I'm not sure if this is the place but I just wanted to say that I really appreciate and love how detailed the lore for this species is<3 It makes it more fun to create and write a mochibun!!

Yep! Unique Pattern refers to the 2 patterns on the bottom of the flavor reference page that have black ear color. Unique Patterns are exclusive to 1 and 2 star rank.

On the other hand, Unique Flavor is an add on that can be purchased at the Markeplace for flour which allows the designer to make up their own ear pattern or combine existing patterns. Unique Flavor can be used on a mochibun of any star rank as it is different from Unique Pattern.
