June 4th-The Pulling Force

Virtue couldn't ignore this odd feeling pulling at her chest. It reminded her of how she felt after she first saw that portal.

Gods, that seemed like a lifetime ago now.

But it also reminded her of how she felt about Vice. Now that they knew each other and had gotten used to the others' company, it felt crazy to think that she'd have to go back to her old life soon.

Shaking her head, she stood up.

"Hey, Vice?" She asked.

"Hmm?"

"Do.. do you feel this weird.. pulling sensation? I can't seem to shake it."

"Pulling? No. Not really. Where's it lead?"

"I can't be too certain, but I'm pretty sure it leads outside the camp. Into the unknown."

"Huh, that's odd."

"Yeah, so I wanted to know if you felt it too. It kinda reminds me of how I felt before jumping into the portal, if that makes sense."

"Uhh. No. I didn't feel anything before jumping in," He admitted.

"WHAT?!" She shouted, "You mean to tell me, that you just randomly decided jumping through a mysterious glowing portal was a good idea?"

"Hey, give me a break. I didn't even know that I was supposed to be drawn to it. And besides, I'm curious. Anything could've been on the other side-"

"And that's exactly why you don't do things until you're sure about them."

"Oh come on, you mean to tell me that you knew exactly what would be waiting for you when you hopped on over here?"

"No, but at least I know what I'm doing!"

Leaving it at that, Virtue stormed away from Vice, following the odd pull towards the forest. Her head began to clear, and she felt the impact of the fight she just had sort of... wash away. Not as though they never had the fight, but instead like they had been shoved underwater. They were still there, only now they were muffled whispering. She shook her head to clear away the white noise, and noticed that she wasn't alone. Dozens of other cats, large and small, were walking in the same direction she was. Suddenly feeling strange, she tried to inconspicuously get out of the hold the forest seemed to have on her. But it was no use. There was no way for her to get out of this situation without causing suspicion. So she just went with it, one paw always on her dagger. She progressively slowed her walking pace. Was it to prolong the inevitable? Was it so she could observe the other cats who walked alongside her? She didn't really know. All she knew was that this was a bad idea, and that she never should have left Vice.

She missed him. It was crazy to her. They had only known each other for a few days, but she missed him like they'd been childhood friends. She wondered what he was doing now. Did he come after her? Or did he simply fall asleep. Her questions were answered almost immediately.

He caught up to her.

"So, what's going on?" He whispered, pressing up against her side.

"I'm not sure. What I am sure of, is that this was a horrible idea."
