Luka didn't think he'd ever make it to the big leagues with his guitar work. If anything, he was surprised anyone wanted him for a band AT ALL: suffice to say, he was pretty self conscious. Luka only started to visually transition in his second year of high school, cutting his hair shorter and wearing boxier clothes. At the time he met Franky he was binding his chest with bandage and tape. This caused him several health issues in the future including back pain and breathing difficulty. Thankfully after the band took off it was easier to transition under the noses of people who never knew him as anything other than "one of the boys."

His persona of "The Freak" was self-made in response to disliking the original zombie themeing for the band proposed by Franky and KT. While he had been there and been dressed up the night this was decided, he was never a big fan of the stitched makeup and felt like a mask and a striking outfit was more his speed. "Freak" was originally a nickname to himself for being the most "human" zombie, but over time he felt more and more comfortable with the aesthetic and changed his outfit to match. The name stuck, though, and he continued to be known by fans as "Freak" or "The Freak." We would sometimes play this up by acting freaky or scary in photos or music videos or even on stage.

Luka's early experience in the band was that of constantly looking up to Franky's versatility and passion. He felt as though he owed everything to him, so he was often picking up extra tasks when the band called for it. This gave him the status of being dependable, and was soon connected so deeply to the two original members he was basically one of them. He booked shows, played shows, sold merch and more all while trying to graduate high school.

Learning keyboard later on for the band proved to be a struggle for Luka. He felt as though his fingers just couldn't glide as effectively over the keys as they could over guitar strings, but the struggle ended with the addition of Waylon and Solomon, two brothers who changed the band forever. Playing bass was already a downgrade for him on a personal level, so being moved to lead guitar felt like the promotion he needed. No more keyboard and no more bass guitar. His skill with guitar was finally able to be heard, and Franky was pushed to rhythm, which he felt helped keep track of his vocals better than lead. The only reason Luka was on bass to begin with was because Franky couldn't play it to save his life.

His top surgery scars are often exaggerated by his makeup in current times due to him finally having the balls to come out post-mortem. previously he'd always worn a shirt on stage, or at least something covering his chest area. While Luka did not really have a connection to KT like Franky, he mourned with him as they were brought on to Earth 2 without him. It felt incredibly weird to be without someone who had been such a deep presence in his life for so many years despite not knowing much about him. He has moved back to his position as bass guitarist, and nothing really feels right anymore.
