WORCIMEX LORE --------------------------------------------------

There are different variations of Worcimex that have been reported, but no evidence of their existence is available.

Worcimex Bug.task() (The common Worcimex worker)
Worcimex Hive.mind() (Managing and administrative Worcimex)
Worcimex World.control() (Idolized ruler Worcimex)

Worcimex

Worcimex are transformative insects who serve as great workers and weaponry. Their name Worcimex is a combination of the words work and cimex, work referring to their strong capabilities as workers, and cimex, Latin word for bug, which could be interpreted as insects, or bugs as in an error in a system. The Worcimex are sometimes more simply referred to as “workbugs”.

These creatures are an incredibly social and communicative species. This is likely due to their focus on working for their hive, where communication is key to making sure everybody is content, safe, and most importantly, happy. They do not live for very long without contact with other Worcimex. Some require less communication than others, though, and will be just fine with talking to another bug every other month.

Anatomy ---------------------------------------------------------

Base
The Worcimex’s bare body is a smooth dark mass made of strong fibers to hold its form. They feel extremely soft and plush, however, this is because there is a thin outer layer fabric to serve as skin, and because their internal body system is composed primarily of squishy bone marrow that acts similarly to cotton. Notably, Worcimex do not have bones internally.
  • Horns, ears, or antennae can come out of the head.
  • Tails are bare beneath the tail plate.
  • Worcimex bodies produce black blood. However, when looking at their internal system, it appears that everything is covered with a layer of solid white. Sometimes it is translucent.
  • Bare body can be smooth "fur", or rugged fluffy "fur".

The External Core Bite aka “XBIT”
All Worcimex have a core that serves as their heart and brain.
  • The XBIT can be any shape. Its size ranges from 2 inches to 5 inches in diameter (5cm - 13cm).
  • The XBIT is extremely sturdy and difficult to destroy. It will only fracture by being pierced.

Protective Bones
The primary protective bones are the rib cage and the spine. The Worcimex can extend their rib cage bones just enough to be able to cover their XBIT if there’s a threat.

Binding Bones
The hip and shoulder bones, the limb bones and their respective “gloves”, as well as the tail’s bone plate, are all used to bind the Worcimex bodies. These bones help tighten their skin to keep their organs from moving too much.

Masks
Worcimex have a cute bare face! So, sometimes they like to try to fit in with other species by wearing masks of that species. These mask are fully functional and highly convincing.

Weapon
All Worcimex have a tail blade. Others may have two, or three, or four! These blades often change when undergoing a transformation. Many Worcimex don't actually use their tail blade, but it does help protect if necessary.

Fated Career ----------------------------------------------------------

All Worcimex have a "uniform transformation!"
They end up with a permanent uniform that correlates to their destined career/profession. The Worcimex is extremely talented in this particular career, but they're still generally capable of performing well in other jobs. If the Worcimex becomes successful enough and happy enough with their destined career, then they end up with a "deuxform transformation." This is an upgraded version of their initial uniform.

There are cases of Worcimex that do not want to go through with their exceptional talent as their primary career. They won't get a change in their uniform transformation, but they're still given the choice to do something else. These Worcimex are quite stubborn! However, there are a few that are very happy with their secondary choice.

Reproduction ----------------------------------------------------------

  • If a Worcimex wants to have a child, they first must consult the Queen of the hive!
  • The Queen helps protect the identity of the Worcimex, as well as storing new data for the creation of a child.
  • She provides a "Love Bullet" that the Worcimex may share with any one consenting partner of their choice.
  • The two Worcimex will then proceed to slice the Love Bullet in half, vertically. Afterwards, they exchange the Love Bullet halves and present it to their body's core.
  • Finally, one Worcimex will grow out each of the Love Bullet halves over the course of 6 months (similarly to that of a plant sprout).
  • It is uncommon for one of the Worcimex children to die before they fully come out of the Love bullet. Two will almost always emerge out!
