Give a Pokemon Team to the Character Above you

Posted 7 years, 5 months ago (Edited 6 years, 10 months ago) by NoLongerInUse

This game is similair to the Choose a Pokémon for the character above you! thread. However, instead of choosing one pokemon that seems to suit their looks/personality, you create a team~! You can stick to one type or choose several based on color alone. It's all up to you.
Here are the links to the 3D Sprites (Sun/Moon | Shiny) (Alpha Saphirre/Omega Ruby | Shiny) (X/Y |Shiny)

For example, let's say the first post is for Albine

Post 2: What about Air Time?

Post 3:What about Buibui?

And it continues from there.

Explanation! Scrafty was chosen based on the description given of Innit's clothing preference. They've always reminded me of the tall, lanky dudes who wear trip pants and hoodies, so I thought Innit could appreciate given his love of hot topic.

I chose both Gallade and Decidueye because they both share physical characteristics with Innit that immediately made me think of him. I know the Gallade might be a bit cliche, but I thought Innit would like the typing of both nevertheless.

Kricketune was actually the first pokemon I thought of when I was reading Innit's bio. It mentioned he loved music and playing instruments, so I thought it'd be sweet if he had a musically inclined Pokemon to play with.

On a less wholesome note, Banette is a bit sad, but the story of the pokemon + it's abilities just made me think of Innat. A plush doll that was thrown away- in a way it could represent what he was in his past life, an innocent child, and what he has turned into as the result of someone else. I thought if he had this pokemon he could relate to it a lot and they'd build a really strong bond. (Also I just realized I as I was writing this that this was one of the pokemon you suggested. I'm sorry about that- I was going purely off is bio and writing on another page so I wasn't looking at your comment.)

Okay now hear me out. I know Blissey probably doesn't fit Innat's tastes at all, but with the plethora of personal issues he's facing I thought a pokemon that helped calm their trainer would be very helpful. A pokedex entry about it said that Blissey can sense sadness and will make it's trainer happy- and Innat deserve's to be happyyy!

Suisei strikes me as the kind to prefer cutesy/elegant pokemon, as well as psychic and fairy types, but for the sake of diversity, I'm not gonna be paying attention to them as much. Most of her team isn't meant for battling, and are instead kept around as companions/pets, but a couple of them pack a punch for when she needs them. ALSO I PROMISE I'LL PUT IMAGES/GIFS/SPRITES/WHAT HAVE YOU here eventually, toyhouse is just REALLY not liking me right now v___v

Primarina, Lunatone, Misdreavus, Ledian, Stufful, Pansage

Primarina is pretty obvious, but Suisei gives me huge diva vibes [even if she's about as nice and as sweet as can be], and so it's her star pokemon and main fighter, and she's probably had it since she was younger. I feel like it would have the same temperament as her superhero sona, but it never switches out of this unlike her. It's dramatic. It just will not shut up. Also, I think it'd be kind of cute for her to have a half water-type instead of a full-on fairy-type as her star, mostly because her love for spa trips. Whenever she can't go out for one, Primarina can make a nice bath for her instead.

Lunatone is probably one Suisei also gets a lot on games like these, but hear me out. She had a really hard time picking between Solrock and Lunatone [and even then i think she would have a solrock stored somewhere], but its her second to Primarina, and also... the aesthetic. It's believed to have come from space and to have a link to the moon phases, so I think she would find that especially interesting.

At some point she caught a Misdreavus [probably fairly recently?] and regretted it. She thinks it's cute, and it's sweet when it wants to be, but it likes to startle her by screaming. It's like a toddler begging for attention. She loves it, but she is so tired. She wants to evolve it at some point to curb its mischief [which... won't really work], but she hasn't been able to get her hands on a dusk stone yet.

Ledian is often associated with superheroes from what I've seen, so of course I had to give her one u_u Like her Primarina, it's brave and melodramatic, but... not as strong. It usually gets its ass kicked. Instead of fighting, it's usually meant to throw up moves that boost the rest of her team, such as Safeguard and Reflect. Also, it uses starlight as energy, which she likes for the aesthetic, similar to Lunatone.

Stufful is a pokemon that Suisei has always wanted. It's small, it's cute, and she couldn't help but nab one the moment she saw it. It's used as a companion, something to pet and cuddle with while she's relaxing. She's debating on evolving it, but it's a constant back and forth, because on one hand she wants it to be big and strong, but on the other... It's gonna be awfully difficult trying to cuddle a Bewear at night.

Pansage is probably out there, but tying into Primarina's whole spa thing, the leaf on it's head is used to relieve stress. Like Stufful, it's one of those pokemon she doesn't really use for battling, but rather as a pet. It's definitely a lap monkey. Also, it collects berries for her, which she always appreciates. When it evolves, however, it's gonna become... a lot more quick-tempered, and the leaf is going to become bitter. Again, same situation as Stufful, she doesn't know if she actually wants to evolve it or not.

Bisharp, Skarmory, Mudsdale, Hydreigon, Honchkrow, Nidoking.

Bisharp is a brutal dark type and it seems like something he'd got during the war. A violent warrior for a violent warrior.

Skarmory is one of his trusty steads he is very close to...well his kid is more close to it as she hangs around it more often. His Skarmory was along side him in many battles but now it just protects Maribelle from harm.

Mudsdale is his other trusty stead. Not much to say it's a horse, it hits hard and works hard. Pretty good as a warhorse.

Hydreigon is another Pokemon from his past. A monsterish tyrant that kills everything in it's path. A perfect monster for war.

Honchkrow is more like a teachers pet who tries to keep everyone in line so it can proves itself to be a good right hand bird to Noel

Nidoking Noel once got a Nidoran and he got a male one cause of his sexism and well that was that.

Koi Mercenary_Ike

First off, I see Porygon bc his name's pixel and the head is a square. Bagon is blue and determined to fly even though it can't yet (kind of a disability? It just hasn't evolved yet), Determination and hotheadedness are all signs of Fire types, but Infernape sticks out and I don't know why. Jigglypuffs give great hugs and can put people to sleep! Minun cheers people on, giving him motivation and finally, he gets an Alolan Marowak after his mentor's death since it was his mentors

For the person below me, don’t look at her Pokémon Au and no shiny staraptors since I get that often

turns out we have the exact same taste in women because tia is

XEo9GC8.png

reasons below!

Machamp - ok big and buff, easy one. i was also today years old when i learned that machamp weren't male only, so this is a beautiful big buff lady just like her.
Talonflame - a constant supply of feathers for... whatever tia does with feathers. AND talonflame can learn sunny day, so she can have a bit of summer any time. :)
Trevenant - tia likes gore and fallen trees? have i got a deal for you. fallen tree partaking in gore. mwah, perfection.
Lycanroc (midday) and Lycanroc (midnight) - they're supposed to rep tia's "leetle doggie babies". up to you which one is bear and which one is cuddly bear. and the 'lycan' in their name and midnight form lycanroc being a werewolf is a bonus.
Zoroark - ok so a little of the same as lycanroc. scary dog (er, fox) creature. but big red hair is the main takeaway.

So first off, with her love of gardening I was thinking of the theme of Grass type trainer. With that in mind;

Roselia- Trivia section mentioned that Anastazja uses rose scents to cover up her rotten smell, so a pokemon with rose hands would be fitting. This pokemon also isn't its fully evolved form, which also relates to her just finding her place in the world.
Breloom- I noticed she has little mushrooms growing on her, and thought the literal "mushroom pokemon" would be neat for her.
Morelull- Again, based off the fact she has mushrooms. This little guy is smaller though, and could probably hang out on her shoulder near the other mushrooms. Also not fully evolved form to represent finding her place.
Fomantis- This lil guy could help her with her gardening, cutting out weeds in the yard. Also not fully evolved form to represent finding her place.
Carnivine- Based off the "man-eating ghoul" reports, an actual carnivorous plant to accompany the carnivorous girl.
Cherrim- I thought she may like another sweet smelling pokemon. May not be her usual clove and rose, but a little cherry isn't bad from time to time.

Edit: Alright here we go!

iajgiajg.png

Reasons!

Vaporeon: Alright maybe this one is a bit obvious, but there are aspects of her design that remind me of Vaporeon so it was immediately the first one to come to mind! Mostly the fin-like ears and tail (even if it's not very fish-like) reminded me of it.

Mr. Mime: What do you mean Mr. Mime isn't a god of chaos?! Well in general Ianedia gave off psychic-type vibes and I imagine, being a goddess of chaos, she might give off a general feeling of unease... much like Mr. Mime can. Personally I think Mr. Mime is a very chaotic being.

Zoroark: To go off the chaotic/tricky vibe I thought of Zoroark and it's illusion ability! Although Zoroark itself might not be a maliciously tricky pokemon, it certainly could be with that ability... disguising itself as others all the time? Seems chaotic to me.

Hoopa: Hoopa is, quite literally, the mischief pokemon so it seemed fitting! It's also a psychic type which goes with the sort of feeling I got from her, and I think her overall design fits hoopa really well? The more I look at her the more she looks like a hoopa to me haha.

Blacephalon: Sort of similar to Mr. Mime in that... I feel like Blacephalon just radiates chaos. When I look at this thing I have no idea what I'm looking at it's Strange and I love it. It's hard to explain I think this thing is literally just... chaos incarnate.

Arceus: Alright kind of another obvious one but I mean like? A goddess have a god pokemon? Doesn't seem so out of place. I specified psychic-type Arceus because of reasons stated above but just in general it seems like a good pokemon for a goddess to have! Could definitely cause some chaos.

Edit 2: Oooh all interesting choices, thank you! Chase has got a rather. Unique pokemon AU story I feel like I should add it to his toyhouse at some point ajgoag

Koi Mercenary_Ike

IzayoiHaze here's what I came up with for Chase!

  • Ok his last name is jewel so I had to give him a Sableye, plus it's a dark type
  • Mimikyu since he's insecure bout himself but gets more open the more he warms up to people
  • He likes Autumn so Autumn Form Deerling. Plus it's a grass type, giving him no reason to fear water types since he doesn't like the ocean.
  • His power involves changing things at an atomic level, so I'm choosing Deoxys since it's forms spell out "DNAS" and it looks like DNA
  • Blissey is like the ultimate healer, so he's often helping it heal others (and himself from time to time)
  • Finally, since he does have an intense weakness to the dark and fighting types (Deoxys/Mimikyu) (Sableye/Deerling/Blissey), I decided Togekiss. Not only is it kind and only appears in areas without fighting, it also heals and has an annoying strategy to stall out it's opponents in rage in order for it's trainer to get out safely

Golduck; water type - a type that would go great with her design in general, also comes in friend shaped form (ducks are cuteeeee)

Lapras; again a water type, this time bc lapras are gentle and I can see Koi and her lapras just chilling in a lake with koi on top of it (best friend power also fits her hair style with its color)

Braixen; everyone needs a fire type in their team. choose braixen because it could fight side on side with golduck to protect Koi from any threat

Mareep; fluffy friend, another fierce protector - I can see Koi having a very grumpy and kinda dense Mareep and it always eats her socks and treats but it still loves her

Sewaddle; lil baby, needs to be protected from the world - found its savior in Koi and kinda never left

Swablu; will sit on Koi's head 24/7 and will not budge, also evolving to altaria it will sing Koi to sleep every night and makes sure to keep her warm with cuddles

Kohaku deerfriend

Crobat: Evolves with high friendship; someone like Hisa would surely be an amazing, loving caretaker for her Pokemon. Also, it's a purple bat.

Togekiss: Also evolves with high friendship, and is adorable. Look at that little face.

Lycanroc (Midnight form): Rock type, which fits her ability, and I liked the idea of her having a tough, scary-looking dog that is incredibly loyal to her.

Sylveon: Also evolves with high friendship, is very pretty and sweet but can also wreck shop.

Bewear: Another adorable Pokemon that will lavish affection on its beloved trainer, and will destroy anyone who looks at her wrong. Plus, if she's working herself too hard, Bewear can make her relax.

Delcatty: They have the same color scheme.

i would like to say that i would die for kohaku what a BABE

polteageist.gifgothitelle.gifvespiquen.gifbisharp.gifhatterene.gifpersian.gif

reasons below!

Polteageist - polteageist seems like a very good utility 'mon for kohaku to have! she could disguise her polteageist as a normal teapot and have it set up a poison move so when the tea pours it's poisoned!

Gothitelle - kohaku's into high fashion so i think gothitelle is a good match.

Vespiquen - an immediate vibe i got from her was 'queen bee' so vespiquen was an immediate go-to. beautiful and feminine, but absolutely deadly.

Bisharp - likes red and knives? bisharp wins. i like how it stands out in her team too, all her other 'mons being cute and pretty.

Hatterene - the whole hatterene line is noted to act out against strong emotions violently. i thought it was a good fit since she avoids strong personal relationships, hates a lack of control, and doesn't have much patience for dealing with rudeness. her hatterene can handle the dirty work of dealing with unsavory people, but also act to keep kohaku in check. is she getting to close to someone? emotion or sentiment causing her to falter during an assignment? hatterene will keep everything in check.

Persian - this choice doesn't have too much of a reason. just a pretty, glamourous partner to match her.

reasoning (my reasons aren't anything fancy lol):

EDIT FOR BELOW'S REPLY: ok i LOVE this team, it's perfect for him in every way!!

corsola: just look at the pink coral-looking crown! i thought of corsola as soon as i saw maris before i even read anything, but reading further made me want to add it to the team
milotic: a v rags to riches pokemon don't u agree? the 'overwhelmed by sudden ascension to nobility' makes me think of milotic, bc feebas isn't a v noble pokemon but it sure turns into one!
jellicent: p self explanatory, pink and a jellyfish. she is v pink while her heritage is a jellyfish!
whismur: she's got the shrinking violet trope attached, that always makes me think of whismur
gardevoir: ??? truthfully don't know why i picked this one. just seems to fit her.
vaporeon: half-mermaid? half-mermaid.

Boone Sommerfel Mothfae

Arcanine: Most cops in pokemon have growlithes or Arcanine so that's me reasoning for this one.

Seaking: His tattoo made me instantly think of a seaking!

Gyarados: What good fisherman doesn't catch a magikarp and lovingly train it up into a strong water dragon?

Poliwrath: At this point I decided to stick with a mostly water theme, also muscles!

Vaporeon and Lumineon: An underrated fish with big beautiful fins and a eeveelution with head fins. More fish and water but also the HS tab on his profile has lovely head fins.
