• Works as an artificer, which means he takes magic materials and uses them to create uniquely crafted items that fulfill a specific purpose. He was the one who created Shimmer's camera and often works with Opal Mae to refurbish old and broken magical items they find beneath the waves so they can make a profit off the resulting item. Much of his day-to-day work is focused on the repair and upkeep of magical items that mhoats bring to him, but he always craves a good challenge to create something new and unique.
• He runs a stall in the market which is open in the mornings but returns to his workshop in the afternoons to work on custom orders and repairs. The wards that protect his workshop from destruction due to magic backlash are maintained by Zombee, a childhood friend who visits often with new information and sometimes materials they find when out searching for new spirits to summon. Retro finds their obsession with spirit summoning a bit strange but looks the other way since the information they find often helps with his work or improves the wards Zombee looks after for his workshop.
