"College and University... They are... great fun sometimes. I may be biased of course, since I'm a professor. But... I really enjoy teaching my students! Picking to teach a subject I adore helps that quite a bit. I don't even mind really marking papers and projects. It's actually incredibly interesting to see what ideas young minds are putting out there. It's incredibly refreshing and honestly, each generation is revolutionizing and learning about our world."
Basically this is an IC game where the characters get to ramble about something they associate with what the OC above them has talked about!
This can be anything from really straightforward associations (A talks about Christmas and B proceeds to talk about how they never believed in Santa) or something more vague (Character C talks about their relationship with their parents, character D talks about what their childhood home used to smell like).
The point of this game is to just have fun and get to know your own and other people's characters through their small ramblings!
- Your post can be any length you want! Just keep it short enough other people will have the stamina to read it to pick an association from there for their own OC
- Make sure to claim your spot so nobody will snatch it while you type!
- Your character doesn't have to respond to the character above in any way! However, they can do that if you want.
How this game works:
Character A: [talks something about flowers and how they like roses]
Character B: My father used to own a flower shop and I used to spend a lot time there [description about the shop and things they liked there]
Character C: I love shopping clothes but I don't usually have much money to do that!
Since there is no first post, how about the first poster's character talks about music! (what they like, if they play/sing themselves etc, anything they find relevant)
"Sometimes I get upset by the fact I dropped out of school and didn't pursue a higher education, given I was initially prepared for it when I was younger... But it's no use to do that since I'mno longer a noble and a butler doesn't need a long academical career - quite the opposite, as I'm trained by the household. Besides, school was no fun for me anyway with all the others calling me with mean names because of my eyes - good riddance, to be honest."
“Honestly, I’m only staying at school in case my plans to become like my sisters doesn’t work out, but it doesn’t seem to be going well... I’ve been trying to improve my grades, but unfortunately school isn’t quite my forte... There again, neither is clam blitz. Or splat zones... Or even rainmaker... But, I think I’m good at tower control!! I feel that I’m a good support, and that my team appreciates my help! Such as my last match my team managed to make a really good comeback! My friend Marialena managed to get on the tower on the last second and kept splatting everyone in her path! I’ll admit I did feel bad for the other team as they were really good, and Marialena was perhaps a little too aggressive, but we managed to work really well together as a team and take the the victory! The beacons I provided helped get everyone back in action quickly, and I managed to distact the team with my tenta brella! There again, this is only C rank... My sisters said that people higher up would never fall for such tricks...”
'Ooh, you're not good at school? Ha! School is for losers! The only reason I stayed in school for the five... no, six... no, seven years I did was because I didn't have anything better to do. I was going to be expelled in my final year, did I ever tell you that? Well, basically, the headmistress found out that I'd been picking on younger kids. I think she must've gotten a tip-off from someone. It was pretty stupid, 'cause they didn't have any proof that I'd been bullying anyone, but I guess when enough people think you have, it adds up to something... Anyway, so I had this buddy called Arc and we decided to run away together. Got out of school before the headmistress had a chance to throw us out by force. And we travelled together, Arc and I, for a loooong time... Maybe a year... But then things went bad and, long story short, I don't travel with him anymore. In fact, if I ever see his stupid face again it'll only be so I can have another shot at killing him!'

"School seems quite fun, though our 'town' have one that could only handle 20 children. We're all misfits underground, and we could barely even build larger houses since we do our stuff on our own at times. There's no thing such as convenience in our place, haha. It would be nice if I could at least make my son enroll it, though it's most unlikely since he was born out of his mother looking scary. Heck, I couldn't even get him to be brave enough to stroll outside. He's only living a non-hectic life without any experiences for several years. He's almost 18, and he still has the capacity of a toddler. It's heartbreaking to see his life go to waste like that, I actually feel like a poor excuse of a father, especially I broke his heart a few years ago. I just want him to live a normal, human life despite living this garbage town. He was the result of how my wife and I stayed strong, and I just... can't stand seeing his life go to waste. I wish he experienced childhood where he befriends a lot of playmates, teenage wherein he tries to test himself with his peers, and finally, just a person who could dream. I'm repeating myself, I feel like such a bad father for not letting my son even dream. I just hope he would live a better life if I ever get hunted down for my crimes, though. Haha."
"Being an android, despite how much I resemble human, means the only experiences I have with children are interacting with children of the officers in my fleet. I won't say I'm particularly fond of children or anything but there are several of them whom I watched growing through years. At the moment though, I have a specific trouble with one of the kids I have been familiar with since she was a small girl. As an android I'm both incapable to form either romantic or sexual relationship and also forbidden from persuading such relationships. And there is this girl, Irina, whom I know for over a decade, who's now sixteen and also knows I'm an android with the aforementioned conditions with romance...yet somehow she has a crush on me!! I swear I didn't give her any inappropriate lead! Since I have lots of snacks, in the past I just gave her some when she came to the base with her father, who is a kind of supervisor over us warship androids in the fleet. That's all I did!
Long story short, her dad isn't pleased and I'm out of ideas of any more ploy to discourage her from this goal. I don't want to be cruel to her but...really, I'm totally clueless of how and when she developed this idea about wanting to date me. Now it's always awkward when she comes to see me...because her dad often charges in to hover around and makes sure nothing inappropriate will happen. It's not like he really needs to pressure me like this, my 'feeling' toward his daughter is purely platonic and he knows it."
"Listen to me, as a teacher I can tell you better than anyone that there's nothing you can do to stop a teen from getting a crush on you. The fact that you're young is what'll get her. Hell, I'm four times most of these students' ages and they still try to give me love letters. Just tell her you're not interested. It gets easier after a while.
"But that reminds me that it's starting to spread to my students' parents. It started with a few moms calling for a meeting about their kids. Normal stuff, didn't bother me. Found the mothers coming in alone and just... talking. Not even about their kids! Just about their day, and how they were feeling. Took me only a minute of that to realize what was going on. Only problem is is that I don't know whether these requests for meetings are real or not anymore, and the principal's getting pissed about having to join me on these meetings all the time just to keep the parents off me."
"Meetings... the meetings with my boss and my coworkers are just getting increasingly hard to deal with... I know how horrible my boss is, and I know that sometime I should tell my coworkers of the horrible things he has done, but it just seems like I can't. I feel like... he'd probably kill me if I did. Quite literally. Well, he'd get one of his buffoons to deal with me instead, but, either way, I'd be killed. I wish I could just leave this job, but that's not an option either. I just wish I could find a way to get out of this situation without anyone else getting hurt. I sure wish I had the courage to confront my boss... but I know it's worthless. I guess either I'll die while working in this job or working in this job will kill me. There seems to be no other way..."
