Hantel

The premise...

Two Ant colonies, embroiled in a bitter war against each other. Not unusual for Ant colonies, save that these are the only two populations in all of Hantel - Heaven and Hell, forever sharing a battlefield, resources, and a world. The center of the conflict began, supposedly, around the treatment of gyne, though in reality the squabble runs deeper. As every Ant in Hantel is a lesser god, their lifespans are long and arduous.

There are two main "timepoints" of Hantel: pre- and post-Merge. All characters' profiles will be split to show this difference (hopefully, if I get around to it). There is about 2,000 years between these main points, with the ending of the war signifying the shift from pre- to post-.

The main characters...

Leading the side of Heaven includes Michael, the leader; Raphael, his partner; and Uriel, its Commander.
WIthin Hell, there is Satan, the leader; Allocer, its Commander; Lucifer, a refugee from Heaven; and Mammon, an upstart mage.

Heaven

Quicklook...

Heaven trends towards a slightly higher population, relaxed atmosphere, and tolerance of out-of-caste relationships. It was founded from the small colony Purgatory by Michael, Raphael, Leviathan, and Lucifer, and has been under Michael's leadership ever since. Much of its history is marred by the abuse Lucifer put its inhabitants through, but after his departure to Hell, the denizens have breathed a collective sigh of relief.

In general, Heavenites are loyal, outspoken, honest, headstrong, dedicated, and creative.

Telestia

As a stopgap to help raise young Ants during the years Lucifer resided in Heaven, they were raised in Telestia - once a mining outpost, converted to a massive "boarding school". Safe from the physical abuse and stress from the main colony, children raised here were taught in unspecialized subjects (math, history, farming, etc) until ~13, where they would move to the main colony and begin learning their specialized career paths.

In general, full-time Telestian adults are quiet, nervous, and anticipatory.

Hell

Quicklook...

Hell's population is slightly lower than Heaven's, and it is younger by a small number of years. It rose up when Leviathan left Heaven to form his own colony in the southeast pine forests. Leviathan was quickly deposed by Satan, who took over its leadership and management in year 500. Since then, it has redoubled its war efforts in an attempt to 'rescue' gyne from Heaven. Lucifer's recent move to Hell has left many doubtful of Satan's leadership, however, as Lucy runs rampant under the other's nose.

In general, Hellites are subdued, crafty, ambitious, erratic, self-sufficient, and individualistic.
