  • Miho Oshiro (mom); Miho was the one who has always been home more frequently, and so Kana has a very close relationship with Miho due to this. The two of them bond over the dangerous natures of their respective professions and often nag one another. Kana has a sweeter nature than Miho, but it is not unheard of for their similarities to show in their tempers and their unwillingness to judgepeople based on rumor or speculation, which Kana has admired and tried to emulate from Miho.
  • Katsumi Arashiro (mama); Kana thinks of her mama asa a superhero for most of her life, taking great delight and comfort in Kat's willingness to keep things lighthearted and prevent her from getting into her head. She really deeply appreciates Kat, and Kana will often visit her at work or feed into Kat's antics.
  • Akira Oshiro (uncle); Her uncle as well as her biological father via sperm donation! Akira was around often in Kana's childhood, even though he got busier as she grew up. Akira's medical issues aaren't ones that could be passed down, but Akira does often worry about her and checks in on her health to make sure she doesn't develop his problems. He is one of her biggest supporters, though, which Kana has always appreciated.
• FRIENDS;;—
  • Honoka Matsumoto (best friend); Her closest female friend, Kana and Honoka met in middle school due to being in the same classes. Having the same interests led to them both being in their school's robotics club, and they imprinted on one another instantly. They have been joined atthe hip ever since and often still collaborate on projects and work together on freelance work outside of their friendship.
  • Kaoru Nakajima (best friend); Kana has known Kaoru since middle school and has been a part of his physical development since she was in hghschool simply due to her proximity to Kaoru's 'mother'. The two of them are very close and Kana will sometimes forget that Kaoru is an AI that learned on his own and not just another human classmate. She's very protective of Kaoru as well and checks in on him often to make sure that he's doing alright and that he doesn't need maintenance.
  • Chihiro Nakajima (mentor); The instructor that oversaw Kana's middle school robotics club, Chihiro is an older woman with a brain fit for problem solving and an eye for talent. Kana was already brilliant as a middle schooler, and Chihiro encouraged her to continue cultivating her skills and would provide her with pieces-parts she needed for her projects as well as giving her a second opinion on projects. When Kana graduated, the two remained friends and Kana would often reach out to Chihiro for her opinion on projects.
  • Taiki Hanamusa (boyfriend); Kana adores Taiki whole-heartedly. She does her best to support him in his endeavors, musically or otherwise, and often finds herself fretting over him when he gets too stressed. She likes to try and offset that energy as best she can, going out of her way to try to make him smile whenever she gets the chance- even if it's mostly just because she likes to see him smile.
  • Eisaku Izumi (friend); Kana and Eisaku get on like a house on fire, with Kana's excitability and willingness to cheer on Eisaku's dramatics as well as her happily supplying him with a robotic body to customize quite genuinely whenever he wants it. She cares about him a lot, and finds herself acting sisterly towards him whenever the two of them interact.
  • Keiji Furukawa (friend?); Keiji may not consider them as such, but Kana likes to think that the two of them are at least friendly on the grounds that they interact semi-frequently due to their mutual relationships with Kaoru. If nothing else, Keiji is like the black cat that comes around that steals her tablet and some food from the workshop minifridge and peeksover her shoulder, so that's basically friendship.

  • Narumi Yamaguchi (-); An old, ex-friend of Kana's. A dorky, smart kid with too much pride for his own good and an unwillingness to face his own mistakes- he hurt Kana in a way she will never recover from, and she feels bitter when she thinks of him.
