What does the OC above say about their owner?

This thread has rules regarding the effort you have to put in your replies. Please read them carefully before claiming and posting. Violation of these rules could lead to a warning or a ban from my forum games.

Basically a 'lite' version of What do the above user's OCs say about them?. I thought it could be fun! This time, you post IC and you have to tell what the specific OC above (posted IC as well) says about their owner, be it their tastes, personality, way of writing, etc.

  • Please put effort into your claim, and do your best to make it interesting to read!
    • Read the profile of the character you’re claiming! Don’t base your claim on design only; make sure you know what the character is about before writing.
    • Don't state the obvious only, such as "you like this character a lot", "you like anthro characters", or "you like pastel aesthetics". It's fine to use these as a starter, but your final response has to be more thought-out than vague, surface-level assumptions. In other words, do not simply describe the OC above you and then add that their owner probably likes this type of character.
    • Do not simply project the OC's personality unto their owner as well; if a character is described as being nice, shy and liking flowers, do not simply say "you're probably nice, shy, and like flowers". Try to make it a bit more interesting: do you think the user above you has a garden they tend, or are they rather the kind of person to be interested in botany?
    • Don't be afraid to take risks and to be specific; it's okay if your assumptions end up being wrong, as long as you explain your reasoning behind them.
    • Try to be fair, especially if the person above you took the time to write a long paragraph. Don't write one sentence or line only.
  • Please make sure the OC you post has a bio with enough substance for the next poster to have something to write about.
  • For everyone's comfort, please refrain from posting NSFW or otherwise possibly disturbing characters. If you really do want to use such OCs, please offer an alternative at the end of your post so the game doesn't get stuck.
  • You can claim a post if you want to be safe, but please edit it quickly after.
  • There’s no specific post limit, but avoid spamming the thread or claiming the same user over and over again.
  • Stay nice to other people; even if the character above you don't fit your tastes, doesn't make passive-aggressive assumptions.

Have fun! Let's start with Judas (:

Henri Lowell Caine

nun Right off the bat I can see she's your sona, so the character probably means you a lot! The large gallery also gives me the feeling she's probably very loved by you! Even though she's tagged as a sona I get the feeling from the background in particular that she's probably more of a "a character I strongly relate to" than "literally me" in the sense she functions more as a character of her own than "just" as a self insert (which is also very valid, hence why I'm using the ""). With her also being a ffxiv character and Au Ra, I assume you play the game and enjoy its worldbuilding and bestiary a lot.

From her bio itself, I have a feeling you probably also enjoy discovering new things and take interest in things that are considered unknown or mysterious in some way, whether it's folklore, mythology or maybe even urban legends, although probably to a lesser degree. I wouldn't go as far as to claim you yourself have had any conflicting feelings about your own body, but I get the feeling the concept of one's physical form and how it can be shaped or how the characters feel about them is probably a theme you enjoy to explore in fiction. Likewise I get the feeling you probably consider physical form altering curses etc more fascinating than actually punishing, to the point you might enjoy the device in fiction used to make the character feel empowered by the change. At least I know I enjoy that a lot, and Sarangerel taking a degree of pride in her transformation felt very satisfying to read.

From the extensive playlist on her profile, I get the feeling you probably have a pretty wide taste in music and probably associate songs strongly with your characters? Like in the way that if you hear a song and you assocate with one of your OCs that song will now forever be their song. Similarly from the same "other" section the amount of headcanons accepted for the character imply you probably play a lot of forum games and you're genuinely interested in what others have to say about your character, and you're very open to different interpretations, even if not all of them make it to her actual canon.

I hope you don't mind me answering all the assumptions! It was super interesting to read and you honestly got a lot of parts right!

+You're  most likely are very detailed person who is past your physical age in intelligence. You like to be thorough about things and I bet you really like pretty colors

I can't comment on the intelligence thing haha but I do like pretty colors! I generally like colorful stuff a lot!

+You're probably an Infp or Isfp but with less the stereotypes of being emotional

I'm an ENFJ actually!

+maybe you're a perfectionist and you probably were a straight A student back in school

I was a straight A student for sure, I actually graduated from lukio with the highest grades of my year group. I also used to be a perfectionit but I'm now getting better since I eventually learned being a perfectionist isn't actually a desirable personality trait on a long shot.

+You may not be straight but I do think you like both guys and girls

I'm bi but I don't really feel attraction towards women! I'm super male leaning but masc nb people aren't out of my radar either

+you like lore and you're probably an open minded person

I definitely try to be! And I love reading and come up with lore for sure!

+you had years of practice as an artist (I could learn from you )

I have been posting art online since 2009! Unfortunately though I don't think I have practiced as much as I have just mindlessly kept on producing stuff; I'm really lazy and especially with no formal art school teaching I never got in the good habit of doing proper practicing haha

+you take care of your appearance a lot

I probably do by Guy Standards but if you compare me to any of my female friends irl I've got nothing on them

+You might like fantasy

I like it as a broad subject! But I really don't like super high fantasy and medieval inspired settings are a no go to me

+Maybe you went to college or are in college (or university)

I'm in university! We don't have college in Finland though haha. After middle school I went to lukio instead

+You might have OCD

Haven't been diagnosed with one, but I do have a myriad of other diagnoses

+You're probably skinny or average

Yeah I'm on the skinnier side

+ Your hair isn't short but it may not be that long either

Yeah!! I usually cut it shorter once it reaches my shoulders but it's comfortably between short and long. I use hair wax to style it so that it looks a little shorter and poofier though

+You like pretty girls and boys

Pretty people are always a pleasure to the eye, regardless of gender!

+You've watched animes with bishonen guys in them and you liked them, maybe you've played games with them in it before though I don't see you as the gaming type

Yeah to both; I have consumed a lot of anime in my life + I used to be into otoges until I got bored of the constant same character tropes being uses for the guys. I actually do play video games quite a lot though!

+You live with a pet, probably a cat or a small dog

Unfortunately no :--( I'd really like to have a cat though and ferrets one day but I'm not in the financial situation to do so

+You correct others grammer

Not really! I'm not a native English speaker in the first place so I don't feel like it's my place to policy others! And with both my mum and my brother having a dyslexia I have learned it's kinda insensitive to comment on that unless specifically asked!

+You like flowers

I do!!

+You've watched Ouran Highschool Host Club before

I did! Boy that anime did not age super well but it had a good heart

+You equally distribute attention among all your original characters and you don't have a favorite

Kinda yeah! I do tend to draw a lot of my Sinfonia main boys but I try to give attention to all my characters more or less.

+you like glitter

I'm pretty neutral towards it! It looks neat but I don't really.. use it

+You like romance colors (RED, PINK, WHITE, GOLD)

Warm colours are GREAT colours!!!

+You go to bed late and wake up early

I go to bed early AND wake up early, living that migraine + medication life

+You like specific kinds of music, you probably don't like pop, but maybe like a type of music that most people don't think you would

I'm actually super versatile when it comes to music! My poor spotfy is having a hard time trying to figure out my taste when in a single day I can go from classical and boy sopranos to power metal and bubblegum pop.

+You look deep into things, like really deep

I'm a literature major so it's kinda my job hehe

+You make friends easily and are charismatic

I sure hope so!

+If you do play games, their probably like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley, maybe something action thrown in their a bit

I actually find those kind of games super stressful! I much prefer games with more or less linear goal, like Digimon Cyber Sleuth or Little Nightmares. I used to be super into RPGmaker horror games during their peak and I also really like games like Ni no kuni 2, Rayman, The Path and I also like visual novels quite a lot!

+You might be into Alt things

Not intentionally at least! I honestly don't even know much about what is and isn't alt!

+You might've been a quiet kid in school

I was actually kind of the opposite of it! I wasn't interrupting the class or anything but I have always been pretty chatty even as a kid, in particular with adults.

+You put a lot of time and effort into your art

I wish I did but the truth is my concentration is horrible and at some point I always end up rushing

+You might get inspired by character prompts

Yeah they're great! Even if I don't seek them out much, I just do them if they come my way

+ Whenever you go on vacation, you like to buy souvenirs

I usually end up buying a bunch of manga tbh or books....... But I also really love all the little museum etc knick knacks but I try to budged so that I only buy what I find useful and important

+You like the aesthetic

I have my own very specific types of aesthetics but I definitely do like them!

+you give me P!ATD vibes, maybe you like Brendon Urie's music

P!ATD is a solid classic!!! I don't know the second person though, although the name does sound familiar

+You make inside jokes

lmao yeah

+ You are not and never will be a clumsy person

I used to be HORRIBLY clumsy as a child actually! I have a lot of scars as a result of being careless lol

Max-with-no-Coffee

Alexander Hadraniel NightAbyss

CasualRoses I'm so sorry I didn't see that we posted at the same time. Here's what I think your OC says about you:

Since I don't see any pictures in the gallery, I'm thinking that you're either more of a writer than an artist. You're the type of writer that writes more slice-of-life focused on relationships between family and friends, and every day problems with some realistic drama than the majority of writers I've seen on TH who're more focused on fantasy. You're the type to give lots of personality and little quirks to your characters to make them feel more life-like and sometimes even more human than people in real life.

With Jame's older age, I'd say that you're older in age than the average age range of users here, based on my observation that people like making characters around the same age range as them. Either that or you like more mature characters that face everyday problems outside of student life like work and family. Him moving to another country to build something himself that would help others makes me think you'd like to do something similar. Maybe you'd like to move away to another country or just another city to give yourself a change of scenery and more opportunities as you work towards your dreams.

Caine The very first thing that caught my eye was the color palette. You clearly love bishounen characters and pastel colors (particularly pink). You like having androgynous characters and like to break gender norms with your character. You like giving male characters feminine characteristics and mannerisms and having them own that part of themselves.

Him being an elegant and aristocratic werewolf makes me think that you like to defy character stereotypes or like combining clashing ideas together. Whenever I think of werewolves, I think of characters who are wild and masculine. Him having a calm demeanor and logical gives a huge contrast between his full moon werewolf form. I'm guessing you have the same taste as me, as in, liking characters that look adorable and harmless but in reality can wRECK SHOP and/or murderous as hell.

I can tell by the first skim through I did on his profile that you've put a lot of thought and effort into him. You clearly love him, his story and the other characters in it. You're very detail oriented as evidenced by the detailed personality and backstory, the well thought out skills and the tons of fun trivia about him you put on his profile. I can also see that you're a passionate and talented artist as well with his detailed design and illustrations you've included in his gallery.

rane muichiro

okay! NightAbyss does it even ping when i edit? i'm not sure.

but! let's start off with saying the profile icon for this character is beautiful. the eyes are beautiful and i love the fire. fire is such a good element i say also posting from a fire boy. but really! it's wonderful!

going into this, i'm going to go ahead and assume that you're probably interested in history. not just any history, but specifically mythological history. the kind that has gods and devils and really folklore type of stuff that can leave you assuming all kinds of stuff. at the same time, i think you prefer the modern spin on them, and putting them into our world. it's probably more entertaining for you to explore because there's so much more you can do with it than putting them back in the olden ages where they had no working, running water.

alexander makes me think that you like..music that's more melodic than lyrical? if that makes sense? things that have chorus that repeat with far more instrumentals than constantly changing words. it just seems like you're a bit of a dreamer with all the hard work his profile has. it's all put together very well and plot oriented and dreamers tend to listen to music like that!! very thought provoking stuff that gives good inspiration.

i think you have an interest in mental health stuff, as i see alexander does have borderline personality disorder. which is good! there's always a need for more characters like that! it doesn't seem completely misplaced, so it seems like you take good care to include it in a way that's positive rather than applying it simply because you can. maybe you were inspired to add it?

you're very critical with thinking, but your critical thinking tends to go to stories, i want to say. it helps you build worlds that you otherwise might get stuck on, which i don't think you do. i think you're likely probably fair with organizing and putting what you want to do in momentum without second guessing yourself. not entirely too confident, there's always room for improvement, but confident enough that you can take control of your own situations.

Caine

NightAbyss It seems you skipped @CasualRoses ;o; /

But also you were almost spot on with your assumptions!!

NightAbyss

Caine Ah I must've wrote it at the same time as them, sorry! I'll be editing my post later to also write my thoughts on them too!

Edit: I've edited my previous post! Next person please give your thoughts on what @ genjis' OC says about them!

 Brown kafkaesque

the first thing that stands out to me about Rane is that you're a fan of subversion. normally fire is associated with villains due to its destructive power, but the fact that Rane is a superhero makes me think that you like including twists in your characters, or at least experimenting with tropes that you don't normally use/enjoy. you always look for that surprise factor when developing your characters, and as a result, your favorite tropes tend to be related to "this character isn't what they seem at first glance." it adds a layer of depth to your characters while also allowing you to go absolutely wild with experimentation - considering how broad such tropes tend to be. in a way, I can see you enjoying the mystery genre, as it includes the red herrings and unexpected scenarios that would pop up in your characters.

furthermore, it seems that you have a knack for detail - specifically one that leans towards realism. you want to make your characters seem like they could pop out anytime and function like real people, and so you go beyond the bare bones (personality, backstory, etc.) and also include traits that - like your interest in twists - add nuance to the character. the fact that none of Rane's stats are "excellent" (5 stars) adds to his human element and sort of makes me think you like flawed, deeply human characters. but I digress. it also demonstrates your liking for balance; you don't want to get too exaggerated with how you depict your characters, as you believe it might damage the realism component of your lore, so you opt to make your characters more moderated instead. maybe I can see you enjoying slice-of-life settings due to the realism, but the fact that Rane is a superhero also conjures up the idea that you enjoy both realism and fantasy - especially when the two are juxtaposed together, since you see the combination as an interesting way to experiment with tropes.

   - ahhhhhh, no need to apologize! it's kind of no secret at this point that I enjoy reading your responses, and this is no exception cgsdycjsd-

that asides.... reading that was really sweet holy shit?? I was in a bit of a sour mood before then, but that made me feel a bit better haha. as for accuracy, I think you got a lot of it correct! admittedly her profile doesn't exactly fit how I depict her in forum games, but you still managed to garner a deeper understanding of how I deal with characters like her (as well as how they end up influencing the overall narrative), and I really appreciate that!! ^^

Jine muwi

claim im almost pretty sure i wrote my assumptions of u like a long time ago in another thread but now i will do so again through the lense of a sad angry salty bandana-scarf wearing ass evil baby

First off when I tried to click on his profile my Chome opened up a new tab for Norton Security and told me I should take action to protect myself from phishing and ah, how poetic it's almost like my computer knew I was stepping onto moe emo territory.

This is the case for all your characters and not just Arsene but it's like, very very clear that you really like Sci-Fi, since you touch on stuff that I think only people who either enjoy Sci-Fi/SF-Fantasy or... the subjects that Sci-Fi touches on would-- but since there's less of a focus on the physical side "haha time machine go brr" and more on the metaphysical side "haha space powers go Yeetus And/Or Deletus", I leaned more on the former. On the same note you're well-read, you think shoujo manga should only be consumed as a guilty pleasure at most, and you prefer complex stories that you can dissect. Even better if the characters are equally complex, though you might tire of explaining it fully and prefer to sum it up so that its easier to understand in an almost memey way. You've read or dabbled in old texts or classics, and your characters either talk very Prosey or very unique.

That being said trauma is the spice of life, and a character isn't a character until they angst or suffer from a pervading sense of Ouchies mentally or physically or even better both. You believe that if a character gets to be happy, it should be an angst:happy ratio of like, 80/20. At the same time you like your characters to have a solid beginning, middle, end, and you're not the type of writer that has a character written to be suspended in a point in time, if you know what I mean?

In terms of Arsene as a character, you like the theme of characters being too deep in one end of a personality spectrum and exploring the consequences of that happening. You like psychology, and aren't afraid of exploring very dark themes like abandonment, paranoia, dangerous obsession and self-destructive behaviour, and perhaps a normal character would feel too "boring" or "plain" for you. You like exploring how these disorders(?) can influence a person to do really out-there things, which is enabled even more by their OP powers. You like writing child or childish characters because the gap moe of cute, baby, uwu and "If I were human I would need a therapist" is good shit and/or amusing. You are not too interested in exploring the themes of sexuality or romance (unless it came with angst).

You might be Slytherin house, or at least model one, and you might prefer to stick to a small but solid group of people and can be protective of them. You are probably non-combative if put in bad situations. I know some people, when they write characters, they project a bit of themselves into the base of that character and then work off it. I feel like you might be less into that and more of "I take this and this and this from these things that I like and I will shove it into this vat and make something out of the resulting clay".

You like reptiles. Maybe bugs too (Arsene's bandana scarf reminds me of a moth). You either hate or are okay with Dragon-type Pokemon but you don't hate them.

DESPITE how you like your characters angsty, you yourself are not the angst type. However you do share Arsene's hobby of spreading Cam's good name because Cam is love, Cam is life.

In short you're a sadist but you still love ur angry angst baby.

EDIT: oH NO my image of the megane logical writer instead of self-inserter has been crushed,,, and tbh pottermore seems more right it fits ur memey side.

Judging entirely from the character layout itself (and the folder she's in) that Jine is a really important character to you! There is a lot of effort gone into just setting up her profile with all the little details and several images and links! The way the information is structured also gives me the impression it's probably really important to you to feel like things are organized and coherent at least with the things you really like and care about!
Jine is very special and I would never use that code for anyone, she's pretty much like 35% me HAHAH only does it not fit their personality but it is .. so much .. work... never again... Structure is relatively important because I don't like messy profiles but I also want it to stand out and not be just plain. ONLY MY SONS AND DAUGHTERS GET THE GOOD TREATMENT. But yeah she's in the personal folder because I project onto those characters the most, they exist for purely personality reasons and not for the story reasons. They were all created by taking one trait of mine and amplifying it to the max (eg. Iwum is my shitty pissy side, Swep is based off my childhood dream of being a dancer, so on)

I want to assume you're probably a native English speaker!
Yes, I can speak a few other languages but i'm bad at all of them so you can't even consider me bilingual.

I could also imagine you either having consumed a lot of prose (if not now then possibly in the past) or being a writer or even potentially both!
I like prosey writing... when it's done right. I've read a lot of stuff with really bad prose and I'm not a fan of that. Personally idk if I could describe myself as a prosey writer? I feel like I tried in my older texts but with Jine and Kain in particular I tried to keep it very loose and casual, like literally falling onto the page from my brain raw. I LOVE LOVE LOVE really 'poignant' writing though?? Especially in the romance department. Like, not too cringey, maybe just toeing the line, but very meaningful and thematic to their romance.

...makes me feel like you're probably a very frank person, although likely not the one to demonstrate it to total strangers or mere acquaintances, but you probably communicate things to the people close to you very clearly.
Yessss, this is the result of my growth!! I used to be really ... not frank, but now I don't have the energy to tolerate any bullshit so I just say things as it is, and accept things as it is. don't have time to be sorting out complexities when I can be doing stuff I actually like. I do use my Asian "say this but subtly suggest this" skills with strangers though and am def more frank with friends.

I can't actually tell 100% for sure if the fake tweet on her profile about sucking the dentist's finger is meant to be her stealing the actual viral post or if it's meant to be her for real in her canon (I could honestly see both, although the former would honestly feel oddly fitting) but it makes me feel like you probably are more or less ~ meme savvy ~ in the way you probably use social media sites enough to know the general climate of these certain "areas" like the ones Jine uses
HAHAHA IT'S CUS I'M TOO DUMB TO MAKE UP ANYTHING FOR HER so I just took it and real for her in her canon. Jine is probably funnier than me if she were real. I think I am meme savvy?? Probably cus I spend so much time on the internet, usually I see memes new and fresh on the viral bandwagon on Twitter or TikTok (yes I watch TikTok).

...her character revolves around gossip and drama I imagine you're likely not a stranger to that stuff, although I get a feeling you're not the one to, like, search for it. It's more like you probably just run into it a lot which tbh isn't that uncommon lol.
I think I experience as much drama as a normal person, as a bystander ofc, I don't really get involved in much myself. I actually do actively search for gossip in my social circle lol, but sometimes people just tell me. My life is hella boring I need some form of entertainment.

But the way you portray her as a person feels so realistic and I have a feeling you know or have known people like her, although possibly not as the closest of friends.
She is me (a lil) mixed with a lot of tropes and character inspirations (I think Pepper Potts was one of hers). I don't think I know people who are like her, but I did have a 'friend' who I just couldn't establish trust so our friendship was really strained. I think she's the closest person I know to Jine, but Jine is actually likeable.

...you find it interesting to explore characters who aren't considered particularly "honorable" and who dabble and even excel in things people tend to condemn but actually find interest in.
HELL YEAH. They're more interesting to explore than just normal good people. Ofc I have some of those too but they also have their own problems I try to explore. I like people with problems, makes me want to mother them, but I'm a writer and they're my kids so I get to exploit their angst and suffering. Is this a coping mechanism? Who knows. I'm def not one to shy away from really dark subjects if I feel like writing them. I think I'm someone who advocates creative freedom when it comes to things like this. I have a friend who is really self-concious about what she writes in terms of character concepts, but I've never really had an issue with that. The darker, the more evil, the better. Like, Silbe (my finest son) is... a literal piece of trash. He is garbage. And some of his siblings are irredeemable, horrible people. I love them.

I really enjoy the fact her design has this kind of distinct otoge/josei protagonist feel to her but she's really nothing in personality like people tend to expect from characters with that kind of look. I wouldn't say it's telling you like or consume that content, but I have a feeling you're probably aware of these certain design conventions and ideas that you proceed to subvert in her personality.
I actually suck at designing HAHA, the most I'll have of a character's concept is perhaps what clothes they wear and colour scheme. You'll see that most of my character's art is originally from someone else. I compensate by knowing at least what to look for, and adapting my character's personality to what they look like. I actually didn't have a design for Jine at all, but I commissioned a custom from someone and worked off that. It helped that Jine was more on the normal side and not a very fantasy-esque character so any design would have worked. But I did require her to look very "cute", very "uwu" and just someone you would underestimate because she was so adorable. Also, I didn't actually notice she had a otoge protagonist feel to her but you're right she does. I love otoges LOL so I'm glad she does. I'd kill for an otoge protag like Jine.
 Ambrose Deering Caine

SORRY THIS GOT LONG and I apologize if these are totally off!

Going into the character bio itself, the way you write is so smooth and clear I want to assume you're probably a native English speaker! I could also imagine you either having consumed a lot of prose (if not now then possibly in the past) or being a writer or even potentially both! The way Jine's personality is described is super interesting in its tone, and it makes me feel like you're probably a very frank person, although likely not the one to demonstrate it to total strangers or mere acquaintances, but you probably communicate things to the people close to you very clearly.

I can't actually tell 100% for sure if the fake tweet on her profile about sucking the dentist's finger is meant to be her stealing the actual viral post or if it's meant to be her for real in her canon (I could honestly see both, although the former would honestly feel oddly fitting) but it makes me feel like you probably are more or less ~ meme savvy ~ in the way you probably use social media sites enough to know the general climate of these certain "areas" like the ones Jine uses. This sounds like a no brainer lmao but I often see people just picking random stuff if they do it just for the character and there is a sense of inconsistency in them, but it all feels so real with her profile that I'm just... gonna assume you're personally familiar with this side of social media.

With the fact she's in a "personal" folder and her character revolves around gossip and drama I imagine you're likely not a stranger to that stuff, although I get a feeling you're not the one to, like, search for it. It's more like you probably just run into it a lot which tbh isn't that uncommon lol. But the way you portray her as a person feels so realistic and I have a feeling you know or have known people like her, although possibly not as the closest of friends. I could imagine based on her profile that you find it interesting to explore characters who aren't considered particularly "honorable" and who dabble and even excel in things people tend to condemn but actually find interest in.

For the design I can see you enjoying the clashing aspects of cute/harmless looks vs an "unpleasant" personality.

Thank you for replying I honestly feared I'd kill the thread again like I almost did last year LAUGHS

Anyway I think you got most of the stuff right!! I'm a writer and honestly just love to ramble because I write my bios for me (especially since I struggle with my memory so I want the future me to know all the stuff I had thought up) but since I play a lot of forum games I try to give brief summaries for everyone's convenience! Also I come from a working class background so I do enjoy writing characters struggling with their social position and wanting to climb up even at the expnse of their honor or whatever since it's what I have seen a lot around me! And I find it fascinating as a character study too!

I don't really divide my ocs to mains/other in a super clear cut way so to me Ambrose is just as important as the ones I post here! If anything the true side characters usually don't get posted here haha. He's just a pretty new character so I haven't had the time to really draw or commission more art of him! Also the main tags are just what I think other people are the most interested in (since Sinfonia is a VN Im working on and in turn CS and RP have a social aspect to them relevant to TH users).

AND YEAH I'm very gnc myself so I like to be self indulgent and give myself the rep I would want to see haha

Mortimer salida

Sorry if any of this stuff is really inaccurate ;__; (also im hoping to revive this thread lol....)

Reading the profile for Ambrose, I get the impression that you either really enjoy or really resonate with stories about people working their way up to the top. I also really like the idea that he is friendly but also doesn't shy away from doing what he needs to do in order to gain a higher standing in society or success. From this I get the feeling that you enjoy writing characters with some kind of inner conflict or gray morality (I'm not quite sure if gray morality is the right term. it feels kind of heavy to me in this case?) in the way that he acts a certain way to get better opportunities even if its not the best or most "honorable" thing to do.

Your profiles are fairly long and have a lot of things to say, and this tells me you really enjoy being detailed and specific in your writing, and that you are perhaps a writer or do a lot of reading in your spare time? And your inclusions of brief summaries give me the impression that, although you have a great eye for detail and enjoy having a lot of information and facts about your characters, you also like to have some of your information be concise and easy to read in case someone is interested but is not able or willing to read all of your sections.

Ambrose doesn't seem to be in one of the important tags you have listed in your main folder (and has only a few pieces of art in his gallery), so I assume he is a bit of a side character, or at least not as important as others you might have. Even though you don't have much art of him and he seems like a secondary character to me, his bio is quite long and has a great amount of information. This as well is what gives me the impression that you enjoy writing, as a lot of people would probably have very brief bios for characters that aren't their "main" ocs.

And from a design standpoint, I get the feeling you have a great love for elegant clothing and opulence, and that you enjoy creating gender-nonconforming characters or just in general characters who aren't afraid of being "different."

omg i did not expect to get THIS read LOL

you might have a tendency to project a lot?

definitely LOL... i have to stop myself from projecting TOO much sometimes...

you're someone who likely draws a lot from personal experience, rather than purely external research?

absolutely. i do occasionally do research on things im not familiar with, but most of what i try to write in my characters is familiar to me in some form or another. i find it really easy to include personal experience in my writing, and it ties a bit into the projecting thing

you're probably the type of person who spends hours trying to choose between two images for the aesthetic boards, or how much a song fits a playlist

this is true as well! when picking pics for the aesthetic board i tried my best to pick images that would fit well together, and also place them in the places theyd be most aesthetically pleasing (at least to me). In the same way i'm also really fastidious about character playlists. I don't care much for the genre or sound of the song, but the lyrics have to fit very well. I wouldnt go so far as to call myself a *perfectionist* per se, but i tend to be picky when it comes to things i really care about.

you've also got a good sense of detail... At the same time, I think maybe the details come later, as a lot of his writing is very straight-to-the-point!

I'm a huge believer of "less is more" and i heavily prefer having and drawing simple designs. I think you can say a LOT thru tiny little details in a character, and without having to basically spell it out. I think a lot about the details in a character and how to include them in their character design, as character design is a great passion of mine :D I also hate spending forever reading a super long and super detailed profile (and writing one too) so i like keeping descriptions brief but descriptive enough (and also because i dont like to share too much).

I think stories about found families appeal to you... I also think you value a degree of straightforwardness in your characters.

The comment about found families is VERY true. I really like stories where people come together as friends no matter how different they are. My favorite example is definitely avatar the last airbender, and i unintentionally took a lot of inspiration from it. (As for the thing about straightforwardness in my characters, i'm not quite sure what you mean?)
Petrel malaquill

LAUGHS I COULDN"T FIGURE OUT HOW TO TAKE MY TEXT OUT OF THE SPOILER SORRY- I hope this okay, it felt a bit generalized when I was writing it? Also, nice voiceclaim... we support SoV in this house.

I think Mortimer has a degree of normalcy to him that tells me that you might have a tendency to project a lot? Not necessarily just onto him, and maybe not as a whole; it could be something like his like for thrift store t-shirts meaning that you like them too (that's my biggest theory right now, at least. I like those @_@). At the very least, you're someone who likely draws a lot from personal experience, rather than purely external research? You probably share some personality traits, though they're rooted in a different cause than the character's. I think everyone projects to a degree, but some people might project more heavily than others, and I lean toward that here.

I love his aesthetic board, btw! I think you're probably the type of person who spends hours trying to choose between two images for the aesthetic boards, or how much a song fits a playlist (also hey, nice playlist!). Because of this and the details in his writing, I'm going to say you've also got a good sense of detail-- things like him showing his good hygiene through your drawing fingernails is a very specific and interesting example! At the same time, I think maybe the details come later, as a lot of his writing is very straight-to-the-point!

Finally, I think stories about found families appeal to you, especially if the characters have little in common. I also think you value a degree of straightforwardness in your characters. EDIT: like as a personality trait or an overall plot! I’m not.. entirely sure what this means now that I’ve reread it omg-

 you're pretty spot-on!

Paschal 12halos

please. get my ass if im wrong but

-you live for hurt/comfort

-angst is great but talking about soft and nice things about characters that have been through the wringer heals you

-fan of grey areas: i get that kind of energy from petrels unshakable (and blind) resolve. like you know he's a good person, but also he's done less than good things and being able to explore that kind of character is interesting to you (which is kind of ironic given petrel is a very black and white person)

-you like to explore moral dilemmas and how different characters would deal with them (or not deal)

-religious aesthetics all the way

-stories with a sad beginning but an optimistic ending appeal to you

-with the art of him (the one thats being used as his icon) you like the aesthetic of reneissance style art

i really hope this made sense!! also paschal and petrel kind of sound alike

edit: i read over his story again and maybe you're someone that hopes to be able to look to a more optimistic future yourself?? also i just want petrel to be happy 🥺

are you. psychic. also that's literally almost my age
