Session 14.5 - interrogation
Jhin rises, looking like death - Lucia offers him a potion but he turns it down, reacting intensely as he has a flashback to the slaughter in his temple. Onyx insists and Jhin drinks a greater healing potion.
We tie our prisoner to a tree and Onyx strips him of his items - 2 silver shortswords, 4 silver daggers, 3 bombs, 2 whips, 10 gold. Lysandra checks the rest of the bodies and gathers together a collection of silver shortswords and silver longswords, whips, 150 gold and a letter that reads “Eliminate the Rockreach settlement, purge the filth and cut down all the sympathisers - SK”. We gather together out of the prisoner’s earshot, although Merla stays close to him to watch over him. Lysandra shows the note to the rest of us, and none of us recognise the name. We return to the prisoner and Lysandra casts Zone of Truth - he fails the save, calling Lysandra an abomination and trying to avoid giving us any information. Jhin punches him and he tells us he won’t be intimidated by us monsters. Lucia casts Suggestion telling him to tell us what we ask and he fails that save too.
We discover that SK, who ordered the cleansing of the settlement, is the high commander of his group called the Crimson Vanguard - communication between them and SK is handled by the Red Gods, six elite members of the order. The Crimson Vanguard’s main settlement is in the Hutan Forest. After cleansing the settlement their orders were to enter the Dark Domain to investigate the Rivaine royal family in the hopes of dismantling the Dark Domain. They were due to meet a different informant each day at the Cathedral of St Julianna, starting in two weeks’ time.
