Things you learned at an embarrassingly late age

Posted 7 years, 2 days ago (Edited 6 years, 11 months ago) by MiscBoardMod

I saw this thread on reddit the other day and it was an overall pretty funny thread just because of some of the things people haven't learned until much later and some people who have had the same thing happen!

Now to be clear, do NOT  make fun of ANYONE in this thread!! It's only to share funny little stories and giggles etc, but please don't be rude to others about it! Some things may be obvious to you, while it's not the same for everyone!

As always, if there is any sensitive content that you feel may need to be blacked out, please do so!

There's not much more to add to this, so go wild!

To state something more personal, it took me until last year
19 entire years of living as an arm amputee
To realise that if my arm was itchy I could just use the nails of my toes to scratch it

19 full years of accepting my fate once the itch kicked in, and all along it could've been cured easily without having to scratch against a wall like a cat with fleas on a scratching pole c':

I learned that regardless of what a person may be, they can still be an asshole in the end. It took me so long to learn that. //facepalms

TBH i liked the no. 69 because of this guy aljskdfa. and so I had this fighter character named 69 and a guild called 69 lmaoo.... after many people running by me and saying nice name alkdfa some random person finally told me its meaning... RIP but also my fav number since elementary school has been  no.4 and last year i figured out it means death... I really don't have the best luck at choosing numbers

I learned a lot of things pretty late...

but the only thing that comes to mind is learning Dubai isn't in India. I felt really dumb finding that out.

I learned to tie my shoes in the 8th grade. Nobody had ever taken the time to actually show me so I went and looked up online tutorials.

I thought babies came from the butt until I was a 11. I made so many butt baby jokes, I shame myself ;-;.

And it took me til I was 16 to realize that the dominoes logo was a domino.

@vaxmore according to the Oreo uk page "No, Oreo have milk as cross contact and therefore they are not suitable for vegans."
