One of the ways Milki's can customize themselves is through glass modification! Glass modification can come in many forms, ranging from simple etching or painting to the more extreme glass molding. Glass modification is a normal and common part of Milki society as a form of self expression. Some milkis make changes to their glass to better express their interests and personalities, while others make changes to help out with their occupations.

Some Milki who are less committed just get stickers! These have to replaced every few weeks to a couple of days depending on the sticker type. Kids also like to decorate themselves on the glass with stickers as temporary tattoos.

WAYS TO MODIFY

Glass Painting

Glass can be painted! Paint can be any color, and even look metallic! A Milki can either paint their own glass or get it professionally done. Paint also looks better on more opaque glass, but Milki's with any glass opacity can get glass painted. Depending on what type of paint is used such as acrylic enamel paint, it can be waterproof and last a long time. Some other types would have to be reapplied every few months or weeks.

Glass Etching

It is the Milki equivalent to getting tattoos! Since their milkshake body is constantly dripping off and replenishing itself, a tattoo on their skin would be impermanent. Glass etching can be a little painful, as it involves a sharp tool etching into the upper most layer of their glass, but ultimately harmless! Similar to this, there is a process of frosting one's glass. Frosting a Milki's glass also involves the upper most layer of the glass, but instead of the 'tattoo' being etched in, a cream is applied for a few moments that leaves a white imprint of whatever design they chose..

Glass Molding

Glass molding can occur naturally, but some Milki like to get extra molding on their glass! This is considered an extreme form of glass modification, as it can be quite painful depending on where the molding is located. It is most commonly done on the legs, or glass arms if applicable, but sometimes Milki's choose to add ornate glass mods on their glass rim, as natural glass molding will never go over the parameters of glass height. You can see some examples of glass molding below!

Expanding The Shape

Glass molding can be used to expand upon the milki's glass outwards such as spikes or handles! These are some common examples of extreme form of molding. However, there are milkis with glass molded shaped skirts, heels, and other forms of stylization available to choose from!

Limitations

The rim of the glass can't go above the chest. Once it gets up to that height, it makes it difficult for the milki to move and be flexible. Developing milkis with naturally high rims often have to have extreme glass modification to shorten it and visits with a glass doctor to make sure the glass stays within the healthy rim height range as they grow up. However, molded glass can go over this limit by using the methods listed below.

MOLDING OVER CHEST

Method A

The artificial modification is transparent, allowing the milkshake to be seen through the glass molding. This might need a reference of the milkshake under the glass depending on how this is designed to make approval easier for you and staff.

Method B

A different color and or shape is added on top of the rim. It looks like another piece of glass placed on top. It is recommended you make the colors clearly different from the glass body's color for easier approval.

Method C

The parts of rim is still within the glass height limit and is visible. This is similar to the other methods but the main thing is the rim must be visible and within the height limit..

Below is the Glass height reference that better explains height limitation regarding the rim.
