@Judas-la-carotte's thread about underrated characters made me think about the opposite! I'm not going to use the word "overrated" because I certainly don't mean that any OCs deserve less love, but do you have any characters whom you're surprised get more attention than you expected they would, among your characters?
Maybe people pick them more often in forum games or art trades than other characters, they have more faves than you expected, or they're just the ones your friends have gravitated towards for whatever reason-- but maybe they aren't among your own favorites, or they're just not the OCs you expected would be popular.
And has that character's popularity inspired you to use or develop them more, or give them a bigger role in whatever story or project they may be in?
There are no particular rules for this thread; just be nice and don't try to make people feel bad about their taste or anything like that.

Paradox here hasn't got the most favourites out of the entirety of my TH but honestly,,, I remember being really nervous about uploading him onto here because I thought that everyone would think he was a really stupid and problematic character when that,, doesn't seem to be the case? A lot of people surprisingly seem to like him
Tbh I'm relieved in a way because I really like him and I'm glad others do as well (hopefully, that's what I think lmao). I think it was the whole thing about him being a Helicopter was what made me think he'd be seen as cringe ngl. I'm also kinda glad that I didn't upload him in 2020/21 either because his lore SUCKED back then

i was hesitant to actually upload him and the rest of the gang anywhere bcs i felt like people are going to get mad at me for fucking up the folklore source. "my culture is not here for you to make ocs" kinda reactions n such i'm slavic myself but nobody gives a shit about reading these days and see everyone at fault, i was defaulted to american by other americans way too many times already
i was completely assaulted by people during artfight, so many ppl liked him;;; became my main bcs seeing others so excited made me just love the whole squad of characters in the same folder even more

Vachellia is one of my most liked characters. I can see why some people like them, since they're one of my most unique characters. But with only one ref sheet and a small description of them, I wasn't expected for people to like them or even care lol. Not only are they my most favourited character on toyhouse, but they also have the most attacks on Art Attack. So all you'll see is artists, making amazing work of Vachellia TvT
A majority of my characters have darker/edgier themes so seeing Yetta (one of my very few lighthearted ocs) get the majority of the favs is always a bit funny to me, lol
Surprisingly, this vampire-adjacent guy. I honestly just made him as a joke bc in a rp thing I was in a lot of people were turning their characters into vampire-adjacent things and I joined in and just made one myself. Man's become one of my most popular characters aside from my lad Takehiko.
Personally his design is amongst one of my favorites that I own/made, so I’m really glad he gets a good bit of love!! I’m mainly surprised at the amount of people who like him, since he doesn’t really have much of a fleshed out story, and honestly idk if my designs are really all that good or not so I’m pleasantly surprised that people like him! He got like, 6 attacks on artfight this year which is also crazy!
