Like any creature, Milki's are susceptible to a variety of illnesses and possible injury! This is not mandatory to read, so you can skip it if the idea makes you uncomfortable! The only mandatory info you must take from this is that cracked glass is a serious injury, shattering glass is a near-instant death, and being in liquid for too long can be incredibly harmful!

Reforming is a process very similar to healing skin! The top layer of a milki's body is very liquidy, and is constantly dripping off and replenishing itself, so flesh wounds heal pretty quickly Getting into the second layer or core, regeneration gets harder and takes much longer to fully complete.
When it comes to Milki's reforming, usually it happens automatically and naturally, but the process can be interrupted, resulting in missing fingers/arms.

Some posisble factors can be

  • the process wasn't fast enough to fully heal
  • a lot of milkshake lost
  • maybe water/fire related
  • trauma related

GLASS RELATED

  • Cracked Glass: A serious injury for a Milki. Milki with cracked glass are 99% of the time in wheelchairs to keep the cracks small. There's no telling what amount of pressure at what angle could make the crack bigger. There's a surgery to fix cracked glass that you can get from a glass maker. But because of the danger and the fact that you need to use a special glass, its very expensive and not always available to everyone.
  • Complete Shattering: Eight out of Ten times, shattering results in near instantaneous death. There is a slim chance a Milki can survive a shattered leg if they are taken to a surgeon in time, but even then the recovery process is long and grueling and can put poorer milkis into debt if they can't afford the emergency surgery. If a milkis torso is shattered, however, its an instantaneous death.
  • Thin Glass (Oligoglass): A glass related disorder Milki can be born with. Milki that are born with very thin glass are often referred to as "fragile". Something like falling is a lot more likely to crack or even shatter a Milki like this. These Milki are often in wheelchairs as well, though some opt to take the risk of living without one.

MILKSHAKE RELATED

  • Unblended: Actual ice chunks within the Milki and completely frozen parts. This makes moving that part or body parts near it painful and can often lead to complete paralysis. A Milki can either be born with this or develop it if they drink water or go to extremely cold areas.
  • Cluttered/Overstuffed: Overstuffing of the legs. Milki can have toppings inside their legs. Most times, this doesn't affect them but occasionally a Milki can have TOO MANY toppings inside of the glass. It can outnumber the amount of milkshake inside the glass. This causes them to have poor balance and in some cases have little to no feeling in their legs at all. These cases, a wheelchair would be assigned.
  • Melting: Similarly to liquids, if a Milki is exposed to prolonged a heat they begin dripping off mere liquids then they can make in a reasonable amount of time and can die. Babies are especially susceptible to this, so most babies are put into the freezer at a time that would ideally have them ready to come out by the winter.
  • Hypo-Replacement: Milki naturally replace the milkshake that drips off them every day. Milki that naturally can't do this have "Hypo-replacement". This can be treated with milkshake donations from other Milki of either the same milkshake or vanilla (the universal flavor). This isn't a cure, so the Milki need to do it from as much as every week to as little as every month depending on the thickness of the Milki and severity of the illness.

ETC.

  • Liquids: Being in a liquid sweeps their milkshake away faster than they're able to make it. Liquids like water are worse for a Milki than milk because it's so thin and takes away so much of the milkshake so quickly.
  • Missing Eyes and Glass Replacements: Occasionally, a Milki will be born with no eyes. They usually have glass eye's made for them, but this is for aesthetic reasons and does not enable sight.
