🎶 Imagine a title for the theme of the OC above

Posted 6 years, 3 months ago (Edited 5 years, 4 months ago) by fuelli

What would be the title of the music theme of the OC above you, if they had a custom one in a video game or a series?

  • It is heavily recommended to read the OC's bio a bit before coming up with a title. Using more than 2 words per title is also preferred when possible.
  • Titles in other languages than English, (preferably when justified, and grammatically correct), are authorised. Just be sure to include a translation!
  • You can also add a quick description of what the theme would sound like in addition to the title, but it's not obligatory. The main goal is just to come up with fake titles.

Be nice and have fun!

“Robotic Enigma”

The best way I can describe the song is something pretty close to the “akkala ancient laboratory.” Theme from breath of the wild. Robotic. But simple and refined. But with a little twist here and there

Considering how her story is structured, I think it would make sense if she had three themes- each matching where she currently is in the story and how it affects her. I wanted all of the titles to be somewhat earthquake-themed as it seems it was the main inspiration for this character.

Act I - "When my world collapses"- I imagine it would be a mostly orchestral song, without lyrics, with drums mirroring sounds of an earthquake. I think it would be loud and bold, especially at the beginning, slowly transforming into a sad and melancholic sound once the drums go quiet.

Act II- "Ground failure" or "Landslide"- I think a fast paced, slightly chaotic (again instrumental) song with mostly drums, violin and piano could be a good match for this point in her story.

Act III- "Building clay temples"- A slower song, which at the same time would the only theme of hers with lyrics. I think the lyrics could tell the story of how the earthquake caused the landslide, what it destroyed and how everything was slowly rebuilt in the affected area, using what was left. The melody could have elements of the previous two themes, merged into a new song with a hopeful sound and message.

I would be so happy if you could come up with an idea either for Jiro or Iris

Temperance Knight Mochagatari

Triachi

For Jiro, I was thinking of a title that's kind of like the way Touhou themes are titled: "Heart of the Hermit ~ Sealed-Away Heart", something along that vein. I figure it would be a theme that maybe starts off foreboding in tone, but gradually shows off more and more emotion to allude to Jiro's history of pain and having to hide his true self. That's what I would imagine, at least ;v;

Bloody Phlegm

yes the title sounds gross but that's the point, temperance is a vampire after all. that side, "phlegm" has a double meaning in this context- while it generally means the gross mucus you can cough up when sick, it can also refer to the medieval science/medicine term for one of the four bodily 'humors' (fluids), associated with a calm temperament of sorts, befitting temperance's eccentric yet cool personality, and also her name

NP, if bruce here isn't your style, feel free to pick tubbataha instead

Sky Adam_sky_kid

Operation: Dark Moon Dragon. This should be self explanatory lol-

Tiny Captain_Fartbeard

Living in the Sky (or Skyfall for a James Bond theme lol)

Soterios fataltotheflesh

Captain_Fartbeard “The Runt of Bar None” - most likely including an acoustic guitar to fit that country aesthetic and some quiet whistling in the background to fit his personality.

Jess PuppiDogz

Ooo love this character!!

he gave me an overall cheery vibe which is kinda rare lol, so maybe something like “gods right hand man!” And it would be like a very upbeat song that sort of sounds like elevator music

Rose-coloured Soda pop

"Slinking Fox"

Not only because of his skills, but also because of the vibe I kinda get from them! I think this kind of song would be similar to a thematic song from a movie, think of HTTYD but calmer in a sense! Definitely flutes and ocarinas as the main instruments with some cello, violins and even a little bit of percussion?

vera aranha pepperpenguin

"written in the stars"

stars is kinda self explanatory, though the written part also references her early love of literature n the fact that shes a star speaker and observes the stars :33 i think the song would have lots of sparkles n sound celestial/ethereal almost n calm w minimal words/no words at all. like resonance from home !!

V tysm!! :DD

Eden Pastafang

"Dressed to Kill"

I think this phrase could make a good title, because it combines her love of beauty and fashion with her kickass fighting prowess, and shows that she means buisness.

I feel like the song would start off softly and gently, in reference to the fact people often underestimate her appearance upon first impression, but the beat will quickly pick up to something more lively and energetic, to better match her bold personality.

(Also can I just say I really love their design :0 )

v This song doesn't even exist yet I got chills just by imagining listening to it from your description. That sounds so cool omg I love it

Requiem Nocturne. Like yeah, that's his name, but it's also "a short composition of a romantic or dreamy character suggestive of night, typically for piano." I think amidst a lot of strings, organ, and operatics (thinking of what the score of a pious demon-hunting narrative might consist of), bringing out the piano only once can lead to a real 'oomph' moment (think Ramin Djawadi using piano for the first time in the GoT soundtrack in Light of the Seven). I think that would be the way to go with Eden--when the piano finally comes out and it's his theme, you know you're in for a world of emotional pain... but it's so good. It's earned, after all those years of strife endured. His last moments are a requiem for a man already long dead... not a battle.
