Q you wish someone would ask to/about your OC?

Posted 6 years, 2 months ago (Edited 6 months, 2 days ago) by hedgemaze

So there are a number of threads for asking questions to or about other people's characters, but do you ever have that one question you really wish someone would ask that they never do? A detail you think is particularly interesting or mysterious, or maybe just something you think would be really fun to talk about, but there isn't really a forum game that suits it? Well, here's the thread for you.

Post IC (but you don't have to write IC unless you want to) as the character in question-- or stay OOC if your question is about a group of your characters, or all of your characters. Write a question you have wished people would ask you, then let the person below you make their guess or theory as to the answer. You can edit your post later to tell them if they're right, or give the answer, or you can stay mysterious if you want to (if you don't think you're going to remember to come back and edit your post, you can just put the right answer under a spoiler cut or blackout text). Make sense?

Rules:

  • Keep everything SFW!
  • Please ping the person above you so you make sure that they see your response! If you're not sure how to do this, you simply type @THEIRUSERNAME, and they will be notified! This will not work if you edit the ping into your comment later (like if you wanted to claim and then edit your question in); you must put it in when you first submit the comment.
  • You are NOT ALLOWED to skip anyone in this thread. If you cannot see the post above you because the poster or you have blocked each other, wait for another person to comment before replying to the thread. Feel free to bump the thread to encourage others to participate!
  • Wait at least a couple of posts before going again.
  • You can bump the thread as often as you like; I don't mind.
  •  BE NICE and have fun!

Anima VincentVanGoat

Hmm, well given he wants to just be remembered, his death had to be something he sees as pathetic, or unfair? An accident of sorts? Maybe something like a bad fall, or a car wreck?

EDIT: Okay no one seems to care about Claire's fighting shit, so I'm gonna change it to Anima and maybe she'll get something so this thread can live again.

She's known to favor fire magic(I think I wrote it here... but well if not, yee she does.) But, that wasn't the first spell she learned. What spell do you think that was? A general element or general idea works, it'd be silly to expect a specific spell :p

EDIT: Ah a good guess, with Fly being a pretty important card in Cardcaptor Sakura and all, and it's pretty close since Fly is under Wind, and well she first cast a wind spell. It was meant to be a nice small ember spell to light a candle when she was 3, but ended up a little wind spell that made quite a mess of some research notes her mama had set out. Though when Aetheria thinks back, she's kinda happy it was a wind spell, I can't imagine a 3 year old, even a magical prodigy, would have done fire safely enough.

Henri Lowell Caine

The first thing that popped into my mind was flying haha probably because of the whole magical girl thing!

Q: Henri has been noted to going to a normal human school during his puberty. How many do you think ended up knowing he is a werewolf and not an ordinary human?

A: Three knew for sure: Roche (another werewolf), Kennith and Rick! His principal most likely also knew but kept it to himself, and the vice principal had a hunch but figured that's not his business as long as no trouble comes out of it. A few classmates also had a hunch but never really started investigating the matter since who would even believe them?

James Holcot gummy

I feel like........ Not a lot? Like....... I would say it would be pretty obvious but a lot of his classmates tend to be pretty oblivious to it and the few that have a few hints just just ask about it or question it.

I wonder..... How do you think James may have become a vampire? Its not stated on his profile but I would love to hear some sweet theories   ofc i know the answer but I wanna write something abt it

exe.sorcist reinapepiada

Due to his outfit my first thought is that he was an investigator in the past and was caught in a mystery in which the culprit was a vampire that turned him to silence him... But that's probably not accurate as the chronological time would not make sense with the same aesthetic of private investigators a la sherlock holmes haha. But it's the best I got!

_____

If what exe.sorcist does is considered so creepy by humans, why do they not stop after being told so? Has anyone ever stopped to tell them that exactly?

_____

Partly, yes, they think it's just their duty. But they've been told that they're creepy, multiple times by multiple users! However they can't turn their back from their original duty, and there's no one humanly available to overwrite it, so they keep doing this in order to protect and help humans. They're never going to betray humankind, never. Even if that means they'll come off as creepy.

A lot of the time, when a user tells them they're creepy, they just silence their activity to the minimum, but they keep existing in the device. It's only when the user literally orders them to delete themself off the device that they will, but even then, they might still be around! Who knows

Izzy hedgemaze

I would guess that no one ever has, directly, and that exe.sorcist thinks they're just doing their duty/what they should be doing?

If Izzy's such a punk, why is he so keen on his band signing up for what's essentially American Idol? Shouldn't that be against his principles or something?

You're definitely not wrong, though there is more to it. ;)

Hayden Lambert Mashter-Potato

I would Imagine it's publicity, the more time his group is on TV, the more people can hear their names and know who he and his band is.

If Hayden was a highly effective shock trooper, when he was captured by the enemy, why wasn't he just executed for the damages and people he had caused and killed?

Robi Tribal CaptainRobi

A good logical reason is pretty much why he was a highly effective storm trooper in the first place. To blantanly execute someone so dangerous would be short-term benefical. instead they could use him as a bargaining chip. Would his friends, and the side he's fighting for, be willing to give up such a valuable asset to their cause?

Robi has access to an extensive range of technology and weaponry at his disposal and, despite being outgunned or outnumbered by an obviously stronger foe that he can simply find a way to defeat them in some way and if so, how?

Zachary Merula Lemonburgers

Hm... Based on his bio on his lack of empathy, he wouldn't think much of being the one responsible of Cairo's death. He may have a lingering regret as such info may lead to betrayal (or inconveniences) from other connections, so he makes sure that he wouldn't bring it up. If Cairo was Fatalis' friend (or some sort of acquaintance) however, it's be more or less the same thing, but with the addition of Fatalis trying to make sure that Cairo is at bay in his own cold way. Besides, they're both technically dead (at least that what Fatalis says) and the past can stay the past. His past life as Ezekiel (troublesome or not as it was) happened and Cairo also happened to be there.

Just wondering, what's your interpretation on why Zachary switched from strategy to combat in the academy? First impressions towards Marie? How'd he get the crush in the first place?

Watermelon Tourmaline Mashter-Potato

I would think that the reason Zachary moved from strategy to combat is that he wanted to escape everything from the strategy class, maybe in the combat classes, the armour and/or visors he would be wearing could cover his eye's misalignment and make sure that no one really saw it or knew anything about it, since it would've also have been a new class entirely.

If Melon owns a watermelon farm, and she has phytokinesis (Control over plants), why doesn't she just use her powers on her watermelons?

Grandiflora VincentVanGoat

The same reason Grandiflora here doesn't is my guess. When her time passes, be it natural or by other means, phytokinesis may create plants who are only reliant on the power used. So the nature they love would be left to die instead of flourishing and living on. Something gardeners or farmers alike would want. Or I could be overthinking it and she just has more fun caring for them the usual way.

A question that I may have disclosed the answer to in OOC meta talks over time, but never actually in character, why does a typical farmer turned gardener who has been the same age since the early 1900s when he got the elixir and all that, dress so extravagantly in aristocratic fashion from around 200 years or so earlier?

Ah that'd be quite nice, but not actually the case! Though I just kinda now noticed I totally never put any link for him to the magical set of characters so really my bad there... I gotta really get to these profiles better than I thought I did.
But what did happen was indeed his ties to Aetheria, who was alive in those days. She and Valeria had thought the idea of an immortal who has earned their respect, thus gaining the recipe of the formula for the elixir, should look the part. And well it so happened he had a soft spot for the style. His lovely garden is the tribute to his family, the outfits are just a nice side thing~

Mashter-Potato

(1 day, 3 hours, I'm going to post)

Because he had family back then who got the outfit and it descended to him, so he cleaned it and kept wearing it, even after he became mostly immortal.

Why did Wilbur further develop Vainoharhaisuus even though it was originally a mistake?

You are very close.

Wilbur developed the chemical when he saw the effects again and again, eventually realising it could be used as something else, a chemical fear weapon. he sold it to whoever could afford it. The chemical is now illegal, but some tanks of it can still be found in old or dialect buildings or werehouses.

 Mal Oakford BlankStorefront

Perhaps because he wanted to see what he could do with it, and maybe for more of a surprise? He seems to love unpredictability, and an accidental, dangerous compound definitely fits the bill, regardless of the outcome.

What are the circumstances of Mal's birth? Why did Amy choose to be his surrogate?

--

Thank you! * _ *
That's a fair conclusion to come to with the info I have up, but not what really happened!

Mal's parents are Rosemary and Yuliya (no toyhouse pages currently which I really hope to fix soon haha), who are both trans women. Amy is Rosemary's sister and the two are very close. Amy volunteered to be a surrogate as a personal favor when the couple decided they wanted a kid. She had Mal by artificial insemination with Yuliya.
Rosemary was the one who wound up falling on hard times when Mal was a kid-teen, and she was the one he was living with. Hers and Yuliya's relationship is sometimes long distance due to Yuliya's work, and Rosemary lost her stable job at that time, so that's why Amy took Mal in for a few years, until interference basically ruined everything.

Kyanite Jellysideaccount

After reading up on the characters, (Amazing story btw.) I have come to the conclusion that Amy was going through a struggle with money and what not. So she agreed to be a surrogate mother for someone to then receive money in return.

---

What stories does Kyanite use to scare her ship members into following her? How did she instill a grave fear in every gem aboard about her eye?

 kalama littlebirby

I suppose the stories she tells are somewhat stretched or warped to get people interested but frightened, ie. stories about the things she had seen while she was a statue, or the battles she's had to have fought. She also probably threatens and uses brute force.

What is Kalama's end goal? What does she wish to accomplish in her life?

Aaaa pretty much!!! Fighting Mo'o (the crimelord ugly man) is what she wants to accomplish for sure, but her end goal is to actually become more well known in her community, maybe get some recognition to fix her crumbling ego !
