MILKMAIDS
Milkmaids are a subspecies of milki that live in the sea, usually in cities at the bottom of the sea made from coral and glass.
They’re naturally nomadic and many of them swim from ocean to ocean in small groups called “pods”, and occasionally visit the shore.
They often decorate their glass bodies with shells, gems and stones they find in the ocean.
Toppings are typically in their tail only, due to water sweeping away their hair toppings and accessories!
Recap:
- Exclusive Traits: Fins, glass scales, fin ears, and webbed hands
- Abilities: Able to go into the sea; have a land and mer form
- Tail: Glass fish/octopus/squid-like tails
TRAITS
MER' AND 'LAND' FORMS
Milkmaids can go on land, though they usually live in water. Due to some milkmaids deciding to live among land-dwelling milki, they’ve evolved to be able to shift into a ‘mer’ form and a ‘land’ form. The land form is no different to a regular milki, with the exception of a lack of hair toppings- this means there’s not much of a difference as regular milki dont always have hair toppings.
If a milkmaid is on land for long enough, their hair toppings can reform.
TAILS
Milkmaids have glass tails in place of where a milki would have their legs; Tails need to be either fish-like tails or squid/octopus tails. For example, crocodile tails and turtle tails are not permitted.
You are welcome to ask an admin if a certain tail would be fine or not!
OPTIONAL SUBSPECIES EXCLUSIVE TRAITS
You can use these for milkmaids, but they aren’t required
- Fins: These can be in a variety of shapes and sizes and can be made of either glass or milkshake.
- Glass Scales: These can be placed anywhere on a milki’s milkshake.
- Fin Ears: These can be in a variety of shapes and sizes and can be made of any texture you’d regularly see for milki ears (milkshake, glass, whipped cream).
- Webbed Hands: The “webs” are the same texture as the milki’s hands.
Milkmaids can have any trait a basic milki can have with the exception of some mutations - milkmaids can have any regular mutations, check the mutations x subspecies guide here for more information. Crossbreed subspecies are currently not allowed.
