It's Holiday Season!
I hope everyone has an absolutely lovely time, and be sure to bundle up if it's cold!! I'll detail this in another post most likely but after some thought and after a hectic past couple of months, I think I have a better idea of how to move forward from here in regards to this species. Though unfortunately said plans would require me to place everything on hiatus for while longer. Hope to figure all that out in another announcement but until then!

I'd like to once again thank everyone who signed up for a GA position! It was the first time I've done so and it unfortunately coincided with me returning to college, and inadvertently delaying the entire ordeal. Everyone has been exceedingly patient and I've learned a lot from this experience, including a number of ways this process can be made more efficient for the future! Though it will likely be a while until we do something of this kind again~ Thank you guys again for sticking around, it means the world to me! ^///^)/

There are still some adopts that will be coming around some time in the near future, as well as some other news which I will announce in a different bulletin. That one will also be our event wrap-up and further news regarding what I hope to accomplish with my newly busied schedule.

There's a Rumbling in the Distance...
It was yet another day in Sanctuary Square, reconstruction had been well underway since the strange attack on the town and everything seemed to finally begin settling down into peaceful rhythm. While there was still a very long way go till everything was perfectly back in order once again, they've come a long way! And they will continue to build themselves right back up again and move on, just as they have many times before.

But perhaps all was not well and good after all. Maddock, the town masksmith, was still missing his hammer. A search was conducted along with the help of many volunteers, however the task was rather daunting even at a glance. Despite the seemingly simple premise, the town was littered with debris of all kinds and without an actual description, no one could discern which lost tool could've possibly been the one; if it was even out there. Nonetheless, various Comfys went right to work searching where they thought this mysterious hammer may be.
Yet, another problem arose...

Debris. Endless, endless amounts of debris, launched and scattered throughout the entire town as a result of the frenzy tearing up the town. Broken shattered pieces in all corners, and cleaning it up was no simple task, hammer search aside. Among the discarded tools however a strange pattern began to emerge: evidence of things being eaten, bitten and chewed as if they were an afternoon snack. Most of them tools: hammers, crowbars, screwdrivers, axes, anything you could think of, be it wood, stone, or steel. It appeared something had developed quite the strange taste, and perhaps still developing an appetite... Unsure what to think of the strange phenomenon, most put the case aside to focus on more important matters. The town wasn't going to rebuild itself.
Well, that is until it dredged itself back up again.

From the depths of a far deeper body of water.

WHAT IS THAT?!
A creature of the dark of insurmountable hulking size rises from the water, the impact of its body and weight crashing back onto the forest ground shakes the earth, sending shockwaves across the space yet again. The disturbance is great, and the mounting dread evident, as the beast lets out a deafening roar towards the skies. Within its maw resides a strangely familiar glow, whatever it was it must've been acting as a makeshift core that has allowed it to remain within the pocket without the space rejecting it. Crushed bits of stone and remains of tools occasionally drop from its mouth as it haphazardly chews on things far too small for its jaws. It hungers, no longer satiated with its previous diet now at its current size, as it turns its attention towards its new target. You.
It's time for a RAID BATTLE!
It's of utmost importance that whatever that is does not reach the town square! Everyone better ready yourself because it's time to get prepared for action once again! The good news is that this time, instead of an overwhelming hoard, the target is a singular enemy. If we work together, surely things will work out!

Our event this time around is to fight a (strangely cute...?) creature of the dark! They aren't really supposed to get that big...huh. The goal is to collectively battle the boss and earn milestone rewards for everyone who participates along the way! It's all hands on deck,so we hope you can help out!

It's Finally Another Event Everyone!
Hit a couple bumps along the way but it's been a time!
The event is way more concise this time around so I hope it's easier to navigate! I've spent a long time trying to tinker with specifics but at the very least I hope it works out in a fun way. :3c I still intend to do some fun things during this event, which includes particular raffles you're only eligiable for if you participate in this time's event, achievements for actions taken during the event, some extra spice tossed in in the midst of the event, and so on~ There's an endless amount of stuff I'd like to build upon in this species and we're just going to just keep going few steps at a time <3

Hello Hello Again!
After some consideration, instead of leaving this group up in the air indefinitely (for a variety of reasons that mostly pertain to my own circumstances), we will officially be taking a full month's break during the month of July! Partially for Art Fight and mostly so that I can get everything properly set up and more for August instead.^^ A vote was done within the discord to make this decision and as such this is how we'll be moving forward. o///o)b

Nothing here will particularly change, but I figured it would be best to have a written notice posted here as well. ^///^ I still have a lot of ideas and plans of doing things for this place in the future, and I hope to be able to catch up on stuff so that we may do just that~ I will be sprinkling stuff here and there within the discord while stuff continues, and I hope to eventually be able to properly run events for this species once again!

Hi Hi Again!
Time sure flies, goodness-

Anyhow, I'd just like to apologize for the lack of activity in the past month! Lots of things were happening one way or another and while I could go into them, I won't make excuses for being unable to fulfill things the way I wanted to here. So I'm just putting it out there that I'm still hoping to properly do more events soon~ The goal is to do so before the beginning of next month, but in the meantime, thanks for anyone who's been along for the ride pffft-

This is just a short notice to clear up what's been kinda going on. I'm rolling up my sleeves and rearing to give stuff another go, so I hope to be back to proper business in due time! Writing out this bulletin partially to explain but also so I have another incentive to keep at it~

There's a lot to do so I'll be tackling things one at a time. I've got a lot of ideas for the stuff that comes next and so I hope to execute that to the best of my ability! Thanks again for being around and as always~

HELLOOOO LIL STARS~!
Thank you everyone so much for participating in our first event! I learned a good deal from it and I hope we can do even better moving forward~ I know I'm pretty excited for the stuff in the works, and I hope we can all enjoy em too! 

I've made 3 lil designs here based on a few wishes and objects from the bonfire, and I'm hoping to make a few more, so they'll perhaps be adopts in the future. ;3c Here they are~![This Raffle Has Ended!]

EVENT CONLCUSION
So as mentioned before, some prompts will now be closed! Specifically Maddock's Lost Hammer and Bonfire Night, these two threads will no longer be accepting submissions once they are moved to our archive forums~ The remaining two (Rebuilding the Square & Bianca's Makeshift Stage) will stick around for the time being as I set up the next part.

I will take a bit of time to tally up the results and announce them along with what comes next in what I hope to be around a week's time! Since the next part does come directly as a result of finding Maddock's hammer~ What does that mean exactly? Weeeell, you'll just have to see. ;3c

[If anyone requires an extension for any activity in the case of partially complete submissions, feel free to notify me!]

Heya Lil Sparks!
Just a quick heads up that our first event's end date has officially been settled to be April 15th! After that date Maddock's Lost Hammer prompts will be closed as the hammer will be found, while others will likely be shuffled around but remain open to continued submissions with their rewards reduced.

The reconstruction of Sanctuary Square will remain as a background setting for a while longer, but some new conflicts will surely come our way as everyone continues building the town back up. All submissions to Rebuilding the Square's Room for Improvement prompt will be taken account to build up the town, and I'm always happy to have more things to put into consideration when creating future events, so feel free to keep submitting those whilst reconstruction continues if you so wish. ^///^)/

There will likely be a small pause in between Event happenings to ensure things work out (And that I have everything in working order-), but regardless, I hope to continue doing my best~!

Trait Sheet Update!
A little while ago some additions were made to our trait sheets! 
I wanted to wait until the page on Corruption was also written up to announce it in tandem, but since those are already up, feel free to take a look~ A more detailed explanation/clarification about corruption as well as its associated traits will be elabrated upon at a later date, but hopefully soon (I'm working on it-)!

There's still a whole bunch of written information I'd like to organize for this species, and as always I appreciate folks asking questions about the world and how it functions. I look forward to continue expanding upon it along with you all!

Spirits Are High as the Fire Roars...

"I wish..."

The light of the flames illuminates the night, reminding all who bask in it's presence the recent victory over the shadows and how bright the future to come is. Some use these moments to bitterly reminisce, placing pieces of their loved ones to be consumed by the flames and uttering their wishes to themselves, surrounded by all but in their own worlds.

"I wish."

Others use this wonderful opportunity to PARRRRRTAYYY!!!  Some skip around the flames, squealing with delight as other jovial folks chase after them. Others sing folk songs or perform, sharing their talents for all the Square to enjoy, forgetting all about the rough work that is to come to rebuild their demolished city.  Some throw in random objects and make loud and equally arbitrary wishes to get rises out of those who hear. Regardless, the flame hears out all desires and wish every story, every hope, every prayer shared. It glows ever so brightly- until soon, beings start to emerge from the bonfire.

The Storm in the Distant Skies...
It was truly a day like no other.
The ever bright and sunny skies of Sanctuary Square all at once trembled and churned; its light dim and its clouds twisting into unnatural shapes as the sky began to warp and rip itself apart. With the ferocity of a beast cursed with endless hunger, an unrelenting swarm of monsters and creatures of the dark tore through the Astral Pocket's barrier like fabric--with a force too vast to quickly repair or defend against--and poured in through the newly formed crevice as if it were a gaping maw. Fierce quakes rocked the ground as swarms upon swarms fell towards the celestial earth, scattering in all directions to take up the most amount of space before the world's natural defenses could usher them out. With the incoming enslaught quickly approaching, the Comfys took immediate action; summoning their weapons, readying for a fight while hurredly hiding away those who could not within nearby shelter. The distance skies transforming into a growing mass of darkness that approached the Square at alarming speed.
Like a ravenous and harrowing tsunami, the Square was devoured by the darkness; all corners enveloped in a suffocating haze as harsh winds battered the populace, sweeping away loose debris and shattering windows as the malicious forces weakened and wore down the bricks and cobblestone of each and every structure, street, and building that came across its path. Tooth and claw, indiscriminantly lashing out at whatever came near, swallowing up the plaza and alleys with their burdening negativity.

Luckily, breaking through the Astral Pockets barrier was a task that required monstrous amounts of power; a cost that most certainly left the opposition significantly weakened from the sacrifice. While their numbers remained overwhelming, the Comfys were able to slowly regain ground and push back against the assault upon their once peaceful town. The proximity to the Flame of Passion likely also aiding the citizens in defending their region with its presence, with the shadows evidently unable to reach the Sanctuary in which it resides. Slowly but surely, the remaining monsters were eventually stamped out and ejected from the dimension, the rest sputtering into helpless mist from the abundance of celestial energies within the atmosphere of the Astral Pocket slowly dispersing their influence into the winds. Despite the chaos of the frenzy, and the sheer number of malicious forces that the Comfys had to contend with, everyone's quick reactions managed to get the town's citizens miraculously past the worst of it mostly unscathed.

Unfortunately, their quaint little town didn't quite come out of this incident the same...

Suffice it to say, they've got their work cut out for them.
But first we should celebrate!!!
IT'S BONFIRE NIGHT!

The key to a Comfy's life is their spirit!
And so it's important to boost morale when times are rough, and celebrate every triumph! Well, so Kit says.
After the rather unexpected, and highly unprecedented, attack on the Square, it's time to take a well deserved break before repairs get underway!
With the mood high and spirits even higher, the Flame of Passion has been thoroughly fueled with new ferver and life.
Who knows what'll spawn from those sparks!

Welcome to Our First Official Event Everyone!
It's been a long time coming, but I'm so happy to be able to share it with you~!
There's already plenty to do so feel free to look around the Current Events forum! That'll be where the current active events will be from now on~ I hope to learn a lot from this event and continue to improve and make content for this species. There'll be a few more things going on whilst the event is running, so be sure to keep an eye out for future announcements regarding raffles and other potential updates! I'm excited to see where this goes, and I hope everyone can ultimately have a lovely time with this event.

Hello Hello Lil Sparks! Something's Coming Up Soon!
We're nearing our first official event! How exciting~🎉

It's been a long while but we're finally getting there! It's actually kind of wild I made it this far- (Almost a full year since the original interest check! Wild!)
All the big things have been set and done so now I'm gonna be writing up stuff for an official announcement~

The event will entail free MYOs as well as our first dive into proper ARPG & Plot based prompts in which participation will affect the event's outcome!
It'll be the first run of an event of this sort and I'm sure I'll learn a lot along the way as I have been already.
More information will be released once I get all the necessary posts written and set up~ Probably bit by bit in the species forums, I'll see!

Some ARPG prompts will require a character registered to the ML to participate, but there will also be activities and stuff to do for people who don't have any. The one thing I hope to accomplish is that everyone is able to have fun~ ^///^)/
