What does the OC above say about their owner?

This thread has rules regarding the effort you have to put in your replies. Please read them carefully before claiming and posting. Violation of these rules could lead to a warning or a ban from my forum games.

Basically a 'lite' version of What do the above user's OCs say about them?. I thought it could be fun! This time, you post IC and you have to tell what the specific OC above (posted IC as well) says about their owner, be it their tastes, personality, way of writing, etc.

  • Please put effort into your claim, and do your best to make it interesting to read!
    • Read the profile of the character you’re claiming! Don’t base your claim on design only; make sure you know what the character is about before writing.
    • Don't state the obvious only, such as "you like this character a lot", "you like anthro characters", or "you like pastel aesthetics". It's fine to use these as a starter, but your final response has to be more thought-out than vague, surface-level assumptions. In other words, do not simply describe the OC above you and then add that their owner probably likes this type of character.
    • Do not simply project the OC's personality unto their owner as well; if a character is described as being nice, shy and liking flowers, do not simply say "you're probably nice, shy, and like flowers". Try to make it a bit more interesting: do you think the user above you has a garden they tend, or are they rather the kind of person to be interested in botany?
    • Don't be afraid to take risks and to be specific; it's okay if your assumptions end up being wrong, as long as you explain your reasoning behind them.
    • Try to be fair, especially if the person above you took the time to write a long paragraph. Don't write one sentence or line only.
  • Please make sure the OC you post has a bio with enough substance for the next poster to have something to write about.
  • For everyone's comfort, please refrain from posting NSFW or otherwise possibly disturbing characters. If you really do want to use such OCs, please offer an alternative at the end of your post so the game doesn't get stuck.
  • You can claim a post if you want to be safe, but please edit it quickly after.
  • There’s no specific post limit, but avoid spamming the thread or claiming the same user over and over again.
  • Stay nice to other people; even if the character above you don't fit your tastes, doesn't make passive-aggressive assumptions.

Have fun! Let's start with Judas (:

i can tell that you have had this oc for a while!  you like delving into the little details and have put quite some work into this oc. you seem like a caring person who’s a little shy but energetic as well ? i think you’d be a kind, caring friend. by the nsfw i can tell that you are an adult (im just guessing, i know that some minors do it too but the way you approach it seems like you’re an adult). also since u gave her lots of kids im guessing u like children!! the overall vibe i got from her was a nice, cheery main character and—dont kill me if this is wrong, but, im guessing u like anime and romance! romance seems to play a big part

uhh by her music taste, im guessing u like Yellowcard? and are you a kpop fan? by the way you delved into her mental health i’m assuming you either have personal experience with it or have at least done lots of research for your oc! ^__^

all in all u seem like a Nice Friend who cares a lot about their ocs and may be a little shy at times but is energetic and fun!

It seems like you didn't get a whole lot of attention growing up from your parent(s), didn't get close to a lot of people, prefer animals over people, and then read as a form of escape.  You may also have his same hairstyle of long and curly.

Nicholas Arayes Caine

Just from the first glance it's easy to see this character is very dear to you; it's not really often when you see people cosplaying as their OCs! I wouldn't necessarily say you're struggling with your identity or anything, but I'd imagine you have probably  good idea of yourself and have done a lot self reflection, given how identity as a concept is really strongly present in Diego's bio. Again, I wouldn't necessarily claim you have strong personal ties with religion, but I feel like you perhaps have a lot of opinions on Christianity, and I wouldn't at least be surprised if you knew a things related to it through a relative or a family friend, if it's not something in the immediate family, I guess.

I also feel like you're very knowledgeable about musicians and music is an important part of your life, given how detailed the bands and singers are in his bio. Furthermore, added by the fact you have a strong idea of what his ideal voice actor would sound like, I'm super inclined to think sounds in general play a big role for you, and you might even learn better through listening

Just reviving this neat thread! :')

What I noticed first about Alienita is that she has a really low-key design for an alien: even for a "human" design she's pretty subdued in color and she doesn't wear anything elaborate! Her "NOT AN ALIEN" shirt and camouflage pants are funny details and really sell how hard she is, perhaps not the most convincingly (I like the "fellow kids" reference), trying to fit in to Earth society-- along with, of course, her very unassuming name.

From all that I think you are a clever and funny person who likes to write characters who are a little off-beat or subversive of expectations. I think you are probably fun-loving and maybe a little quirky yourself!

Alienita is your icon so I assume she's important to you or that you identify with her well: if you do, maybe nerves are something you deal with as well, but when you're feeling comfortable in your own skin, you're social and confident.

Edit: If you don't want to do her, you could use Haggis or anyone from this tag I guess?

(time to bring this back again, I wanted to give this a go!)

You've got a thing for villains with backstories that are more than just "eh, they're bad because they're a dick" and while you like some seriousness in how they're portrayed, you're also not afraid of them being a little silly. I feel like you're a big fan of slasher-esque movies (oh same) and maybe even the parody types, like the Scary Movie series? Either way I figure you like horror and supernatural in general.

You put a lot of thought into your characters and try to flesh out numerous aspects of them instead of focusing on just one thing or the other. And you're not afraid to have fun with them, either! Drama is good, comedy is good, memes are gold. There are bits about Smiley that are quirky that keep him from being super serious, which kinda ties into the above. All the "sexy" and meme art of him helps too, lmao.

Also you would definitely kiss and marry even your worst OCs if even given half the chance and god if that isn't the most relatable.

Hehe, pretty much spot on! I do live completely made-up worlds, but when it comes to writing, I've always had an easier time with stuff rooted in our world. Modern fantasy is something I love dearly, too.

I do try my best to put a little bit of personality into certain parts of bios, so I'm glad that carries through! And I think the more time goes on, the more I am really enjoying more mature characters over younger ones. I still have a good handful of older teens and 20-somethings but lately I've been trying to branch into more older characters.

Leonhard (Leon) Millan Caine

Reading Charlie's bio, I get the feeling you perhaps feel them most comfortable with character who're deeply rooted into our reality? The way you talk about him, his locations and all these details relevant to our world is very strong and makes me feel you probably know it well, which is why I get the feeling that's your preferred universe to work with, or at least a big favourite if not THE favourite!

Also really interestingly, even though your basic character information and the structure of his bio layout are pretty "neutral" and matter-of-fact in look and tone, the way you actually describe him is full of character and definitely not the kind of wikipedia approach I'm used to writing myself - and I think it's really nice! It's not just the content but also the tone of it that really bring out the character, and so I think you're probably a pretty experienced writer who knows what his style is and prefers to (consciously or not) put that in use in stuff like this!

Oh and maybe it's simply because you're already close to 30 yourself but I got the feeling you probably enjoy older and more mature characters, perhaps between the ages of 30-50 rather than kids and teens or even people in their very early 20s. But this is mostly just a random assumption rather than something I have any concrete evidence on, haha.

I tried to pick a character with a shorter bio than my usual ones to be less intimating haha

 Fitzgerald kafkaesque

I'm gonna start off with a relatively basic assumption and say that based on the level of detailing in the character's profile, you hold a lot of sentimental value to your characters and want to make them as realistic to their setting as possible. it seems that you plan to become a writer someday, or at least do something substantial with your characters (such as making a comic of them), based on said detail. you most likely have a penchant for more realistic lore projects (ex: ones that don't involve a lot of fantasy/supernatural elements), specifically those in historical eras?? for some reason, the style of clothing makes me think you're a fan of 18th-century or 19th-century settings, with the French Revolution coming into mind as an oddly specific era that you might have interest in lmao.

as for assumptions pertaining to more specific parts of Leon's profile, his generally extroversion and loyalty makes me think you're that type of person yourself, or at least look up to those types of people. on a related note, his talent for singing could reflect your own love for music?? for some reason classical music specifically comes into mind as well, with me thinking that you probably like the genre to at least some extent. hell, actually... now that I think about it, you might be a humanities-leaning person in general, as I noticed the humanities popping up as an interest of some of your characters (Leon included). that asides, the juxtaposition between Leon's uncertain home life and his relatively happy character low-key has that connotation in which you like characters with secrets up their sleeve?? you probably find that those secrets help add to their motivations, so that might be a trope you commonly enjoy in media/lore projects. :0c

(also ik it's been a year since the last post so this is probably my most extreme case of thread necromancy yet- if this violates site rules/etiquette in any way please let me know so I can delete my post!! ^^")

   - oh... worm... reading that was both interesting and sweet, so ty for that!! you've pretty much got it spot-on when it comes to my approach to character development sergfcrc- like... I literally can't say anything disproving your claims because they're pretty much dead-on... ty once more for the response, btw; I really enjoyed reading it!! <3

Endrit malaquill

I don't know if I can be quite as scholarly, but I'd like to keep the thread alive too! I want to swoop in with another OC, but Endrit is the most complete, so I'll use him.

His character overall makes me think you like exploring roles and hierarchies, in both a narrative and meta sense.  You're probably pretty invested in worldbuilding, which we see in his backstory and the trivia section, so the roles within the society you've built are of particular interest to you, but I also feel like you might like getting into a greater meaning behind that; themes like how power affects people, displacement from what was meant to be someone's role and how it affects them,  From this, I can probably guess that you like psychological themes, since it's also pretty clear that his backstory affects him greatly. The combination of these tells me that you put a lot of effort into making cohesive, thorough characters; it seems like every aspect of his life accounts for his behavior.

I get the feeling he's a character type you particularly like-- not necessarily his outward persona, but the anger and trauma underneath it. I've only read a few of your bios (is that cheating?); they certainly aren't all the same, but I feel like they share themes like that, which once again goes back to my 'you like psychological themes' theory. I think that you probably draw from a personal experience, or have done an impressive amount of research, or maybe both? You've also got an eye for detail, something apparent even in his likes and dislikes; they make sense, which also goes back to just how cohesive he is-- his dislike of light pollution makes perfect sense given his overall aesthetic, but it's also not something I would have thought of were it not listed.

Overall, I think you spend a lot of time making sure things make sense even in a surreal setting, which is fantastic? Everything just fits together perfectly.

Gwen Steffani muichiro

cracks my knuckles! alright! first and foremost, i get the impression that you're very high fantasy! you enjoy fantasy > reality and that is something you hold really dearly onto. by fantasy, i roughly mean magical things, species that aren't human, worlds that are far more blossomed and beautiful than ours. you appreciate a wider selection in life, rather than standardized, average and everyday scenarios.

i think because endrit is more fleshed out and he was who you posted, you have a good connection with him. i think you have high empathy. it's probably why you're able to understand what it might be like to not have something so deep, and why it's a tragic loss to not have it. you care a lot about others and are able to form intense bonds that split the normalcy of the usual protocol. you're able to make friends quickly too. i see this mostly because he is the opposite and yet has underlying patterns of it showing in him; the potential. not to say you're projecting on him at all, no; but he's a very well rounded character, and those types of characters usually come from the people who have impeccable understanding of empathy.

you both also seem easily hurt to me. don't be mistaken, it's not a bad thing; it just means you both have heavy hearts. with his questioning of existence, i think you may do similar, or at least you think often about the higher plane to it all. someone sees an apple, you two see a dessert, or in endrit's case; a small fragment of life that is somewhat upsetting, if that makes any sense. you both strike me as thinkers, always conjuring up thoughts and considering this or that. both easily depressed too, because thinking can and will do that sometimes.

if i were to give you both a tarot card, i would say the star. you're upright, he's reversed. throughout your lives, you both may flip between them; since that is just the way it be sometimes!

Ryn Aarix

helloooo

firstly: gay His name immediately makes me laugh-- I think u might be the sort who's guilty (or not-so-guilty) pleasure is pop divas like his namesake (bro me too). Because he's a modernday human character and not some magical high-fantasy boy, makes me think your the sort who prefers to reflect on reality, But he's not too gritty, like, he's got a silly name and he's a streamer in his spare time. Gwen's profile gives me a really warm and lighthearted feeling. Like, there's nothing terribly dismal on display here. I think u could be an optimist, or you try to be one. Gwen seems like a good wholesome boy, which is a pretty nice thing to aspire to. He is a superhero (i'm not sure in what capacity) with the power to help those in need. I think u place value on good humour, positivity, and uplifting others wherever you can. You strike me as a sweet person with a lot of compassion, and you put a lot of energy into being a more positive person, especially for the sake of those around you. Perhaps some shyness, ur own troubles, + the fact u are only human can get in the way of enacting these things sometimes, and I think this might sadden u.... But I definitely think if u also had superpowers you would use them for good! ;v

His profile is unfinished which gives me the impression that u are excited to dive right in and share your creations with the world rather than delay and mess around for a million years with every little detail. You might get a lot of motivation from the validation of people connecting with your works. I think u cherish every fave and comment you get... maybe youre the sort of person who keeps that little heart notification around for a while in your inbox bc you're happy when people also enjoy the things u have put love into :v

Also, he has some really pretty art! Everything there looks pretty well-considered; I think you are the sort of person who prefers quality over quantity. Those comments tell me u appreciate the things you have, are thankful for what others do for you, and you make an effort to show it.

I also think that you might enjoy gaming yourself! Maybe you've even considered streaming them before, just for fun rather than fame? Looks like a good time :v

spot on re: my taste for realism & keeping things as accessible as I can. Love me some worldbuilding..... and some badboy sadboys :^) i defs am a bit of a shut-in haha i think that goes w/o saying ffft, though I wouldn't class myself as an introvert either...? the punkest thing I ever actually do is play bass in a ska band so that's up 2 ur judgment 😂

SARANGEREL DALAMIQ NYAHILISM

off the bat ryn's profile is pretty cleanly coded, and all of the information you need on him is nice and upfront. it gives off the impression that you prefer things concise and simple as opposed to flashy albeit convoluted, opting to make yourself understood before impressing others. his story is pretty down to earth save the magic, so i'm guessing these are the kinds of stories you enjoy? like, mid-fantasy, urban fantasy type, with realistic settings sometimes drifting into the gritty. the drawbacks of his powers also make me think that you enjoy sussing out how magic systems in other settings work and potential drawbacks and long-term effects that this could cause instead of just leaning back and going "does it matter? it's not real-" you might find searching for ways to circumvent the problems you've invented more fun than expanding upon the lore you're given. you probably read hurt/comfort fanfiction about smirking fictional bad boys with deep-seated emotional issues that they cover up at some point in time. you're also probably punk (or at the very least, anti-establishment) IRL, seeing as how ryn's views are pretty well expanded upon with well reason for him to adopt them.

you clearly care a lot for him as a character, so you might be a little introverted? in the "night-in over night-out" way, finding comfort in writing alone as opposed to more group-oriented activities. however, his personality gives me the feeling that you're not entirely a loner- you've probably shared his profile with a lot of people, just because you like sharing your ideas.
