Ask a question to the above person's OC

Posted 7 years, 7 months ago (Edited 6 years, 10 months ago) by Amvira varkarrus

So it'll go like this: A person posts a question to the above user's OC. Then, after a new person posts a question, the first person edits their post to have an answer.

Something like

Person A: (posts a question to the above person)

Person B: Does (person A) like cupcakes?

then Person A edits their post so it's like

Person A: (posts a question to the above person)
I do like cupcakes!

Person B: Does (person A) like cupcakes?

Person C: Could (person B) defeat Goku in a fight?

then

Person A: (posts a question to the above person)
I do like cupcakes!

Person B: Does (person A) like cupcakes?
No, I absolutely could not take Goku on in a fight, have you seen that guy?

Person C: Could (person B) defeat Goku in a fight?

EDIT: Try and ask questions that lead to the development of characters!

EDIT2: Cant believe this needs to be said, but make your posts legible!!!!

EDIT3: Also. Read the person's profile before you ask a question!
Follow these rules or I'll implement a banlist!

I'll edit this post to include a response to the next person's question, once somebody posts!

(re: "Do you enjoy sitting in a garden to relax?")
"A garden? Pfeh! What kind of pansy-ass garbage is that? Lemme tell you how I relax! A warm, musty couch, some snacks, and video games! Hah!" ((But to be honest, she might enjoy just lounging around under a tree on a hot day))

“Wow!” Enyou clapped his hands with glee. “You seem really close to your sister! That’s amazing! I understand because I have lots of siblings too! I wish I was as dedicated as you though, so I guess you’re a really selfless guy, huh?”

“I know you said you wanted to help your sister as much as possible and help her realise her dreams, but what about you, mister? What’s your dream, and what would you wanna do in the future if you could do whaaaaatever you wanted?”

"Me?" he pointed at himself, looking behind him just to make sure. "Just a humble Haiblum! Um, I suppose the closest description would be a 'shark-man'? There's a few like me, we're really friendly, I swear! We're tough fish~"

"Mm, the only downside is that we can't really hunt on land, but that's okay because my friends just share theirs."

"Oh, unless you meant my actual aura?" He lifted his hand, and a glimmering smoke wafted from his fingertips. "This is just my magic. It's a lot like water, but better. It helps me swim in the air and help me breathe on land."

 Violet Sapphire Jellysideaccount

Sapphire was running, trying to catch up with this strange individual she saw. "Excuse me, but... there is an aura about you. Please... What are you?" She asked. She was clearly puzzled and needed an answer.

---

Sapphire nods. "I am always looking for answers. Why would you live blind to your surroundings?" She covers her eye. "At least that's how I see it."

Scourge ChaosGrizzly

Scourge studied Ro for a bit before asking the question.

"So... I can see that you have siblings. How well do ya guys get along anyways?"

He waits for Ro to respond.

------------

He thinks deeply about the question. Jellybeans was definitely something that bothered him.

"Who told you!? Ugh... I guess I will answer that. I'm pretty sure I've no choice."

"I can't recall any events that caused me to fear 'em. It's just the fact that I hate everything about them.... their so colorful and shiny.. *shudders* ...And they taste awful.. the overall appearance of them just makes my skin crawl. I don't like them. I will murder anyone who puts those things near me! ...Or I will just run away screaming."

Chance White Thanaturgist

"Uh, if you don't mind me asking, Mr. Scourge... Why exactly are you afraid of jellybeans?"

------------------------------------------

EDIT: "Oh well that's easy!" They pause for a moment, seeming to gather their thoughts, their grin broadening. "Because they're such a versatile tool. They can be used to make art, to prepare food, to cut away something that's rotten or infected, and even to injure or take away life, should it come to that!" A momentary pause as they rein in their expression a touch. "On top of that, there's just so many ways you can make a knife. As long as it has an edge to cut with, you can pretty much call it a knife. Because of that, people get really creative with designs, and I've seen some truly beautiful knives in my time."

"I'd like to make my own one day, when I have the opportunity."

Jaime Peterson Guardy

"... Right. Being fond of plushies I understand, but what do you like about knives?"

---------------------

"Nah, crime sounds stressful. Besides, I didn't know a thing about magic before being recruited; I needed them to develop my skills. Not to mention that crime is... not a very moral thing, usually. It just...," she makes a quiet noise and tugs on a loose strand of hair, "it would've been a pretty bad idea."

"Besides, yes, I do enjoy my job a lot! Comes with a lot of perks. Decent living space, for instance, along with a certain sense of community - they have all us magic users living in one big apartment block and it's absolute glorious mayhem more often than not. The actual job bit tends to be a bit... trivial. I can imagine more interesting things than constantly reprimanding the local coven for improperly storing their magical flying implements..." she groans. "It's parking tickets! For brooms! Anyway, I have an amazing partner who helps me pass the time, and occasionally interesting things do happen and I... well, I probably wouldn't like a constantly stressful, fast-paced job, either. Now that I think about it, I don't think there's a job I'd rather have."

"And, well, I certainly do hope my peers think I'm good at it - I know Gus is reasonably pleased with me, at least. I haven't messed up too badly yet, the boss doesn't hate me (which is... surprising, given her general attitude) and I don't seem to annoy the rest of the co-workers too much, either. Yeah, I'd say I'm doing fine. Though, admittedly, I didn't really have a chance to prove myself yet."

Waife Dohmalore

Did Jaime ever consider doing magical crime before she was recruited as a magical crime-fighter?  Does she enjoy her job?  Is she considered by her peers to be good at it?

The one good thing about living among humans, if she were forced to name one, is that they typically don't have the knowledge base to even ask questions like this, and this guy has managed to screw that up, even.  Typical humans.

"If that's a roundabout way of asking whether I have ever taken a humanoid form, the answer to that is absolutely not."  She snips.  "The term 'main form' is misleading in my case, I don't know why others insist on describing me with it.  Just because I can take other forms doesn't mean I do.  It'd be difficult to improve on the perfection of the mantid shape; there's no sense in trying."

What's your job like? Anything you wish you could change about it, or are you happy the way it is now? But surely no job is perfect, there must be something you wish you could do differently about it, right?

It can get pretty disorienting for him at times, but he has sort of learned to "choose" which eyes he sees from at any given moment. When he gets tired or overemotional (which isn't too often on both counts because he's both rather stoic and doesn't move around much, conserving energy. Simply being awake doesn't use up much energy because he's made of magic so, he doesn't really follow most natural laws.) But his power is limited by energy, range, and time. If he's at full energy, his target can go up to five miles away for up to two hours and he can still see through their eyes, though he can sacrifice time for more distance and vice/versa. The lower the amount of energy, the lower these are until he can only see through his own eyes or needs to maintain skin contact to see through others' eyes. He also cannot see out of the eyes of multiple people, as to switch between people he needs to sever his connection with one person, and the connection must start with skin contact.

Jonas "The Bludgeon" Copper Almondlover

Jonas looks at the human warily, still holding his nail bat over his shoulder, just in case. "So, these... "Powers"... Do you ever wish you didn't have them? What made you think that?"

Chance White Thanaturgist

"So Jonas, is it? Why do they call you The Bludgeon, exactly? Would you say you're proficient with nail bats?" they pause a moment. "And clearly, you don't have to answer this since I asked you something already, but... have you ever killed someone?"

-----------------------------------

"Well, I like plushes because they're cute and cuddly, and knives because of how useful and versatile, and pretty they can be!" They beamed as Safie asked the question about their nickname.
"And as for the nickname... Well." Chances pauses, humming to themselves for a moment. "Someone dear to me gave it to me, to prove that I could move forward and leave my past behind. A second 'chance' at life, so to speak."

Safie Valentine (Velvet Room) HowlingCat

“So uh...you like plushies and knives? That is a uh...” Valentine actually needed to think of the proper words for what she wanted to say to them. She was quite concerned about that knife part. “Interesting?..Sure, let’s go with that. Why do you like them so much? Ooooh and how did you end up with ‘Chance’ as your nickname? It sounds like a name that would have some meaning to it.” Her eyes sparkled as she said that.

“Oh, do you mean other Velvet Room attendants? If so, there was plenty of us,” Valentine smiled a bit as she said that “we don’t really see each other too often because the attendants have a “shift”. You see all of us work for a certain amount of time before we’re allowed time off before we’re needed again. Some of us do come back for odd circumstances but the point still stands. I only really know La and Victor since they were there during my training and I’m working with La.” After noting the mention of her brother, Valentine smile droop into a smile. “It’s honestly best if he doesn’t know the similarities in his state. My death did break him and started so much discord in his heart. If I just simply reveal myself, it will cause him more pain considering his current state.” She tighten her grip on her book. “But to answer your question, there are plenty things I can do to get Addy to recognize me. However, taking off my mask would be the ‘best’ way. While I no longer inhabit my actual body, Igor was kind enough to give me one that looks similar to it. As such, if he look at my face, he will figure it out.”

Ringo Joey-D-yvern

“Souls, is that what those squiggly things are? What do you do with them, are they squishy? They look squishy…. HOW are you and your bro, I hear he hates you, why???”

Ringo's smile faded away, his shadow frowned as well.

" you see for a while i lived on the streets and a creepy hobo always hounded me to play chess. He always yelled when we played chess and smelled bad... he... touched me or tried to... I don't have anything there..."

the tiny thing shuddered. Really, it is more of the memories of that drunk hobo's behaviour during chess.
