Cleaning and Packing

His attention was now back on Diem though, fluffing his mass of hair with those cute twitchy ears he finally gave into touching. He was of course careful, not being too touch as he pulled his hand back after what was merely a few seconds and a sweet smile.

“Well, do you have a lot of things? I can go get Cas if you do, he’s very good at helping. Or did you want to just... grab your things and see us over there? We’re a little beyond the field behind. The ship is pretty hard to miss, I can even send Dina with you if you desire so you don't get lost.” Usually he would walk his guest to and from places, just to be safe, but he wanted to go home and clean up just a little.

His dragons were usually good, but they did have a habit of making a little bit of a mess when he was home. It couldn’t be helped he supposed, but he didn’t want their new roommate to walk into that on his first day! That would be so rude and set such bad examples of how he was, which was usually neat.

Chuckling lightly, Dina was one of the most adorable dragons he had the pleasure of being about to now be friends with, his own oceans being listed up there as well. About to ask about the check, Diem jumped when he felt something suddenly on his head. Giving the most confused looks when he looked up to see Ryou petting him, he wasn't sure how to feel about the situation. Honestly, he only got a pet in his cat form by his father before, ears laying back out of habit so no fingers got accidently put in them.

He did find himself curiously wishing there had been a few more seconds of it though when the other pulled away, giving those big eyes without realizing it. They had places to be though, and he had things to grab. Shaking his head, Diem was pretty sure he could find a ship beyond the fields. He didn't remember a big body of water being there before, but perhaps there was just enough for a small port. Or it could be a house simply made to look like a ship! Both options were rather interesting to the young adventurer. "There's not a lot. I'll grab my things and see you over there, I should be fine as long as it's not hidden under a tree or something." He'd have Malice's bird's eye view to bring over everything so it should be fiiine as they left the cozy eatery.

“Alright, stay safe!” Watching the feline male run off, he stood there a moment more as Dina crawled up his arm, wrapping herself around his neck to rub her face against Ryou as he sighed.

“Gay?”

“Only a little, come on, we have to clean up the ship a little. Do you want to sing the cleaning song?” Getting those little squees, Ryou headed off after a few goodbyes, wings spreading out as he took off into the sky. It was close by so it wasn’t needed, but he wanted to get there and leave himself with as much time as he could get to pick up after his sliced up pegasus and wingless dino bird.

Arriving home, he barely got in the door when he was rushed by the bigger pair, one much older then the other but that didn’t mean the other dam wasn’t catching up fast. Already at his height, Charmeine did seem like she had reached her maximum size but Ryou wasn’t sure in all honesty. He supposed he’d find out as she ate more.

“Welcome hooooome Reeeeeee!” Cas called, rubbing his head alllll over his rider as his hooved little feet tapped on the ground, so excited to see the rider.

“Yes, yes, hello sweeties. I really adore you but we have a guest coming over, so we gotta clllllllllllean.” Gasping, Cas was focused and off, pushing small piles of blankets he had pulled down into Ryou’s room where Ryou would fold them later but for now could be mistaken as a next.

Charmeine took more time to greet the light blue haired rider however, gargling soft hellos as she was taking a bit more time to grasp language, but she was getting there as she picked up a more proper way to speak.

“Welcome home, ssssssir!” She chirped, getting nice strokes before she too scooted off, all too excited to help in the time of excitement.

Well, with any luck this house would be presentable. Not that it wasn’t already. Just some mislaid clothes and a few dishes. Rolling up his sleeves, Ryou started in the kitchen, humming this ‘cleaning song’ as Dina zoomed around, grabbing small bits of trash to deposit into the garbage can while the other two joined in on the sing-song tune.

Off on his own again, Diem did like that inn since it was on the closer side of town to the school. It'd be a hassle if Ryou's place was further away, but he'd probably be able to convince ult of his bigger dragons to take him to and from if so. Figuring he might as well take the time to do so now, he pulled out the journal to start jotting down quick notes about his meeting with the blue haired incubus.

By the time he was back at his soon to be ex-home, he had gone over the basics about how they were a lot nicer than he thought all the way up to the lunch of forgiveness. It was about then that he realized they still hadn't paid, but if Ryou really went there as often as he did, maybe he had some sort of tab that he planned to pay later. Not exactly wanting to look a gift horse in the mouth, Diem supposed he wouldn't bring it back up again. "Malice?" He called out while pushing the door open into an empty room. Blinking, he poked at her through their bond to no avail. She had a bad habit of cutting off their connection herself since she was independent when she didn't wanna get yelled at.

Rubbing at his temples, he knew she was fine at least if she could ditch out on the moving. It'd take a little longer than flying there, but if it was close to the restaurant then he should be fine. The school books were the heaviest things he owned, not even the recipe books as thick as them, though more numerous. They made his bag weigh a ton, but with a good tug he was able to get the buckle in the front snapped close. The best part about paying week to week was that he could simply stuff all his clothes into a second bag and be off.

It might have earned him some sympathetic looks from the townsfolk seeing a kid struggling along with the heavy bags, but they were very much ignored. Thank god Ryou was right and the grounded ship wasn't too hard to find as Diem started his way up the ramp to the deck.
