Profile

Physical Appearance

  • Long mahogany hair that trails past his shoulders, sometimes wears it up in a ponytail or bun
  • Red eyes
  • Fair skinned with a tan
  • Three line markings under left eye and across cheek (see refs)
  • Eight piercings per ear; 4 upper, 4 lower
  • Sharp canines and nails
  • 6'6" in height
  • Physically fit with somewhat muscled build/scrappy build
    • In public he always morphs his body to be that of a woman of approximately the same build with a boy-ish but still slightly more feminine figure

Clothing Style

Neridalt typically dresses in the traditional style of those from Neonika, although he integrates more outside influences once he leaves home. The colors he gravitates toward tend to be warmer colors, especially reds and browns, and he tends to wear outfits made for warmer weather, which tends to mean he rarely covers himself entirely. He still prefers long sleeves and pants, but they usually have cutouts in them/are cropped in some way. He has a somewhat "feminine" style, since he came from an almost entirely female society, but usually tends to dress rather gender-neutrally and comes off as rather androgynous (when he's not specifically trying to look like a woman).

For footwear he tends to wear boots of some kind, and he tends to wear a headband to (poorly) hold his bangs back. Any accessories he wears tend to be made of leather or are handcrafted, sometimes including things like claws, fangs, feathers, etc... and he's not particularly fond of metal accessories for some reason. Gemstones on the other hand are pretty rad. The clasp he wears with the long dark-mahogany colored cloak he usually wears while traveling is gold with a diamond shaped red gemstone in the center.

Personality

Neridalt has a rather energetic and outgoing personality, and he can be a bit of a troublemaker but is always eager to experience new things and find excitement. He could be described as rather feminine since he was raised in an entirely female community, but anyone from his tribe would describe him similarly to a "tomboy," meaning he strikes a good balance in between. He likes to explore and push the boundaries, and he's not all that good at following rules. He's capable of respecting his elders or other figures of authority, but in most cases he'll be just as irreverent and teasing with them as he is with anyone. He enjoys playing pranks on others though, although he'll never do anything that could obviously cause any degree of physical harm. When around any friends who join in on his antics, he'll usually end up pushing the blame onto them, although it's usually sarcastic enough that it's obvious enough he acknowledges his own responsibility for whatever happens. He might whine over-dramatically about it, but Neridalt doesn't tend to actually avoid the consequences of his actions, both for the silly and the serious.

Since Neridalt was never allowed to leave his village, upon sneaking out to go to Emdrica, he's become rather culture-shocked but is very much eager to learn about everything he's been missing out on. He tends to be more fascinated by men, simply because he's only lived around women his entire life, but he relates to women more easily. He also tends to get excited about anything new and seems to describe almost every person he comes across as beautiful, even those who most wouldn't consider appealing in the slightest. Neridalt doesn't have really a sense of any society's definition of beauty, which makes him a pretty easy person to approach since he never judges anyone by their appearance and only on their actions.

Abilities

  • Can Morph into anyone who has, is, or ever will be along with tapping into their memories and skillsets, but only if he observes them thoroughly enough
  • Can also clone himself indefinitely, with each of these clones capable of Morphing at his normal capacity
  • Raynbo rifting - rank 1/5
  • Virtually immortal and can recover from normally fatal injuries relatively quickly
  • Extremely high pain tolerance

Strengths

  • Energetic, headstrong, and outgoing
  • Easy to approach, nonjudgmental, and adapts well to change
  • Clever, quick witted, observant, and resourceful
  • Flexible, agile, well balanced, and has quick reflexes

Weaknesses

  • A touch naive and lacks experience/knowledge with the world outside his hometown
  • Impressionable, easily distracted, and has trouble sitting still for too long
  • Although not maliciously so, he tends to be dishonest about himself in most cases
  • Over-dramatic, easily excitable, and irreverent

Backstory

For all the Eternity knows, Neridalt should not exist.

He apparently has lived in the Neonikaian tribe of Nanika his entire life until recently when he appears on Emdrica, where he encounters Neoka Emtratika. Neoka refers to Neridalt as his "cousin," and Neridalt is disguising himself as a woman using his morphing abilities to bring less attention to himself. It is common knowledge that Nanikans are an all female race, and a male only appears every once in a great while. These males are always gifted with the ability to morph like their legendary ancestor, Nanikai Emtratika. Neoka is publicly known as the current Morpher, and it would cause quite the commotion if word got out there was more than one Morpher for the first time in history.

Neridalt isn't interested in all the attention, both positive and negative, that Neoka deals with for his reputation. He's only interested in seeing the Eternity, which his tribe has kept him sheltered from all his life. Things seem to be going smoothly so far with everyone believing "she" is just Neoka's relative visiting him for the first time, but who knows how long that cover may last.

  • I can't elaborate too much about Neridalt since it's kinda a spoiler, but I suppose it's not that much of a spoiler even if I did say it.
  • He was originally meant to be a super minor character in Neoka's backstory and then later adjusted to be more important to the plotline. He still barely got any "screentime" though, so I figured someone who played a key role in the plot should spend more time with the readers. He's been changed from staying at Nanika and reappearing in the last few chapters to traveling to Emdrica and spending more time with Neoka to be more relevant.
  • He was also supposed to die and pretty much contribute nothing but more angst for Neoka, but that didn't really seem meaningful or fair, so I'm gonna do more with him instead. XP
  • Neridalt meets Kel in Emdrica when he's 25 years old, and he just happens to bump into him in the city square. For some reason, Neridalt's first instinct upon seeing him was to remark, "Wow, you're beautiful." Somehow this didn't scare Kel off, especially since Kel developed a fear and suspicion toward Nanikans in general due to bad experiences with them in his past. Kel was still very wary of him, but Neridalt didn't really pick up on that at all.
