Koi's Attempts at FFXIV Write 2023

Hanako stepped into the light of the sun to see her feet better. It had been a long time of traveling and she hadn't really checked but was surprised to find that she was in disparate need for better boots. She looked around for a vendor that would supply a good pair. In Gridania, she rationed, it would probably be the leatherworker's guild, so she sought it out.

Walking from lower 'New Gridania' uphill to 'Old Gridania' wasn't often a journey Hanako thought about until now, but the shoe issue had her overthinking every step. She started to wonder how she could've ever turned such a blind eye to it and not noticed. Oh well, she thought, she's dealing with it now and that's enough. It didn't help that most of Gridania's main roads were sporadically cobbled. Hanako kept to the left of the streets in order to walk through the much softer grass. She didn't realize how tight some of the streets were when you don't follow the main cobble. She kept getting branches or thorns stuck in her hair or her clothes. The problems were seeming to compound.
