Assorted Abominations Oneshots

kyle got his scars when a rival gang got ahold of him about being in their territory and/or stealing their drugs and cut him repeatedly to try and get him to talk; they start with his arm, move up and do the one near his neck to be more threatening, then say something along the lines of “oooh it sure would be a shame to marr that handsome face of yours” and that’s why he has them on his face too. carmelo comes to his aid and now he owes carmelo his life, at least to kyle he does

thy boys share a 2003 toyota supra that Max inherited from an uncle or something, idk, Kyle is the only one that really understands what a dope car it is the other two are like ok

skye is unnecessarily and insanely good at candy crush and still plays it regularly

skye dated people all over the gender spectrum in high school but now he’s mostly given up dating (until he crushes on Abbie). he has never and won’t ever put a label on his sexuality; if he’s attracted to the person and they get along he has no qualms about their gender.

brett has pet rats. questionable whether or not he does experiments on them

“you killed her!” he screamed, his forked tongue flicking as his eyes narrowed to slits

“look at yourself. she would have thought you were an abomination anyways”

necklaces contain tracking devices, which the characters don’t know, and administer electric shocks when taken off, which also alert Carmelo(?)

so max is arrested right and they get him out on bail but they have to have one of his sisters do it because the other two are wanted and or have warrants out. his sister has to fly down from Oregon where max is from (he moved to Nevada for college and that’s how he met Skye and them). 

anyways when he was in jail he actually made a lot of friends including Paisley who was a hulk of a man and idk i just want to call a big buff guy Paisley

max becomes a bartender assistant at some point in the story idk i feel like itll be cool. let my boy do mixology

the three of them get a dog at some point and ironically it doesnt like max and becomes really attached to skye

skye considers max his best friend, and max likes skye and puts up with his antics more than kyle does, although they do bicker a lot as well. kyle would never admit it but hes jealous of max for taking the role of skyes best friend because he had that title all through high school. he would never verbally call the other 2 his friends but they are indeed his friends, especially skye

kyle dyed his hair blue because one night he and skye got drunk and skye convinced kyle to walk to the drugstore with him and pick out a new color from the self-dye kits. kyle chose blonde and they went back home and dyed his hair and when they woke up the next morning kyle's hair looked so bad he had to go get it professionally redone. he chose blue and black instead of going back to brown because he figured it was time for a change, and now he "has cooler hair than skye". (skye is happy about this statement because kyle implied that skye's hair is cool)

skye and max both have eyebrow slits later in the story — skye has 2 slits on his left eyebrow and max has 2 slits on his right eyebrow. yes they cut them together

cecil (agnes’ boyfriend) is destroyed that she is dead, tracks down skye, and they become allies basically

ideally i want to have volume 1 culminate with Skye becoming estranged from the group and everything kinda being up in the air. volume 2 will have timeskip. i also want 3 separate shorter volumes for skye, max, and kyles past. possibly a shorter volume for the quins’ past, and maybe one with santiago and carmelo. 

Okay up date to this^ april 7, 2021 -- to fit all of the lore i have about the boys™ into the story, volume 1 will have to stretch more. The issue with that is the other 2 stories arent as easy to stretch out. So either vol 1 will not end with this, or it will, but there will be other smaller volumes just detailing the character’s day to day lives. Think the warrior cats mangas. Just side stories and whatnot. Or maybe just include a lot of flashbacks in later volumes. But ew i hate that. No it needs to take longer, it really does. I guess i can go with the idea about andi taking in quentin, and kyle taking longer to find andi and maybe that can be a whole arc on its own. As for crae, i should focus more on his family and friends and get more into him as a character. For quincy, im honestly not sure. Brett is gonna continue being brett but maybe quincy has to go into hiding because carmelo is pissed that his brother is missing and thinks quincy is hiding him (kinda like how he thinks kyle is doing the smae thing to andi) but i dont know what quincy would be doing in hiding. Maybe just running away from consequences. But that means he would have to change his appearance and name to keep hiding, so ill have to do a second design for him. Yes this is good. Im gonna have him run away and live another life like Amy in Gone Girl. is this becoming too much going on in one book? Maybe i can leave quincy’s story up in the air and just focus on the other two for alittle bit, and then a volume or two later quincy can resurface. After all quentin will be with andi. I can replace the quincy/quentin chapters with quentin and andi, but maybe make those not as often bc again what am i even gonna have them do. Ill just sprinkle those in every now and then until andi is found by kyle, and then go from there with quentin because obvs andi will be part of the skylax bit of the story. This should keep it from getting too convoluted, with too many storylines merging. Oh my god i wrote a lot

update 7/9/22

i actually DO want to end vol 1 with agnes dying. i decided to focus on the skylax store more for vol 1 since they’re the most fleshed out. obviously the quentin storyline is set up and we know about crae and them. so basically just a big character study but mainly focused on the skylax trio

THEY FIND OUT THAT THEYVE BEEN KIDNAPPED AND BRAINWASHED TO THINK THAT CARMELO WAS A GOOD GUY AND THEY HAD REASONS TO OWE HIM THEIR LIFE — LSD HYPNOSIS

THIS IS ALSO WHY THEY DONT TAKE OFF THEIR NECKLACES VERY OFTEN THEY HAVE BEEN HYPNOTISED TO HAVE AN ATTACHMENT TO THEM or think that they got them from someone else

carmelo calls his group of people a gang but it’s more like a cult 

he’s extremely charming and deceptive and has a silver tongue but he’s actually very evil and wants nothing more than to kinda like have full control over the world or whatever or at least a lot of money

he gains control over his members by finding young impressionable people and/or those desperate for money and over time brainwashes them via drugs or drinks spiked/laced with drugs that make one more deceptive to hypnotic suggestion, which Brett invented, and over time he twists their minds to be unyieldingly loyal to him. this process can be sped up by taking the drug outright

he has a superiority/god complex which is only spurred on by his cocaine addiction 

the only thing he’s afraid of is santiago (his brother) and it’s not a “run away” fear but more like a “i have to kill you before you kill me” fear

he killed his and santiago’s grandfather (who raised them) after his grandfather killed his grandmother for finding out she had cheated years prior (he was just as unhinged as carmelo). carmelo and his abuela used to be really close 

after carmelo kills abuelo, santiago fights carmelo because he was closer to abuelo and even though he was mad at him for killing abuela he was madder at carmelo for killing abuelo 

carmelo escapes with the scar on his mouth and some on his chest/arms 

he starts forming his little gang to try and protect himself and also get money because now he’s on his own 

many of the original gang members join for the money incentive also, and carmelo finds young strong impressionable people to use (skye, max, kyle, otto, andi, brett, quincy, quentin)

as carmelo begins to realize his potential to “rule the world” he gives brett the green light to experiment on the gang members 

at this point they’re mostly happy with the advantages of the operations and also they’re scared of carmelo AND have nowhere else to go so they stay with him and still do robberies and drug running/selling and stuff 

then they start becoming more like hitmen because carmelo makes enemies easily and at this point it becomes more of a cult, especially with the drugs and the way he maintains control over them
