June 8th-The Rising Army

We rise at midday.

Virtue shivered as the trees' words engraved themselves into her mind. Vice had apparently left. She hadn't seen him since she made her choice to stay with the tree. She noticed some stiffness in one of her legs, but brushed it off as just not sleeping in her nest. Again. She sighed as she thought about home. She missed it, oddly enough. The cats there kicked her out right before she jumped through that portal, but she found herself longing for the 'simpler' days. She snorted, nothing in her life was simple. As much as she wanted it to be. She shook her head slightly, clearing her mind of those thoughts. She padded over to a secluded corner of the clearing, and focused on sharpening her weapons and stretching the stiffness out of her legs. That's odd... normally they're not this stiff...

She was thrown out of her thoughts as two huge cats burst out of the bushes a ways down. It was the one with the fiery mane, and his mate? She couldn't remember. She watched them as they walked over to the tree, taking their sweet time doing so. They appeared to be talking to it, as the smaller gray one shivered when she approached it. Must not be a fan of telepathy. She thought, watching them intensely as they carried on their conversation. Suddenly, the one with the mane tensed up, and began speaking, louder than his mate. She was only able to catch bits and pieces of what he was saying, but it was something to the effect of the goddess' intentions and how they were making their own decision and blah blah blah. But then he mentioned a group that combined the ideas of the gods, and her ears perked up.

This was much more her style.

As they walked out of the clearing, she followed them quietly, careful not to be seen by them. She overheard them talking about their decision. The larger one called over his shoulder at them.

"I'm going to find us a third tree!"

A third tree?!

Now that Virtue thought about it, it made sense. The first tree was called the Trinity Tree, after all. She followed behind them as they started off in an unknown direction, unaware that someone was following her as well.
