know how to cook. Trust me, you'll love it."
It only took have an hour, but he set the bowl down. It was ramen, the cheap store brand. But something was different. He combined the flavor packets and added both an egg and spinach. Honestly, just one look and you wouldn't have guessed that dish cost only a dollar to make.
