Physical Appearance

• Gray/silver hair that ranges from crew-cut length to medium length
• Yellow eyes
• Tall in height
• Physically fit and well muscled
• Numerous scars across body, most visible being one on his right cheek and across the bridge of his nose
• Fair skinned with a somewhat pale complexion

Clothing Style

Mordekai's style tends to be rather well put together in general, although in comparison to his time in the military he'd say he dresses like a slob. He usually wears some kind of simple undershirt along with a jacket, sometimes a simple one and sometimes one of his old military jackets depending on his mood. He usually wears dress pants or nice slacks depending on how nice his top is, but he'll typically wear some durable boots unless he's going to an actual formal event, in which case he'll wear dress shoes. His colors tends to be dark, usually black but not always, and some of his jackets have gold and/or purple accents, which are the colors of the Daliarivon Army. Some of his military jackets still have some badges, stripes, etc., but the ones he wears out sometimes usually only have a few or none since he keeps most of them stored away for better preservation.

Personality

Mordekai can come off as a somewhat grumpy man of few words, but he's rather easy to approach and is a rather mellow and calm person to talk to. He tends to be rather serious and no-nonsense on first impressions, but he'll be more light-hearted and have a subtle sense of humor around people he's warmed up to. He always seems to be rather blunt and firm with his words even when saying nice things, and he's much more low-energy since his retirement and due to his old age. He is surprisingly still very strong and spry for an old man though, and he's not against beating down anyone dumb enough to disrespect him. He's been through enough and is so old that he doesn't put up with anything he doesn't need to anymore, and he has no desire to prove himself to anyone or tolerate anyone he doesn't deem worth the effort.

Despite his grizzled appearance and rough personality, he's easy to talk to and has a lot of wisdom and experience to offer good advice to anyone willing to take the time to get to know him. He oddly enough seems to be well liked among various young adults, especially in Daliarivon, both for his approachability and he hasn't lost much of his touch when it comes to combat. He also is close friends with De Jack Zilvas, so he has favor among both mortals and demons. He tends to keep to himself and mind his own business as often as he can, but he'll try to help anyone that approaches him if they deserve it. He always seems to keep a level head and doesn't get surprised easily anymore, and he tends to have an open mind and is unbiased about most topics. He's not one to jump to conclusions and remains nonjudgmental, letting a person's actions determine his opinion of them.

• Although still strong and fit, he has slowed down a bit with age and tends to push himself too hard with the same expectations from his younger years

Backstory

Mordekai Wales is a demon who has lived since the Eternity was young. He doesn't talk about his past in great detail to just anyone, but it's obvious he spent his youth learning to use various firearms and combat techniques from some demonic mentor he doesn't call by name. At some point when the First War raged across the Eternity, Mordekai and various other demons were pivotal in the formation of the Daliarivon Army when Lord Dalia's forces were waning against Shana, the Demriles, and the Enlightened. Up until the second half of this war, the demons remained uninvolved with the conflict, but this group of demons managed to start a movement to fight against the Army of Darkness when it became apparent that their forces would move to occupy Daliarivon once Lord Dalia's Court was captured. Due to his leadership and importance in the movement, Mordekai was appointed as General of the army, and their forces were key in aiding Lord Dalia's forces in the final battle at Dalia's Gates.

In the following peace after the First War, he continued to maintain the order of the army and apparently married and had a family at some point. Unfortunately he ended up outliving them, since his time in the army serving alongside so many powerful demons had caused his demonic aura to grow so strong that his longevity was increased beyond what he expected. He ended up living with his long chain of descendants for many generations before finally withdrawing from the world and taking on a relatively solitary life with only his responsibilities to the Daliarivon Army keeping him afloat for millennia. The Army was very rarely active, since there were few threats to Daliarivon as a whole, and after many millennia Mordekai because listless and disillusioned.

In recent years, he encountered a high ranked official of the Daliarivon Army named Dremvati Drinity in Emdrica who was incredibly enthusiastic about the organization and his own history with it. On a whim, Mordekai decided to give her the job as General so he could finally retire, and he ignored the minor upset from the rest of the army officials so he could finally do whatever he wanted with his life. He tends to frequent Emdrica Fly and the bar in That-One-Town, Xyarok, keeping up with his close friend De Jack Zilvas and also keeping a close eye on Torenn Rendelva in Xyarok. After hearing from Jack that Torenn has become a target of the Enlightened and the rising forces of the Demriles, he has decided to watch over the young man, who is now working at the bar and tying to keep a low profile while surrounded by a bunch of angry, drunk, overprotective demons (Mordekai included).
