PROFILE

The world of Alt! Impar is most certainly a different world compared to Pokémon World. As it stands, the world of Impar is one that is not only filled with Pokémon and humans. Oh no. Demons, angels and all kinds of oddities exist within this universe. However, to avoid disturbing the order of the world, these beings keep themselves in realms that rest opposite of Impar, only visiting the realm if they wish to explore the unknown. However, one has to wonder how Impar itself was created. We do know Arceus and Mew were involved in the process, but few are aware of what created this world. There are theories, but most are proven wrong. The answer itself is quite simple.

The plates are how the world was created.

These elemental spirits gave the ingredients needed for a world to be born. Their mere presence inspired the world to adapt to what was needed. They gave Pokemon their type and the legends that once held them the powers they would be known for. However, for decades, many regarded these spirits as nothing more than tools for Rose. They thought that they lacked sentience and the ability to feel human emotions. These mortals were wrong in their assumption. Oh, so wrong.

Here we have Yul. Yul is the Sky Plate and has the title of the Flying Spirit. There was once a time that Yul was in love with a human named Holly. Holly was one he was willing to spend the rest of his life with and did whatever he can to protect her as well as made her feel loved. However, all of that came to a end when Tornadus would destroy the village he planned on living in with the female. With the destruction of the village came the loss of the Holly and those who helped built it. Since then, Yul gained a bitterness towards love and anything relating to the female. Will he ever find love again? There's always that chance that he can with Agatha's help.....

PERSONALITY

Here we have Yul. Although his outward manner can be described as flamboyant and egotistical, the male has shown a level of dedication to his friends. Most of the Petals described the male as being the "Princely" type. He often enjoyed entertaining others with upper-class etiquette and flattery. However, Yul is indifferent and cruel when he's in battle. Often bantering, his wordplay leans towards the constant use of sexual lingo to tease enemy and friends alike. In some ways, he is a classy version of Kai. Because of his charm, he is used to seeing men and women (as well as those of varying genders), young and old alike, fall for him. As a result, he gets caught off guard by those immuned to his charm. He can be sly and crafty when the situation demands it.

Despite being fully aware of the inner workings of romance in general, he is ironically blind to his feelings of Agatha, of which the Petals are completely aware. This could relate to Yul's own fear when it comes to love. He harbors a great fear of getting close to anyone after the death of a human that he has grown close to. He is a rather-sensitive and vulnerable when it comes to talking about anything relating to them or love itself. It's why he tends to focus on the sexual aspect of love than the romantic part. It makes avoiding his pain so much easier.

Appearance

Yul stands at the height of 6'2 ft (187.96 cm) tall. Weighing 167.2 lbs (75.9 kg), Yul has an average built with some muscles here and there. With pale skin, the male has a orange goatee that he occasionally trims when he feels it's getting a bit too long for his liking. His hair is a orange with white tip with a braid resting in front of his shoulders. There are two strands on top of his hair that stand up like fox-like ears. His eyes are shown to light blue though they can appear to be a lighter blue depending on how far you are from him.

Yul's attire consists of a white uniform short with a striped blue vest (with white buttons) over it. His vest partially cover his black pants. Fixed on his feet are black dress shoes. Often with him is his companion, Aer. Aer is small, chubby bat like creature with black fur with a pointed tail. The tiny beast has orange horns, matching color wings and dots on his forehead. The creature comes up to his knees.

Design NOTES

  • Aer is capable of taking on a much larger form that can be seen here. This is the form he takes whenever he's in battle or if Yul is in need of a ride.
  • Tattooed on his shoulder is a black and white Jasmines. These are meant to be in remembrance of the woman (Holly) he first fell in love with and a reminder of his failures.
  • You'll never seen Yul without his suit. He refuses to wear anything other than that as he views casual clothes as being too informal for his taste.
    • On that same note, you will never see this man with a tie since he feels that simply too extra to him. To him, he feels it's too formal. God knows how a tie of all things can be too formal, given what he chose to wear.
  • When it's out of its usual braid, Yul's hair comes down to the middle of his back.
    • Speaking of his braid, he very rarely pulls it out of it as having his hair down reminds that Holly typically likes it when his hair is down.
  • On Yul's back is a hand that appears to be leaking at the bottom with a eye on the palm.
    • The mark is meant to symbolize his connection to Agatha. This is Agatha's personal symbol.
  • Scars can be found on his back from the last time he came into contact with Tornadus when he destroyed the village he was making with Holly. He doesn't like anyone looking at it or even mention how they exist.
  • It should be noted that Yul does occasionally paints his nails at times. Most of the time, he tends to have them either blue and white depending on his mood.
  • As far as his beard growth goes, he can only really achieve as much of a goatee. It's something he doesn't mind given the fact it makes trimming it pretty easy.

Materialized Guardian

Of course, this wouldn't be the plates without at least having some partner creature. Yul has the ability to summon a guardian that protects him at all costs and fights on his behalf. The guardian's strength is driven by the Yul's will. For Yul, his guardian takes the form of Aer. Aer has a larger form he can take when needed (in fact it's a form always goes into in battle). This form is one that Yul uses as a mount. Yul can summon portions of Aer into his body, such as his wings and tail, in order to reduce energy consumption needed to summon him. It should be noted that damage inflicted on Aer is reflected onto the Yul and Aer does have self-awareness. The latter can lead to Aer not listening to Yul if he manages to piss him off. Due to this, Yul tries to avoid getting on Aer's bad side.

Air Manipulation

Air Manipulation is an ability that was bestowed to Yul due to his wind affinity. With this power, the male is able to create, shape and manipulate air. For Yul,, the male uses his wind manipulation in various ways. He is able to use them in fly, move at speeds that can rival Zap through the use of jet propulsion and even create hurricanes with them. These are only just a few of the things the male can do, and the fact the male is continually learning to use this power as a means to assist Aer during battle or better protect himself.

Aerokinetic Combat

Aer (and Yul) are well-adept in Aerokinetic Combat. This power allows for Aer to utilize air manipulation with his physical combat, granting both high maneuverability and elemental attacks. For Aer, he uses it for primarily Air Defense (the ability to possesses defensive skills that are enhanced by wind powers, allowing them to block, parry, dodge, etc. with the power of air/wind) and Aerial Combat Mastery (the ability to fight during flight, and commonly familiarized with flying, gliding, levitating, etc. during physical challenges between opponents). Combined with Yul's own ability, the two can be a deadly combination when they fight together as Aer tends to focus on defense while Yul focuses on offense.

Flying Moves

Being the flying plate, Yul has accessed to flying moves. The male does not have accessed to legendary signature moves, flying z-moves and Beak Blast. The male favorite move is “Hurricane”. It makes sense for Hurricane to be Yul's favorite move as the move itself can be deadly when it’s raining due to the damage caused and the accuracy. Yul does possess a few supporting moves and misc moves that are meant to assist Aer in battle while Aer does seem to possess a few interesting moves himself such as Fire Blast.

LIKES

  • Napping. All there's nothing like taking a day off and napping underneath the shade of a tree on a beautiful day.
  • Sex. Hey. It's true. He enjoys the occasional one nights and what not. It makes it easier not to think about Holly.
  • Aer. God, he loves his chubby cutie espesically when he makes those cute noises.

DISLIKES

  • Jasmines. Those flowers remind him of the person he once fell in love since those were his favorite flowers.
  • Romantic Love. It brings up too many bad memories, man.
  • Failure. Just the thought of failing to accomplish something really makes him distress.

TRIVIA

  • The idea of him losing someone he loved is meant to be a reflection of what Mi dealt with the difference being Yul will never see that persona again.
  • Yul is meant to play off the idea of how one grieves and refuses to move on.
  • I did take the time to expand Yul's character a bit more while I worked on his profile.
  • If Yul had a canon voice, it would sound like this.
