Ask a Simple Question to the OC Above You

Posted 5 years, 6 months ago (Edited 1 year, 3 months ago) by RadiantRaindragon

Hello and welcome!

This is a question game for those who don't like writing too much, don't want to analyse long bios, or just don't want to worry about breaking any rules regarding the length of their post.

I love learning all the tidbits that make up who a character is, no matter how 'unimportant' - the origin of a nickname, their favourite season, how they got their pet, why they like a certain game. Please read the rules before posting!

Format example:

Person 1's post: What are Ethereal's hobbies? Edit: Crowley likes thunderstorms the most!

Person 2's post: What is Crowley's favourite weather? Edit: Lucifer likes racing and platformer games most, especially Mario games.

Person 3's post: What videogames does Lucifer play?

You can post IC if you want the next person to question a specific character, or you can post OOC and let them pick for themselves.

-Rules-

1. Try to avoid asking questions that are already answered on the character's profile. That being said, don't get angry at someone if they do this - it's easy to miss things!
2. Detailed questions are still allowed! But you might not get a question of equal effort. That is the risk of the game.
3. Don't post characters who are marked 18+ or feature highly disturbing themes - let's try to keep it so everyone can enjoy the game.
4. Don't be rude, insulting, or passive-aggressive towards other people or their OCs in any way.
5. Wait for at least 3 people to post before you go again (unless over 12 hours have passed since the last post, then it's fair game for anyone).
6. Real questions only, please. This is not a place for memes or shitposts.
7. Don't skip people. Even if the above user has blocked you, that is not valid reason for skipping them.

If you break rules: Depending on the severity of the situation, I may either PM you with a warning or immediately ban you from the game. Regardless of severity, you can be banned if you repeatedly break rules.

Assuming guardian angels stay with their protégé until death, will Harahel continue being a guardian angel after Olivier's death?

_____

"Well, I'll have you know that this form is more useful than you think! I can fly, swim, and much more!" He huffs angrily, displeased by the question. "And plus, this was my first form."

ParadiseLost

"Why don't you tell me why exactly you picked such a...non-threatening form? You clearly can shapeshift."

Well, a very non-simple question for the simple question thread! Not that I mind.

She had lived in an abandoned city for a while, and found both things in it. The latter was first, the time spirit was inhabiting a derelict store and possessed Fate when she walked in. The former came later, inside a weapons shop, since she needed a new knife for hunting things with. She had returned to civilization shortly afterward, but kept it as a reminder.

Cyrus Bell Caine

Does her knife have any sort of story behind it? Mostly asking this since it's mentioned to be one of her favourite things! Also, how exactly did she discover Azanendu?

Funnily I was asked something similar about Claude in another thread not too long ago, and the answer is actually somewhat the same with Cyrus also: 50% aiming for this very particular 70s shoujo aesthetic of distinctively feminine/androgynous looking male character, 50% because I'm a very androgynous looking guy myself!

I really like to explore especially the more negative aspects of being a guy but looking distinctively androgynous/feminine, because I can promise you especially the western society is very, very merciless towards men who aren't perceived "masculine enough" whether it's something they can affect or not. And it's something I like to talk about a lot in my works and characters, but at the same time I want to be self indulgent enough and show my not-so-masculine looking male characters are just as worthy of being respected as a human being as anyone, and that they keep on going no matter how much they're berated or bullied or harassed for the way they look.

Phenex muwi

Is there a particular reason why you designed Cyrus to have a feminine appearance?

EDIT: aaah, I think that's a great reason to create feminine males. I agree that they definitely aren't as accepted as much in the west. But they're still people after all! :o

A lot. At the start of the Fall of Xanadu saga, he's died a minimum of 50 times. Times where he had to be reborn completely though? Probably about 7-10.

Nef Lilina

How many times did he die?

Her favorite ice cream flavor is cotton-candy.

Cinna ParadiseLost

"I'm just gonna ask, what's your favorite food?"

Anyone's fine but Cinna's here in case you're too lazy to find a new character

Well, yeah. Cinna doesn't actually need an oven. She prefers to use one though so she doesn't overcook the thing though.

Anselm Werther fuelli

So Cinna oves cooking... Assuming that her role as a Fire Sprite gives her some fire/heat related powers, are those powers useful when cooking?

Two words: The Internet. :( Now he has to write letters to communicate... What a world

Jk but not really ftvgyhb-- Yeaaaah like his profile mentions, he loved loved memes and Internet culture as a whole, so he misses them a lot. Same goes with a lot of other distractions that implied modern technology like video games.

Oh and the food! Of course he has not lost everything but he still misses some stuff... Vanilla milkshakes especially

Naraka RadiantRaindragon

What would he consider the hardest part of adapting to living in the 18th century? Apart from people he used to know, what does he miss most about his original time period?

Is there any particular reason why Naraka is aggressive at times? Did he become that way after his injury or was he always that way?

It's mostly because he's always drunk, and he's the aggressive kind of drunk. He's a lot more calm when he's sober and is actually more just grumpy than violent. The fact that he's still bitter about having to leave the army also contributes to his bad attitude. So yeah, he definitely wasn't that aggressive before he was injured.

(Also answering @Polymorphus 's question, even though they were sniped.)

What's it like to get drunk? I know this probably sounds stupid, but dragons in my genus can't drink alcohol, so I've got no clue. I've seen humans drink and it's pretty funny! Does it have the same effect on dragons?

'How should I know? I'm not a human,' Naraka grunted, clearly uninterested in the topic. 'I guess it's the same... maybe. I know humans get drunk really fast. Much faster than me. I can hold my drink a lot better.'

Does communication via touch ever get complicated?

Dhox finds communicating with other species difficult since most of them find it uncomfortable for him getting so close (plus they don't really really understand it). However, if it's another Pin Pup, communication is easy between them as it's kinda like their own language.

@GeckoSauce Sorry for the wait! I lost my phone lol! Does communication via touch ever get complicated?

"I've got a soft spot for them I guess. I mean, my mom was a human and my dad spent almost all of his time studying them, and that could be part of it." He thought about the question for a second, then how he'd answered it. 'Shoot, I might need to clarify "I'm adopted of coarse." He added, laughing a little. Also, I don't know, there are kinda fascinating. I haven't seen any other critter that size face off with a dragon and win occasionally."

RadiantRaindragon

(@Polymorphus - don't forget to edit your comment with a question for the person above!)

Lilith ParadiseLost

What made Tremor so interested in humans?

Lilith is a recommendation, but if you can't think of a question for her then go ahead and pick someone else

Mentally, Lilith is more or less eighteen years old. The gem in her chest is specially made to increase her lifespan by a large amount, although all Anadanshi have something similar, it's just not magical. As for the name, I thought "what do I call a servant of Lucifer Yunuva? Oh why not Lilith? It sounds like a demon name even though this isn't a demon but that's the ironic part."
