What are your trademark character archetypes?

- awkward, sweet, and quiet. secretly has some kind of anxiety. may talk very little, or very formally. is usually a knight or a henchman

- cold and avoidant, but cares deeply for others

- hyper and fun. may revel in violence

- knight

- sweet character who doesn't seem like they would be totally bloodthirsty in battle but is

- character who is being used and gets some kind of respite from it that makes them and me both very uncomfortable

- limp bizkit break stuff

- knowledge hungry wizard, often dabbles in magic considered to be too chaotic and unstable, probably not human anymore, may fall anywhere from "howl's moving castle" to "ok we can't forgive the fact that you did this but you're still our friend and we're going to save you" type of... undertale/earthbound/power of friendship stuff...

- chronic illness

- henchmen

- kingslayers

- just wants to take a nap

- doesn't get paid enough

- dads

- goth

I can't remember if I posted here before or not, so I'm just going to do it again anyway lol. I love seeing trends and archetypes in peoples' works! So here's mine

-Gay evil bastard (both of the saturday morning cartoon variety, and the genuinely evil variety)

-Gremlin whose primary motivation is the lols

-Giant person with social anxiety

-Tired dad

-Himbo

-Therapist energy

I like these archetypes just way too much-

A) himbo. usually either blond and dumb like a board or a little witty but still an idiot, likes women a bit too much and has hair styled into a fabulous pompadour 

B) literal children who are cute and innocent but also absolutely savage and radiate boss fight energy

C) scammers. just. scammers. 

D)  single dad who is an angry bastard and really likes to fight but secretly soft like a teddy bear and is an absolutely best dad (cute)

E) animal people. no not anthros and not kemonomimis, just animal people.

- cannot have perfect teeth (if completely straight teeth they're yellow or off colored)

- sclera color is whatever their iris color is but really light

- chill people
- strict and angry people

- "I want to fight you but i don't wanna because i'm nerfed :("
- mysterious vibes
- have a cold, violent, or dickhead demeanor from the outside but is wholesome from the inside
- gay people
- uwu babies
- Easily offended people that was treated as a joke
- sadistic and psychopathic women
- good from the outside but bad from the inside
- bitchy people
- himbos

For me I think it's villains and good guys who want to change something bad about where/when they live but are afraid that if they institute this change too quickly revolts and those they were trying to help will overthrow them making them unable to further help the people.

D. Tired, doesn't care at this point, just wants to watch the world burn

E. I haven't developed them?? Like sorry I can't hear you over the screams of the void.

F. Trying their best, they don't deserve what they get put through

G. Very physically and emotionally strong, probably a decent person tbh :')

Not sure if I've replied to this yet but my archetype seems to be characters with horribly traumatic pasts which still influence their actions today.

It's rare and weird when I have a character WITHOUT at least one tragedy in their past.

-overconfident selfish jerks you can’t help loving

-autistic, quiet but just there chilling and happy to be. Like kinda just reactive n watches everything go down from the corner wide eyed while drinking a smoothie, which is vry tonally deaf to the situation. Or not wide eyed but half lidded n they look dead inside 24/7 but they’re having a good day they’re just not expressive. Oddly specific but I just?? Can’t stop?? Idk but out of place seemingly apathetic ppl that just go with the flow just scratch that itch, it’s weirdly one of my small handful of go-to personality types

-judgemental, bitter, snappy and very very angsty

• Cheeky bastards
• I am smart in only one specific thing, but otherwise am stupid
• Low level villain is partially domesticated. They're still bad though they promise >:•(
• Too many eyes and not enough human-ness
• Romances that start out as a fling and three years later they're not actually sure when they started dating or how they moved in together

• guys who make EXCELLENT housewives
• soft and caring boys who also do not take shit and will cut you if you bother them
• women/femme nbs who are Very Gender and are just really cool, cheeky, and bold in a male anime character way bc they were not raised in a society that taught them femininity = being innocent and dainty and being other people's caretakers/shouldering their emotional burdens :]  they do those things of their own volition, when they want to
• neurodivergent and/or disabled and chillin   
• lowkey amoral, sometimes in a "i do not understand your species' rules" way, sometimes in a "i do not care about people lol", but never portrayed as Pure Evil, just detached
• girls and their guy best friends, and they stay best friends for the entire story and they care each other so much <33
• like...all-girl gangs/teams. idk men dont seem to exist in my mind unless i intentionally manifest them
• chaos incarnate and unexpected chaos incarnate
• chaos incarnate/jokester who has a completely different chill/serious mode when they're away from others
• soft (looking) person with pastel aesthetic who calls you a motherfucker
• adults who really do not know what they're doing and are struggling with that fact, because as a recently-turned young adult, i have made the unfortunate discovery that adult life consists entirely of trial-and-error floundering around until you happen to fall into a routine
• single parents bc my peabrain cannot handle couples (but apparently it can handle poly parenting???)
• dads and more dads and more dads-
• unbridled emotional honesty. just...
• shy person and their extroverted cheerleader friend
• kids who had to grow up too fast but later they gain a found family and have the childhood they deserve
• adult who accompanies the child hero(es) on their adventure and is completely terrified the entire time bc adults and children have different perspectives and concerns and "oh my god who the fuck is this kid they almost died seven times and haven't reacted once"

•  Magical Girls.
• The need for revenge, but somehow turned into a gay romance.
• Happy, bubbly, nothing can ever bring my mood down kind of oc .
• Femme fatale characters, who either are really smart or evil. Either way step on me. xD
• Cold, calculated but somehow still have a heart of gold.
• Emotional personalities.
• Dads.
