Red Signal Toyhouse Folder

Glimmer is the main protagonist and player character of Red Signal. The plot revolves around her waking up alone in the mansion she seems to call home, with absolutely no memory of who or where she is. The mansion is filled with robots that seem to take care of everything that assistants normally would, and none of them seem very eager to explain anything to her.

As she explores the house a little more, she relearns what most of the robots do. Dimitri is her main confidant, a robot in charge of organization and upkeep of the mansion, as well as providing any emergency medical assistance someone may need. Dimitri was the first to greet her when she woke, and is just as eager as her to figure out what happened. She also befriends Mabel, who pops up when no one else is around to provide Glimmer with information about herself and the others that they seem hesitant to share. Mabel uses this information to gain Glimmer's trust, adn is always by her side, only hiding when other robots come near. Glimmer assumes Mabel is just shy and doesn't push the issue.

Throughout the story, Glimmer does not have their signature wings or antennae. They return only in the ending where Glimmer fully regains her memories. In every other ending, Glimmer is hopelessly lost both figuratively and literally, trapping herself within the mansion digging through a past she can never reclaim.

Flicker is Glimmer's brother, and the main thing she is hiding in her memories. Glimmer made attempts to help Flicker through his troubles, but continuously made the problem worse. Flicker is now broken down and deactivated, hidden deep within the mansion in a corner no one dares approach. To regain her memories, Glimmer must confront the consequences of her actions and find Flicker.

Through most of the game, Glimmer is quiet and reserved. Not having any of her memories makes her hesitant to do almost anything, as she's not sure if she should recognize the people she talks to, or if something in the mansion is dangerous. She tries to help and befriend the robots, but most seem distrusting of her, making her even more hesitant to investiage what kind of person she was. The only people that seem to believe in her are Dimitri and Mabel.

In the endings where Glimmer does not regain her memories, she becomes panicked and chaotic. She would do anything to finally solve these mysteries, even if it causes harm to her or others. The robots become hesitant to approach her, leaving her to dissolve deeper into her madness. Mabel seems to encourage this behavior, and will actively guide her towards these endings.

In the ending where Glimmer regains her memories, she also regains her confidence and personality. She has a no-nonsense mindset, not wanting to fool around or take things lightly. She is determined and stubborn, and does not hesitate to retaliate against those who tried to prevent her from achieving her goals. She regains her wings and antennae, recovering her true form and power. She does not remain friends with anyone else in the mansion.
