Ask 5 Questions to the Above Person's OC!

Posted 6 years, 11 months ago (Edited 6 years, 10 months ago) by isopods

I've seen a couple of threads where people can ask OCs questions.  However, I thought it might be interesting if those questions covered more of the character's development without having to post multiple times to receive multiple questions.

Rules and Guidelines

  1. Please comment in-character.  The character you post as will be the next character to be asked five questions.
  2. Once your character is asked the questions from the next poster, please edit your initial comment to answer the questions.
  3. Please ask questions that contribute, at least somewhat, to the character's development.
  4. Please read the character's profile and the person's profile before asking any questions.
Khasar muwi

1. So how was Celeste's current situation... created? (I assume this is a Danny Phantom fanOC and seem to have some methods listed on the Wikia about how half-ghosts are made). Has she always been a halfa? Or is this something more traditional and, like, she's technically in a coma or something and her spirits is just unattached to her body and roaming around?

2. Does she switch between ghost and human or permanently half? If so, how does phasing through things work?

3. What are the advantages and disadvantages her powers give her?

4. Why doesn't she like geese :(

5. Any knowledge of canon characters? If so, any opinions on Danny Phantom himself if she's heard of him?

—-

Thank you for the questions!! ;w;

1. how does he feel about his family, or his mother in particular, since i saw her mentioned about his hair?

- He cares and misses his family, even if he doesn’t say anything about them. His dad was a hunter and taught him how to find food, his mother was a weaver and a forager and taught him all the artistic skills he knows, and also how Not to Die By Mushroom that Looks Real Close To An Edible One. But they both died due to some strange circumstances and when that occurs within the mountain range, the mountain will attempt to erase them from the memories of those living still on the mountain. Khasar is an outsider, so it doesn’t affect him as much as if he were a spirit, but he feels something is really off and that their deaths were not as natural as he ‘remembers’ it to be.

2. does he have any memories of a world before being placed on the mountain?

- He does! He remembers mainly his childhood, but it’s very fuzzy. He remembers enough to know the workings and general culture of the surrounding villages, so later on when he meets a runaway she doesn’t really have to explain too much about where she came from because he already knows. I guess he came to the mountain when he was 10-12 maybe?

3. how easily does he trust others- is there something that someone could do that would instantly earn his trust?

- Very distrustful. Takes his time examining the people who talk to him to see if they’re spirits, in canon there aren’t many humans in the mountains and few travel deep enough to encounter Khasar, but if they do meet him and he’s satisfied that you’re human he’s pretty nice and generally trusting. If you’re not, you need to get off his lawn lmao. But actually, there are _some_ spirits that he sort of ‘trusts’. There’s one in particular who lives in the central mountain area and is a super old spirit who is a borderline ghost. She’s annoying and persistent but also treats Khasar like an old friend she bullied— he absolutely hates it, but acknowledges that she has a very powerful position on the mountain so he just deals with it. Wouldn’t trust her to look after his shit or anything but when it comes down to something serious like the health of the mountain, then yes. I can’t really think of anything that would earn his trust immediately...if you like birds, I guess?

4. how does he see himself? what traits stick out to him in his own head?

- Independent, reliable, DIY-king. “I can make it myself” attitude. Someone who doesn’t need company, and doesn’t seek out company (yeah right, loser with your big ass bird who can’t talk to people). He is hyperaware of the fact that he‘s kinda racist, but also don’t give no fucks. He isn’t an over thinker, he just Does it.

5. is he aware he's tone-deaf. does he wish to make music, or does he already play?

- He is aware. Think something must have happened when he was younger because he has zero interest in doing anything musical LMAO. He does enjoy listening to music though.

 Ixia hydrangeas

1. how does he feel about his family, or his mother in particular, since i saw her mentioned about his hair?

2. does he have any memories of a world before being placed on the mountain?

3. how easily does he trust others- is there something that someone could do that would instantly earn his trust?

4. how does he see himself? what traits stick out to him in his own head?

this one's a little goofy. but i gotta ask.

5. is he aware he's tone-deaf. does he wish to make music, or does he already play?

---

i was playing splatoon im sorry-

1. How do they feel about having lost what seems like a whole lot of memories? Do they feel mourning or sorrowful towards the other person they have lost, or do they not miss what, to them, was never there?

ixia really wishes they remembered anything... theyre incredibly frustrated by the fact that they'll never know what their life was like, and the prospect that they left something or someone behind... they're frustrated because they feel mired down by the past they don't even know- they want to find any clues they can, but also realize its unlikely they could ever return to what they were doing in the past... theyre a person who cant give up on something, and theyre not even sure thats what they were like before they were hit into a coma. theyd also like to know who did it to them and why- especially considering the world around them is in political tumult, and to be left for dead in the cold? it reeks of foul play, and they have a suspicion they werent just nobody.

2. What does Ixia do for Aster, in terms of acting like an older sibling? Do they help him with tasks like homework or games, or is it more of a familiarity in a shared space kind of feeling? Does it more manifest in sibling rivalry/bickering?

due to the nature of their amnesia, ixia struggles to articulate how to do things for aster, even though he often asks- they can only hope he picks up on something by watching. they don't mind playing games with him, but more often than not, it's talk of the ramifications of their amnesia in potential circumstances and theories of where they came from. they're good with a blade, suggesting they were a fighter at some point, and they don't mind sparring with him. they also fish fairly often to bring food back for everyone. ixia has accepted him as like a sibling, given that his situation is vaguely similar to theirs (aster's memories are very limited given his immobility and youth), though he very often gets on their nerves. they often scold him for being obnoxious, but its rare that they actually fight given that aster has picked up a lot from ixia's demeanor and philosophies. hell, even though ixia resents having such a useless skill, they'll entertain him by doing cool card tricks. not much else to do.

3. Does Axia have any hobbies aside from urban exploration? Things like sewing, music, or art?

things are pretty scarce in the state of their continent, so its pretty hard to find the materials for hobbies like that... they're actually pretty content to kind of sit around with their thoughts, even if it can be upsetting... they like to nap out in the grass sometimes too. fishing's also pretty cool since there's not much going on, and they kinda like looking for things that might come downstream... it also doesnt help that since lisyevo, the closest village, was wiped out, so there's really not much to do at this point other than talk to aster.

4. What does Axia do while in the doctor's care and under their roof? Are they in the building often, or do they spend most of their time wandering? Are they just there to eat and sleep, or to relax at all?

the doctor's (edelweiss) home is kind of a cave so... sure they like to lounge about, but they spend more of their time wandering around the woods and fishing or something. when they're inside, they might read a book for the nth time, let edelweiss look at their head or something, maybe drop some rocks down a shaft and seeing what kind of sound they make. its really quite grating, and they would find somewhere else to go if it wasnt as dangerous.

5. How does the doctor treat Axia, in terms of their interpersonal relationship? Do they treat Axia as more of a patient, or like their own child? It is mentioned that Axia would prefer to keep their distance from the doctor, which implies that the doctor does not keep their distance - is that just an assumption I'm making or does it ring true?

because ixia kind of lives with her now, edelweiss treats them more like any other person than a patient at this point. sure she likes to monitor how their condition changes, but they also just. now know about each other's personal lives. while edelweiss is polite to them and actually pretty quiet, ixia just... doesn't really trust her. they dont really hide it, but something about the whole situation feels so manufactured that they don't really want to act as though nothing is wrong. edelweiss has learned to keep out of their space for the most part, but... there's only so much you can do in a cave.

mary (+ gemma/walter/charlie) biscuitygoodness

this is technically more than five questions but this character naturally comes with lots of questions so i'm just grouping them into categories

1. How do they feel about having lost what seems like a whole lot of memories? Do they feel mourning or sorrowful towards the other person they have lost, or do they not miss what, to them, was never there?

2. What does Ixia do for Aster, in terms of acting like an older sibling? Do they help him with tasks like homework or games, or is it more of a familiarity in a shared space kind of feeling? Does it more manifest in sibling rivalry/bickering?

It is mentioned that Axia would prefer to keep their distance from the doctor, which implies that the doctor does not keep their distance - is that just an assumption I'm making or does it ring true?

LP TheSaturnianWildcat

1. What kind of ways does Mary deal with her anxiety? In other words, what are her coping methods?

2. Has Mary's inability to connect to others other than being a therapist ever gotten her in trouble/angered someone? How did her and her system deal with that if so?

3. What kind of hobbies does everyone in the system enjoy?

4. I know you have Charlie's favorite food down, how about everyone else's?

5. What kind of tasks/chores does everyone have on the ship?

---

1- Once LP was resurrected did he forget about his past life? or did he keep the memories. Or maybe, when did he get them back?

Y'know, I was gonna have it so he did keep the memories but the idea that he lost them then regained them (maybe once he was able to return to Earth?) is VERY appealing, especially if it was the reason he was so volatile and angry as a teen

2- Does LP hold any resentment of any kind to his brother about his death?

Absolutely not. If his brother had listened to him and come out on the ice with him, they both would have died and there's no guarantee Liam would have come back like him

3- How exactly do his powers work? Can he over use them? Do they have a limit?

Another question I haven't rly thought about! I'm going to say a lot of them are pretty low power but there's definitely a limit. He can't teleport too often in one go (so if he goes a long distance, he can't do it for a while). His object summoning powers only apply to things that he can hold in two hands max. He can only levitate 10 or so feet off the ground and it can't be for extended amounts of time (though I'm thinking this is only on Earth). His technopath abilities are the biggest one he has but he can use it pretty long and effectively. Like said in his bio, the electric shocks are only on contact. And finally, his little pocket dimension can only hold like 5 or so items.

4- Why is his Cycleave so sentimental to him?

While it's not the same scythe, he had a similar one when he was younger which got stolen sometime in the rounds. He does end up finding again but doesn't have the opportunity to take it back. Cycleave isn't the same one but it does have a degree of sentimentality. Plus LP just in general is very sentimental.

5- Has anyone ever actually made a joke regarding his tenticals?

He definitely knows a bunch of people who would tease him (as he gets a lot of flak for his name being Luigi) so I bet it has happened! His twin probably would make a crack himself but LP would definitely pull the ol' "Why are you looking at them like that, weirdo?' thing to shut him up.

3- How exactly do his powers work? Can he over use them? Do they have a limit?

4- Why is his Cycleave so sentimental to him?

5- Has anyone ever actually made a joke regarding his tenticals?

1- Heather does like those two things! Yellow is her favourite colour, and she's always found Sunflowers to be beautiful flowers

2- Sort of recent - she doesn't really understand it at the moment, but she's never found herself attracted to males, while she has with females - though she tends to deny it.

3- Heather simply enjoys putting others down, showing off that she's the one in charge of every situation - honestly a major sociopath. Though, this could all stem from her mother leaving as a child (mommy issues😔)

4- It's complicated.. she lives at home with her father, who knows his daughter is a bully (just not knowing the extent of her bullying), and is trying his best to get her on the right track. He tries family game nights, dinners, outings - but Heather just tends to brush him off. She does love her dad, but just finds all of this annoying

5- Currently no, she's still in denial and has no crushes. (though I do have plans for her to eventually get a buff girlfriend - this would be during Heathers attempted redemption arc)

Aamona TyrianCallows

Gosh I love his lore! What an interesting concept, so let me ask:

-Would you consider Bryne to have been born in a different crew than the one he had? Or was he born on land and later got work as a kid/teen on a ship and made his way up from there?

-Is there any sort of physical markings to his curse, like a sigil? (Think like Alphonse's binding circle on the suit of armor from FMA/B)

-How does the average populace of the mer's react to him when he's out working on his punishment? Or do they even know that it's the sailor who had razed the smaller communities?

-Would Bryne ever try to look for his former crewmates? And what do you think their reactions to him being mer would be?

-Finally, would the smaller communities of mer that his crew sacked, would they have called for a harsher punishment than what he currently has?

Sorry for a late response, I get distracted on twitch easily.

1. How does she personally feel about her name change? In her bio, it's mentioned her previous name "died" with her rite of passage. Does she feel like her new one fits her/would she ever use "Elealda" again or is that part of her long since buried? (no pun intended...maybe)

Aamona is pretty much set on her new name, as becoming a Demon Hunter really represents a newfound life/family than the one she left in Quel'thalas. The only way I could ever see her going back to using Elealda is if she ever reunites and actually interacts with her brother, Ochiael.

2. How does she feel about being Slayer? Does she think she deserves it, etc.?

She honestly doesn't mind it, but she's also surprised she got to this rank with her upbringing being more suited towards being nobility. However, with moving to Zuldazar and the events of BFA she's been trying to keep to herself rather than lead her unit of Demon Hunters as she tries to find her place in the world and learn about what she's missed while being in Outland and jailed.

3. From being bound to Syrine, is there anything unique that Aamona has developed as a result? (i.e. any special abilities Syrine had that Aamona now possesses, etc.)

It's mainly a lot of physical attributes, for one her skin is more scaled like that of an Aranasi, along with her wings being webbed and not able to be used for flight/glide. Most of the big things come in the metamorphosis form, where she takes on the appearance of the Brood Mother, and the personality that seeps in aligns more to the demon she's bound to.

4. Since the Legion's defeat, what's she been up to since? Her feelings following the handling of the mission to Argus?

She's been pretty much almost AWOL from the rest of the Hunters, especially during the months after the Horde's move to burn down Teldrassil. Ever since Illidan pretty much left the group to their own devices she's been more interested in learning what she's missed out on.

5. If she hadn't of chosen to become a demon hunter, what would her path in life have been?

She would have most likely been a Sunfury soldier who had perished during Burning Legion.

1. How aware is Aphrodite of her ditziness? How does she feel about it and does it affect her job? Has it ever had serious repercussions on her work?

2. How does she feel about how much others mock her? Has she ever told her mother about any of it?

3. What kind of love songs does she like the most? Does she ever sing them? Has she ever fantasized about being one of the characters in one?

4. How is her relationship with her mother? What does she like most and least about Cadance? What is her favorite childhood memory?

5. Has she ever had a crush on anyone? If not, what would her ideal partner be, if any? If so, did she ever approach them?

1. The Mags in general are pretty dysfunctional, so aren't super judgemental about weird dynamics, and don't see much wrong with the duo as long as they're happy. Nor does Jedana, really - Zmeya's the one who thinks their relationship is bad and then self-punishes for "forcing Jedana into something like that". It's hard for him to accept that Jedana is happy like this, but he knows he kind of needs to just trust Jedana on this one. It's not really his right to impose what he thinks Jedana should feel on Jedana, and that he needs to trust that Jedana isn't lying/will tell him the truth, when he's uncomfortable, etc; so he's working on not... dumping that insecurity on Jedana.

2. Zmeya is exempt from a lot of Jedana's more like... outwardly-critical behaviors. He just has more empathy and automatically assumes Zmeya is trying his best already (he is) so he doesn't see any point in mashing down Zmeya's self esteem any further or even really... faulting him for trying. zmeya's BPD already does that quite enough lmfao
also Jedana just doesn't see a lot wrong with Zmeya in the first place. What is he doing wrong, other than self-punishing for not living up to his own absurdly perfect expectations? It's not like he's hurting anyone or expecting anyone to take care of him - in fact, he avoids it under all circumstances. It's a miracle Jedana's even as close to him as he is, and he's grateful for that, bc Jedana admires his strength/effort in trying to push forward despite... like... everything

3. No, I don't think so - because 1) Zehneck is already dealing with some of the other Mags 2) Zmeya can't open up to anyone else, really 3) finding mortal therapists is weiiiiird. Jedana probably could get into psychology given enough time but I don't think he'd think to use it to help Zmeya, especially since... well the issues Zmeya has are a lot more intensive and harder to recover from than just therapy for something like depression :'D personality disorders b this way

4. It means Jedana is actually just a bigass hendecagon (11-sided figure) conceptually and that all things tied to that are part of his concepts, as a god - all hendecagons exist because they are manifestations of his conceptual energy; the concept of 11 (and all "double" numbers, like 22, 33, etc) is also under his domain, as well as things like doubles/couples, halves, etc. He's a reality warper because he's part of the basis of reality and so has a backdoor entrance to it whenever he wants. Jedana doesn't have any philosophies because he really just considers them extensions of himself... he'd see it more like self-reflection, I think

5. Nah he's really domestic focused. He doesn't see a need to, when people like Pya/Dij/Sessy/etc are handling that aspect just fine... he'd rather avoid too many cooks in a kitchen. And he doesn't exactly have a dream for the mortals or their lives (except for them to be happy), so he doesn't see the point in imposing himself. Especially since he has Zmeya instead!

Thank you for the questions!

Buddy Dohmalore

1: Are his other friends like....Concerned about his relationship with Zmeya?  It seems like a pretty Bad setup they have going, if not outright abusive,,,Like I get that Zmeya is essentially living with a shitty abusive parent literally inside his head and he does need outside support, it's admirable that Jedana wants to do that for him, but damn

2: Why is Zmeya exempt from Jedana's "Trends towards empathizing with others, but is careful not to excuse their actions" and "Expects others to also contain their negative traits and difficulties, even at their own expenses."

3: Has he ever considered getting Zmeya a real therapist?  Or getting more acquainted with mortal concepts of psychology, as to try and help Zmeya cope better with his situation?

4: (FORCIBLY REMOVES MYSELF FROM THE ZMEYA ZONE) What does being the integral hendecagon structure mean, on a practical/personal level?  Where do hendecagons even occur, if they're a big enough concept in this world to become an overpowered reality warper?  Does Jedana have any particular philosophies about his self/domain?

5: Does he actually participate in maintaining timelines?  He just seems so domesticity-focused, does he actually use his powers to do anything substantial?

-----

1. How did Buddy's coping mechanisms first begin to develop? What brought him to seek out the wild and neglect himself? How do these mechanisms help him?

"Yo what, that's a lot of big words."  Buddy says, but it's clear that he parsed the meaning by the way his mood has dropped.

"I don't know, I just...want to be alone?  When I go out there? It's hard to be alone when you can feel everybody around." It's better to truly be alone in his misery than to be aware of all of his neighbors having normal happy days with their families while he's huddled alone on his couch with no one.  He's not locked in that basement unable to reach out to people anymore, but he might as well be, as bad as he is at approaching people in a way that doesn't make them uncomfortable.

"And it's not like I need to eat, so it's not like, REAL neglect.  I didn't eat that much when I was a kid and that turned out fine."  He tries to brush it off as nothing, but he can't keep his voice steady and his eyes are looking much shinier than they were previously.  He doesn't want to talk about it(except that he does, he wants somebody to care). He doesn't want to think about it.  He doesn't want to hurt like this(but maybe it's what he deserves, maybe his mother was right to do what she did).

(He is just subconsciously recreating his childhood loneliness and hunger.  It sucks but it's familiar, it's comfortable, it's soothing)

2. When did he figure out he was a demon and how did he take it? Did his mother tell him or did he figure it out on his own?

"I mean, yeah, she told me."  Buddy fidgets with his zipper.  "She told me a lot."

She didn't talk to him very often, but every time she did it came up.  Angrily, in his oldest memories.  Demanding to know why he was and what he wanted from her.  Over the years she would become...not kinder, but less aggressive.  She didn't like him, but she accepted his existence.  She didn't trust him.  She didn't like him.  And he didn't know how to talk back then, so he doesn't know how he understood her.  But he doesn't mention that.  He knows it's weird and he doesn't want to be weird.  Weirder.

3. How does he see his own condition in the future? Will he ever come to terms with being a half demon?

I'll be honest he's my Angst Outlet and having him actually work out his issues & experience character development isn't conducive to that lmao

He's also actively reluctant to change,, He wants to be loved as he is, he doesn't want to change for other people(but he also hates himself and doesn't want to be himself,)(feelings don't make sense).  But he also is aware that his current behavior/personality puts most people off of him, so he's just in a stubborn stalemate with himself.

Currently he doesn't like his demon aspects.  Every time they come up he just feels weird and othered.

In the future, he ends up making himself useful to the Belles.  His 'aura sense' turns out to be very useful for tracking down missing people!  Instead of being the freak of his family, people actually want him around, they call him a HERO.  It's kinda fucked up that they only want him when he can do things for them, but he'll take what he can get and the fact that he is desirable to other humans BECAUSE of his demon attributes is new and feels really good.  He's been given permission to not hate that part of himself so much.  He gets a little more confident, feels more like a part of his community rather than an unwelcome voyeur.  Maybe becomes a little less clingy and desperate and therefor more tolerable, if not more likeable.

I don't have a lot of development settled for him after this.  He probably does need to meet some actual demons.  (I mean there is Vengeance/Vengeance-cohabiting-a-body-with-Kenny, but that's,,, not really the same.  I'm sure they bond plenty over both being freaky hybrid creatures but it's not the same)

4. Where did Buddy learn how to hunt demons? How did he find out their weaknesses and how many has he hunted so far?

I think you confused him w/ his mom; buddy's not a demon hunter!  He's never met another demon before as far as he's aware.

5. What was his lowest moment in life and what was his happiest?

Man I can't even answer this for myself, I don't wanna quantify it for fake people

(Sorry for bailing on the last two questions lmao,,,)(the first 3 really made me think tho thank u!!)
