This was a conversation my friends and I were having earlier about our characters: everyone has certain character archetypes they're a sucker for-- or maybe ones that they can't help but keep making. What's your poison?
You can interpret this generally: maybe archetypes like "jerks with a heart of gold", personality traits like "smug", storylines like "friends who fall in love", whatever types of characters you love to see or create!
My characters:
a) idiots but they try
b) feelings are hard let's never talk about them
c) conflict resolution is hard let's never talk about it
-Sock (or pastern) markings and/or tail-tip markings in my designs.
-Most go through or are going through something traumatizing or are in pain in some way. One even suicided because of past events he couldn't get over. :,)
-Most of my male ocs are gay or bi while most of my females are straight.
-Pikmin. Pikmin everywhere.
- mostly idiots, but somehow some people still like them
- "everything goes downhill from now" backstories
- Floof hair
- mostly humans with some animal things slapped onto them and poof, they're demons now.
- Sad Cop™
- Sad Doctor™
- divorces/breakups???fsr????
- stupid smelly sarcastic/stoic/blunt characters who are complete softies for their s/os
- gay/trans
- either really dumb or really smart
- baby feet tall or just giants
- have depression
- are too self projected
1) Sarcasm levels over 900
2) Optimism level over 900
3) 1 AND 2 START KISSING ALREADY

I also love to build up relationships n like have close friends or have one of em fall in love and make it emotional and Good and then take all of it away by making one die because uhh I'm a dr fan and it entertains me to make my charas suffer

- Grey morality
- Cowardly/haughty villains (as in, being simpering, villains not to proud to beg, crying (fake or otherwise), cheating, fighting dirty, etc etc)
- Lots of demons/monsters
- (Morally) good demons, horrible angels
ok I have 14 characters on this site. my most common archtypes are 1. nice person with one crazy obsession that's all they talk about (3 characters)
2. sensitive intellectual (2 characters)
3. battle girl (2 characters)
4. man who's 40+ years old (5 characters)
I have SO MANY but my faves are:
-chubby soft boys who are also very shy
-very confident party girls in love with said soft boys
-buff beefcakes with hearts of hold
-weirdly ethereal beauties who are actually Huge Dorks
-badass ladies who are also really sweet
-look Goth and Scary but are actually bubbly summer children
