Profile
“Sometimes I’m asked by ignorant homophobes whether I ‘struggle’ with same-sex attraction. My answer is always the same: ‘No, I quite enjoy it!’”
[DRAFT] Iris is loud, proud, and very gay. She is the most resilient Elemental according to herself, able to withstand any obstacle thrown at her. She laughs off her troubles, yet her ability to laugh everything off is a double-edged sword. She laughs off genuine suggestions, and other people have trouble changing her mind. She almost as stubborn and stuck in her ways as Ophelia, but because she's happy as a default rather than annoyed, most people don't mind. She's as light-hearted as her girlfriend Ophelia is serious, yet somehow they make their relationship work. The power of lesbianism, I guess.

Design Notes
[DRAFT] This is what gay looks like. Iris is bursting with rainbows! Rainbows line her dress, rainbows color her hair, even her valence marks form a rainbow (multicolored valence marks are quite rare). Rainbows aside (that's already at least half her outfit), her jacket is the color of iridium metal. Her yellow tights and headband reference the yellow tint of iridium metal, and the yellow color of iridium hexafluoride (and a lot of other iridium compounds–yellow seems to be a common color for iridium compounds). Her black shoes reference iridium dioxide, and her hair is naturally dark brown-black to represent both iridium dioxide and ammonium hexachloroiridate(IV) and/or iridium tetrachloride. Her headband and necklace both contain fragments of meteorites, like the iridium-rich asteroid that killed the dinosaurs. (No hard feelings toward the dinosaurs!). Her necklace also contains sapphires, as iridium crucibles can be used to make sapphires for technology applications. The sapphires are star sapphires as another reference to iridium in meteorites. Also, sapphire, sapphic, because, you know, she's gay. Her outfit is as fashionable as the rest of the platinum group metals, but her style is more unconventional. Continuing the old movie vibe that all the PGMs seem to have, I swear she looks like an overly optimistic 50's housewife. Except for being gay, of course. Her lipstick is a different color in her full-body vs face sketch, but this is not a mistake. She probably never wears the same lipstick color twice.
