Grim's health is a large part of their personality, the limitations of their body affect much of what he does. He is often tired, something that shows on his face and in his actions. He isn't one to spend time on things where a faster method is needed, seeking out efficiency from a direct need more than a desire. The limits of Grim's energy often leave the mhoat feeling listless when his energy does run dry, he never knows what he wants to do and rarely knows what he can do entirely on his own. With the help of others, he finds his world freer, dependent upon kindness and company in his day-to-day life. This makes Grim the type to pull close friends but then to pull even closer to family. Where others might squabble with siblings, Grim is the picture of patience where his siblings test him, and always seems to know when his brothers need something without their saying so.

• Grim suffers from a magic deficiency, this makes it difficult for him to digest food and form silk at the same rate other mhoats do. This inability to digest food means he has to eat food that is broken down such as smoothies, broths, and sometimes unpleasant-tasting forms of protein when his body needs a little boost. The limitations to his diet and the ability of his body to absorb it means he often appears and feels worn down and tired, his body even looking somewhat malnourished as his magic state signals itself in a physical manner.
• Due to his illness, Grim spent many days inside while he was young and discovered reading as a means to escape the dull daily life delivered to him. As he grew older and learned to read and write it became a therapeutic activity that allowed him to expand his world through imaginative means. Unsurprisingly, this passion turned into a career that allows him to live in relative comfort even though he shares a home with his brother Aquarius.
