Physical Appearance

• Long red-orange hair worn up in a messy ponytail that trails to his hips
• Icy blue eyes, although his right eye is completely gone/healed over magically
• Fair skinned
• Somewhat tall in height
• Average build on the somewhat slender side
• Symbols magically tattooed onto his face (they glow red when he's casting spells, otherwise they are black)
• Purple diamond symbol magically tattooed on forehead
• Skin on right hand up to mid-forearm has grayish skin and he is unable to move it anymore, although he can manually force his hand to hold objects

Clothing Style

Regan typically wears a simple black shirt along with a black and purple high collared jacket that has gold accents and fasteners. He typically wears black pants with a black belt and a gold buckle, and he usually wears either black boots when out and about or slip on shoes around his home. He has some more ornate patterned boots when doing lectures, although he doesn't often wear them while doing daily tasks. His hair tie to hold up his ponytail is a simple black band, and his glasses are black, wire-framed, and somewhat thin.

He often wears black gloves, but on his right hand he usually also wears bandages to cover the gray skin while also looping a few bandages around his arm or sleeve as spares in case his magic burns through them. He always wears a black metal pendant that is the symbol of the Charmers collective, although it's usually covered when he's wearing his jacket.

Personality

Reagan is a studious and focused man who is a touch eccentric in his pursuit for knowledge and understanding of the magical collective of the Charmers. He always tends to be very calm and collected, and he is rarely expressive with his feelings and comes off as cold and unfeeling. His excitement tends to translate into him talking more about the topic rather than becoming more energized about it, and his anger often comes off as him being a little huffy. It's easy to tell when he's irritated or annoyed though, for even though he won't get too visibly angry (or at least more so than he usually looks, since he does have a pretty solid resting bitch face) his subtle mannerisms will change and his words will certainly be sharper. Despite his seemingly apathetic and cynical tone, he can have a sense of humor, even if it is a rather sarcastic and dry one. Due to his intelligence he can be very eloquent with his words, but he tends to be very blunt when speaking to others and won't beat around the bush about delicate topics. Due to his way with words along with the Skacastavellian accent he's picked up from living there for so long, he comes off as very classy and charming when he speaks (no pun intended).

However, Reagan is also known to be incredibly stubborn and uncooperative by anyone who has worked with or near him. He becomes totally focused on his work, can completely shut out the world around him, and doesn't take kindly to interruptions. The room could be burning down around him (which has happened before) and he still wouldn't likely notice right away unless it started to interfere with his work. He tends to be very absentminded about where he leaves things and tends to be incredibly messy with his books and supplies, which his housekeeper is constantly reorganizing without him noticing, so he's under the impression that everything is perfectly in order. Due to his missing eye, Reagan is also not terribly observant of his surroundings at times, and while he's not clumsy in any sense he can sometimes be completely oblivious to certain things around him even when he's not focused on a task.

Reagan is also not very concerned with safety precautions when he's working alone, which has caused him a number of injuries, including the loss of his eye and the disabling of his right hand. When anyone other than his housekeeper is present in his workplace, he's more likely to just shoo them away rather than being more careful. He almost always forces his sister to vacate the area when he's working, since he never wants her to get hurt by his work. The two tend to butt heads on this issue since she's just as stubborn as he is, but they couldn't care more about each other. Although he doesn't show it as expressively as most people do, he does soften up a bit around his sister and has a bit more of a sense of humor around her since it tends to make her loosen up as well.

• Obsessed with his work and the pursuit of knowledge, even at the cost of his health
• Physically weak, poor eyesight, unable to use his right hand effectively, and ultimately helpless without his magic or rifting

Backstory

Reagan and his sister, Reaf, grew up in an orphanage on Taliac. They never got along with any of the other kids or the adults, and they always seemed to keep to themselves and wouldn’t cooperate with anyone other than each other. At the age of 10, Reagan was approached by a collective of magical deities, the Charmers, in the form of a book after sensing his potential for magic. He spent all his time studying the tome, ignoring any opportunity to be adopted until he decided to take his sister and run away under the protection of the Charmers. They traveled to Skacastavelle where Reagan learned much about the Charmers, along with many other branches of magic, alchemy, hexes, and various dark and ancient arts. During his years of studies, he burned out his right eye in a failed spell attempt and accidentally healed over the eye socket with a poorly executed healing spell. Years later he also badly hexed his right hand, rendering it unusable without manually adjusting the joints with his other hand. He hasn't let these injuries spoil his drive to learn more though.

Although he often buries himself in his studies and refuses to let his sister participate in learning spells until he's mastered them, he cares deeply for Reaf and would prefer to keep her out of his dangerous studies for her own good. Reagan continues his studies in Skacastavelle, although the doorway to his home has been magically connected to Regretful Ends, Yamila to allow Reaf to easily meet with him in the Eternity if needed. He's also hired a housekeeper to assist with keeping order in his chaotic workplace, a vampire named Jahnith Tasibai (he didn't learn she was a vampire until a while later, but it doesn't seem to bother him).
