Diem, Ryou
Dina

A New Roommate

Shrugging, Diem couldn't say it wasn't, but it wasn't like he needed to say it out loud either. He'd manage one way or another even if he had to casually move to live outside with his dragons just to save up faster.

There was a sudden moment of distraction as he was eating when Dina started chirping at Ryou. The partly cat cat going from normal to slit eyes as his ears shot forward. Enjoy might be the wrong word to describe how he felt about the wind looking dragon, but he was definitely intent on staring at her at such times. It took the other's whistle and question to bring his attention back, causing him to tilt his head. "Is this part of you wanting to make up for being too brash too? Preeeetty sure it's going a little far."

Which wasn't a no, but moving in with an incubus he technically just met today. Diem had to admit though, this was definitely going to be something he'd write about in his journal later.

While Ryou of course had his eyes on Dina, with DIem being his guest he eventually turned his attention to him and when he did he couldn't help but feel the desire  to reach out and stroke those cat like eats. Call Diem a pretty kitty, just aaaaaaccidently embarrass the boy a little bit more. He didn’t, but oh did he want to. It was over though, and Ryou had to act like he didn’t see anything so adorable and cute, just so Diem didn’t fluster and think he was all flirt and touches. He didn’t mind but he did have the title of incubus, and he didn’t want to give wrong impressions.

“No, I think it’ll be fun is all. You seem nice and the dragons could use some sort of company when i’m not there. If you turn out to be a dick then it’s a shame, but if not it’ll be a wonderful time for everyone. Think of it aaaaaaas, i’m just casually bringing you home as a cute stray, with alllll your adorable stray dragons too of course.” Cause what sort of person would he be making Diem keep his dragons away? His own would probably love to play with them as well.

Ryou... was kind of an oddball. Take the time to eat more of his curry and hum, Diem blurted out exactly what he was thinking too, "You're kinda strange. It's probably strange to say sure too but-" shrugging, he didn't really see the downside in saying no. It'd be like moving into a new dorm with another student, toootally. He was pretty sure Malice could zoom him away if there was anything weird about it too. Though he somehow doubted there would be considering how surprisingly nice Ryou turned out to be.

The thought of living on a ship struck his fancy as well. It'd be much easier for his ocean hybrids. The pair loved to play in the water together, but oceanside rooms were hella expensive compared to their land locked counterparts. "Oh, uh, I should probably warn you that Malice is a bit of a menace. She's a storm dragon that likes to cause mischief."

“Maybe a little, but i have a wrath no one would want to see so it’s fine~” Sweet on the outside and even most of the way through, it drew quite a few people who wanted to keep the seemingly innocent just that. Not that he was fully innocent, but he was a caring boy who wanted the pure things in life. “Aren’t most storm dragons like that?”

Well, maybe not. One of their younger teachers was a Storm/Dark rider and his storm dragons tended to be eccentric but not complete terrors. Granted, he also had a trainer husband so who knew what magic the ginger male could have worked on his husbands dragons when he wasn’t around, or was for that matter.

“Friend?” Dina asked, chewing at the last of the meat left in the bowl which meant soon it would be spoon feeding time. Ryou had made his way through most of his meal, deciding to work on the noodles before they became too cold to his liking. He could always take them home and reheat them but they never tasted as good when he did that, and that made him sad.

“Yes, plenty of new friends.” He confirmed, twisting the noodles around the chopsticks before shoving quite a bit into his mouth and chewing away. Delicious, long, thick noodles that soaked up the broth they were in that had quite a kick. His dragons didn’t always enjoy spicy things but he did.

“Friend!” Dina said, this time louders and clapping her winged hands like the child she was, staring big eyed at Diem. He was clearly part of the new friends.

Diem opened his mouth to answer for a second before realizing he didn't actually know the answer to that question. The only dragons he knew of were Malice's parents that who were both storms. "I don't think so?" Using them as a basis, Coraline was much more calm than her daughter and Diem thought Ansel was adorable with his high pitched voice that said questionable things at times. Sometimes he thought their chemistry teacher was a storm/light dragon, but that was just him.

Idly eating his food, the young cat was actually eating a mixture of noodles and curry. It was hard to decide on which one was his favorite, despite the reluctance he had at first to having more than the curry. He had been worried about the price of the meal, but supposed he didn't have to any more if he were going to move in with Ryou. It was a good thing he didn't have much to carry with him.

It took him a moment before he noticed those big bird eyes staring at him so happily, for once causing Diem to grin back at her. It wasn't often those golden eyes softened from their usual cautiousness from the world in general, but it was hard to keep ones guard up when it came to a small baby dragon. "Yeah, hope five new friends isn't too many all of a sudden." Finishing up his own bowls, he cleaned off his hands before reaching one out to the little wyvern to see if she'd shake 'hands'. "It'll be exciting at least."

Gasping a little as a hand was extended to her, Ryou could be heard snickering as he finished most of his meal up, leaving a little bit for his dragons to have a taste of as Dina’s rice was coming home with them. She was far too focused on her new ‘friends’ to finish eating, which was all too cute for Ryou who’s other two dragons were on the bigger side and didn’t have the small cute baby stage as far as someone may think of.

“Friiiiiiiiend!” She squeed, grabbing onto his finger with her own hand, shaking it as Ryou packed up what was left, scooting Dina to the table as she played with Diem’s bigger hand. With Diem distracted as well, he even paid before he slipped off his seat, counting out some bills to leave behind as the tip.

“Come on you two, dont want it to be too late when we get back, dooooo you?” He teased, getting the soft ‘No!’ from Dina who rolled back over and wiggled right up Ryou’s sleeve as he sighed. “So young and cute....”
