Julas's Links
"Raze... Ever since we were children, you've had everything good for you. Everything has to be about you, all the time... Nobody even cares to know about me or what I do! It's always 'Raze is so amazing' and 'Oh, your brother is the best' -- it's just you, you, YOU, and YOU! I'm sick of being 'Raze's Brother'-- I am myself! I am Julas Miven! If you only knew how much you've taken away from me. You cause all of these headaches for even your superiors, and yet they keep you, and that I will never understand. I await the day the Grand General has no more use for you. I will be laughing at your downfall, every step of the way."
"Ah, Julas, my little brother! You're definitely more closed-off and snappy than you used to be. You were a lot nicer when we were kids, you know. I wonder why that changed... Oh, well. I guess working on buildings and statues and stuff earns you a stick up the ass. Hahaha, I'm kidding, I'm kidding! I think you should loosen up! Maybe one of these days we should get a drink together! Won't hurt, right?"
"Vill, you were my only ally, the one person I could always count on -- why? Why did you leave me behind to fend for myself? Everything continues to grow worse, and the shadow keeps crawling over me -- You abandoned me here! I can't forgive you for that, and I won't!"
"Julas... Noxus is not where my destiny lies. I can only say sorry. I know that you are struggling, but I have enough confidence in you that you can conquer these things. You took good care of me when I was younger... That should count for something. I hope that you do not resent me too much for this..."
"Just a puppet they put in charge for careless fools like Raze. I care not for this one, but I do hope that one day he is ordered to do something about my nuisance of a brother..."
"I do not often concern myself with my lieutenant's family, but I am aware of his younger brother. He is not so fond of me, but that hardly matters."
“Don’t patronize me, you little pest. Do NOT forget that you’re still dealing with a Miven, a being who can easily overpower you. Don’t think for a second that you’re better than me, you worthless weakling. To you I can almost relate, but doing so leaves a bad taste in my mouth.”
"Julas! If it isn't my second, no third favorite Miven brother! How are you doing? Oh... you look upset! Well I was kidding anyways, you're definitely my favorite. Yeah, even though you're shorter than your brothers and you know... probably less well equipped but hey! Who's measuring that kind of stuff? Hey, if you ever need a job or something I've got you covered! You're just tall enough to reach my spellbooks so maybe, just maybe... you can be my assistant. Just give it a thought, yeah?"
"Another Miven... I guess he's cute in like... a wet dog way. Annoying as all hell though. He needs to move on and just. Dye his hair or something. Just do something a little silly."
“Not going there anymore. Raze ruins everything for me.”
"He used to be a regular whenever I went to Noxus! Now all he does is just scowl and glare from a distance, I gotta be honest, I'll miss the profit I got from this one"
“I am rather skeptical about you, Seulki. Any wise man would be. Though, perhaps some jump to conclusions too quickly? We will see… Do keep in touch.”
"Poor, poor Julas. Everyone overlooks you and your potential, I understand how you feel. No one back in Ionia understood me so I left to make my own mark on the world, but I shouldn't bore you with details of my past. You could be great, you just need a little push! Give me just a few drops of your blood and I promise, I swear to you that we'll change things. You could become the most powerful man in Noxus with my help."
Julas huffed and turned away from her. “She’ll get what is coming to her,” he said softly to himself.
"I do not conversate with weaklings. Either make the choices you wish to make in life and become strong or die like the rest of the cannon fodder." She brushes him off and rolls her eyes.
“Absolutely not. I would not gather with the likes of you.”
“You know, Julas? You ought to go out with me and Raze one of these nights. I bet with a little help, we could probably get you lucky.”
Julas is unable to process what had just happened. This large, intimidating woman had approached him, and somehow, knew his feelings on the matters he struggled with most. He wanted to retort, wanted to say how he did not need anyone’s advice or pity; but no words could find their way past his lips.
"I understand your resentment, young one. I know how it feels to not have your judgement taken seriously. Still.. you are young. You have time to blossom into something that will surpass the opinions of any who would doubt you. Do not give up hope, your hard work will pay off." She gives him a soft smile as she disappears into the night, leaving him to sit with her wisdom.
“My projects are those involving the most select, striking, influential, and prodigious buildings and structures in this sublime and impressive city of Noxus Prime. I’m afraid that I have no time to leave this city, let alone use up my time on less than efficacious enterprises…” Julas hummed, not at all impressed with the idea of using his talents on a run-down Zaunite tavern.
"Have you ever considered taking jobs outside of Noxus? My bar is practically falling apart and I could use a hand fixing it! I don't really know my way around a pair of tools." She chuckles as she examines the man's features, noticing that he bears a striking resemblance to her best friend.
“I am uncertain what to do with this information you have provided me…but rest assured, there are no shark jaws for me to waltz into around here, thank you…” The woman was off-putting, but Julas thought little of her.
"You remind me of an ex-lover I had. He had too much pride in his ability to survive and was eaten by the sharks." She clicks her tongue as she shakes her head disapprovingly. "I told him not to venture out into the wreckage but that's men for you, they would rather swim into the maw of a shark than listen to another voice."
Normally, Julas would have ignored her and went on with his day, but the mere glimpse of the blueprint caught his attention. “Oh— This is quite well done. Though, I could make a few necessary suggestions…”
She waves Julas down as she notices him walking the pier, grabbing his attention and walking over to him. "You're an architect, yeah?" She creates a small miniature version of her plans for a home back in Sharuhen in her hand out of glass and shows it off to him. "What do you think of it? Does it look stable enough?"
“Ah, right. Another Noxian sibling, lost… That seems to be a trend here. An unwelcome one. I can only recall that same pain.”
"I know him well enough to know there isn't much worth in keeping tabs on him. He's rather dull, unfortunately. The most interesting thing about him is that he subscribes to some sort of... architectural magazine? I do not pretend to understand the subject."
Julas scoffed and studied the man with slight disgust in his eyes. "Oh, please. I would rather be anywhere else than this drag of an event you've barely pieced together." Julas shuddered at the thought of once again witnessing the uncensored statue of his older brother.
Cyran looked the middle Miven over and slightly crinkled his nose. "Julas. I did not expect you to attend my banquet...especially when you're dressed like that..."
“Just another one of the common rabble. Street performing is not something I care for; trivial and mediocre tricks for meager coins and change. What a way to live; a dismal way to live! I almost pity the girl.”
"I've taken more pleasant shits than this guy. He's not bad but not all good either. He really didn't seem to appreciate our show. What do you think, Dhaval? Can we prank him?" The demon nods affirmatively and bares his fangs. "We will make sure to make him laugh."
“I’ve heard of this one. How tragic, I suppose. Hm. It hardly has anything to do with me, but I suppose if he truly cannot find a place to settle in… he looks like he could lift very heavy things.”
“You wretched ghoul… I may be slightly tempted by your offer, but I fail to see the use it would have for me. You best try your luck elsewhere, filthy lich.”
“You are a man most proud and haughty, yet you bear a heavy burden. You are alone; or better said, you have been left behind. You bear the weight of life; the weight of a whole world on your shoulders that is not your own. These burdens can be lifted if you open your ears, open you heart to the song of undeath…”
“Get OUT — of my SIGHT.”
The spirit examined him very closely "You are... almost what my lord and I are looking for...! A shame, if only you were taller and stronger... you wouldn't happen to know anyone that matches that exact description, would you?"
"An entertainer? No. Just another streetwalker. He is nothing to me."
"Cool tunic. A shame that what lies underneath it is so... underwhelming. You'd have to pay me to even consider taking it off."
Julas' eye twitched. He stood up from his chair and heavily placed his hands on his desk. "I changed my mind. You forget about who my family is, you ignorant bear. How about you leave my office with your worthless merchandise and your even more valueless self before I remove you? And I'll do it MYSELF. You look easy to throw."
"The third most well known Miven sibling...! So... unremarkable, how does it feel, hm? At least the other two are doing something worthwhile while you... you're just, here. Maybe stop obsessing over how inferior you are to everyone around you and start doing something productive? Just a thought. Who will remember a "noble" who only stays inside his office all day long while his brother is out there actually achieving his goals? You're just setting yourself up for failure... as for my reason for being here, I simply came to deliver an order. Will that be cash or credit?"
“Your mystery is compelling, Eriselle. Dare I say, you may be the best mage in all of Noxus.”
While Julas' brother was a nuisance to her, she did not mind Julas himself. "I would not be surprised to hear it."
“All of Noxus knows who she is and what she has done. I favor her greatly; and she respects me in turn. In fact, she hired me to design the extensions on her innovation lab. I feel like there is much to learn from her… Much to learn.”
“Julas is a talented architect. He is not at all the most kindly person; not even close; but he deserves more respect for his craft. I will continue to hire him for more projects.”
“Lady Eleftheria is definitely a more notable face among the soldiers of Noxus to me, even if she is a part of Raze’s little band. I have no quarrel with someone who appreciates the work and process that goes into my constructions. Perhaps one day she will request some type of project of me. I would gladly accept.”
"I know that I shouldn't but I feel bad for him. Maybe if my dream ever does come true... he could have a place on Kyren. We'd need help rebuilding and his skills are just what we would need. That would be better than any glory Raze could bring to Noxus."
“Bahati is an artist through and through. It is easy to spot her work whenever I just so happen to encounter one with ink on their skin. Plus, I’m quite aware that she recognizes the complexity and beauty of my own work… I respect that. It would be wrong to ignore such beauty and talent, not to mention one that respects me in turn. I am not one to wish for a tattoo, but if I could, I would receive one from her.”
"Where do I even begin? Julas is... the most special man in Noxus. His architectural prowess is near impossible for the small minded to understand and his impeccable sense of style causes other men to die with envy. His horns are sharp yet his mind his sharper. One time, he even told me that I looked nice. Me! He said that to me! Can you believe it?? He's such a nice guy! More than anything, I want him to know that I understand him. He and I? We're so alike! We're both artists, we both have an older brother that makes us want to rip our hair out and we're both attractive young people who look good at all times! Do you think Julas likes the beach...?"
