"Sometimes when I transform into Owlman I get stuck. Like, I'll misjudge how big I'm going to become and when I turn into Owlman when I'm in my house especially I can't fit out any of my doorways. Super annoying. One time, I was in a bank when the place started getting robbed. I slipped into the toilets, transform, and you guessed it- couldn't fit my fat butt out the door. Had to blast a hole to get through, I really hope I didn't cause more damaged than if the thieves just got away- that would be very embarrassing."
Basically this is an IC game where the characters get to ramble about something they associate with what the OC above them has talked about!
This can be anything from really straightforward associations (A talks about Christmas and B proceeds to talk about how they never believed in Santa) or something more vague (Character C talks about their relationship with their parents, character D talks about what their childhood home used to smell like).
The point of this game is to just have fun and get to know your own and other people's characters through their small ramblings!
- Your post can be any length you want! Just keep it short enough other people will have the stamina to read it to pick an association from there for their own OC
- Make sure to claim your spot so nobody will snatch it while you type!
- Your character doesn't have to respond to the character above in any way! However, they can do that if you want.
How this game works:
Character A: [talks something about flowers and how they like roses]
Character B: My father used to own a flower shop and I used to spend a lot time there [description about the shop and things they liked there]
Character C: I love shopping clothes but I don't usually have much money to do that!
Since there is no first post, how about the first poster's character talks about music! (what they like, if they play/sing themselves etc, anything they find relevant)
"Although it's not a transformation in physical sense, my younger brother Roska surely have made an astonishing progress to transform from his former bashful self that you can easily embarrass him with a mere mention about the color of his hair. And oh my, he blushed like a tomato every time someone poked fun at him! Ah----, talking about the old days really makes me sad that my younger brother grew up. Now I can't tease Roska anymore because instead of getting embarrassed and blushes furiously, he will immediately kick my rear and scold that I haven't grown up one bit. His ego has grown so big it's a real surprise.'
"Oh, shit~ Speaking of gifts, I hope that Ashur won't be too angry with me, since I 'accidentally' ate half of the whole Strawberry Shortcake that I had gotten for him after I was feeling particularly generous when I beat some losers in that dance competition~" Mayu snickered, clearly not feeling bad in the slightest. "He wouldn't mind, right? My stomach has a mind of its own, I tell ya~! I'm pretty sure that Old Mutt wouldn't let someone as cute and handsome as me starve to death, right~?" The B-Boy couldn't help but to laugh. "I'll just give Ashur a tummy-rub to make things up to him~" ♡
"Slavery is bad, but gold? I can understand why humans are so obsessed with it. It just sparkles so much, y'know?! Just thinking about it makes me all jittery; i can hardly contain myself! That's why I became a thief, I just couldn't help myself. I mean, anyone with gold just jangling around on their persons is basically asking for me to take it, right? I'll treasure it, all these stiffs just put it in a bank where no one can appreciate it! It's crazy to me! But if we're being honest I don't care about gold nearly as much as I care about bells!" Crim stops speaking for a moment, just long enough to take a deep inhale of breath. It seems she was so excited that she'd forgotten she needed oxygen for a moment. With a loud clap her hands clasped together and a dreamy look fell upon her features.
"Bells are so beautiful. They shine in a way no other object does, and the sounds they can make when the right person rings them... Gods, I'd do any number of depraved or dangerous things to get my hands on more of them...."
"Memories of the past...were they something of necessary? Something everyone should hold on to? I knew I had a past life prior my 'reincarnation' as a Chinese vessel. But nothing, not even a single piece of my memories fragments was retained inside me. It seems like many vessels in the Chinese Navy actually knew this 'me' whom I don't even realized existing in the past. Fortunate for me that my usual escort and mentor, Hangzhou, is someone of a similar origin...although he repeatedly denies my attempts to rediscover my forgotten past. Was my past 'life' a troublesome one? That it is best to be sealed off as a secret forever, while the others rearing me to move on with my 'new life'? Maybe it's only fair; if humans cannot recall the past life they had lived prior their current life after 'reincarnation', then...perhaps android like me shouldn't be granted that advantage. That would likely count as a cheat."
"I can think of times when everyone was having a "good time" while I wasn't... the we're not laughing at you, we're laughing with you! line is all too relevant when it comes to my childhood. It's no fun being left out or being the center of amusement. It's really hard to think of, but I sometimes have nightmares... it's... dreadful. It used to be so, so dreadful. But things did get better after I met Giles! She really changed the perspective I had of the world and brought light to it... ahhh, she would tease me if she caught me saying something so cheesy. Ever since I started sharing a bed with her, I don't think there was a time I woke up alone or feeling any sort of anxiety. Being in her arms makes me feel safe."
"That definitely takes me back to my elementary days. I was always a 'new kid' almost every year because I move around alot, so I get teased and sometimes even bullied. Most of the time I just stick out like a sore thumb - they often find ways to get them to tease me and being their center of amusement during school.
So once I finished middle school I finally decided to break out and moved in with my uncle. It was scary, because I was practically living almost independently (except for the finances because my uncle took care of it). But I actually made some friends, and I cannot explain how important they are to me. They're practically the best people I've met and I can never ask for anyone better to support me.
And if they weren't there I'd probably just retreat to my home. It's a part bakery too so I spend most of my enjoyments baking for myself, my friends, and even my customers. It's a stress reliever from the hassles of classes incase none of my friends are too busy to hang around."
"Hm. So you moved from England too? That's interesting. When I came here to Chicago, my brother just so happened to be late to O'Hare. Literally, I called him when I sat down at the airport for him, and he told me that he just woke up. I waited there for a few hours because he got stuck in traffic and I nearly fell asleep. It was a mess. The day after that ordeal, I had to go for my first day of classes. It felt awful to introduce myself a few times. I had jetlag, too."
After thinking over those repressed memories, Chris let out a small groan.
"Oh travelling. I used to travel back in my college years, but now there's just no time. I guess sometimes I'll visit another state to see my family during breaks, but I can't say I remember what jet lag was like. I'm sure I wouldn't be able to enjoy any vacation if I was hit with this normal exhaustion AND jet lag.
"I can't even remember the last time I went on vacation. I mean, you get Winter and Summer Breaks with these schools, but all I really do is catch up on my sleep. Don't get me wrong, I love doing that and as long as I have internet I'm perfectly fine, but this isn't the life I thought I'd be living all those years ago. I bet I would've jumped ship and changed my major to English or something if I knew this was my future."
"Uh...I probably need to decide about my college choice soon. But when you know for sure that you want to be a professional sportsman as a career...suddenly it's overwhelming to decide what major and which college to go to. I mean, there is no college offering 'ice hockey' degree, right?? So I need to study something and get into the varsity team to keep my ice hockey playing record active. And with my pop working in education field, he's very vocal about wanting me to choose a major that is related to science. He says even if miracle does happen and I got into NHL, there's no guarantee how long I could make my career in there. One major injury could end it all in a single year. In case that happens, he doesn't want me to repeat mistakes made by many professional athletes by studying no-brainer courses that they can't actually put into use to earn their living after the playing career. While I get that my pop's idea is reasonable, hoping that I'd graduate with physics or engineering degree is a bit too unrealistic!"
