Updates and Reminders
1. After you’ve opened a Present, the prize is yours—if you want to give it to someone else after, you’ll need to do so manually (e.g., transferring the MYO to your friend) since the mods really need to focus on the event!
2. When you post in a Present game forum, make sure to @ ping the person above you so they know someone received the Present!
3. Don’t forget to check back through forums and open the Presents you received, or gift them to someone else!

Welcome to the official start of the Spirit of Giving Event!
WHAT IS THE SPIRIT OF GIVING EVENT?
One of the very best aspects of the holidays is giving, which is what we wanted to focus on for our holiday event. We are doing this through Presents, which are, well, randomized gifts that you can give to other users!
From today to Saturday, December 24th, you can obtain one random Present from one a Shrine of Laurel, and then you can gift it! You can't open it yourself. Here's a hint: different coloured Presents are different prizes.
Each day I will post a bulletin with the Shrine of Laurel for that day, so that you get a new reminder each day to claim a Present. You should see one in your inbox, or you can see it here! Since today's came out rather late, you can claim it throughout Sunday as well.
GIVING PRESENTS
You can give presents in a variety of ways! You can always give it to a friend, but we also have a "the person below me gets" forum game (as well as a variant for Rare Presents!) if you're looking for someone random to gift to! Presents can be traded an unlimited number of times, but you need to keep track of all of the trades with links to comments.
Please note, if you're planning to participate in this event and/or are wanting to give these gifts to others, that some gifts contain Scales or Remnants! Please become a World member* and activate a Treasury Account (and ask your friends to, as well!) so you will be able to receive Scales or Remnants without them disappearing.
*You need to be a member to comment on forums!
