June 5th-The Dying God

Virtue looked at Vice warily, only to see that he was staring at the tree with a morbid curiosity. Sighing, she decided to sit down next to him and hear out the tree god. She had to admit, she was quite curious too as to what the tree meant. 'The goddess is not who she says she is'? That's not a lot of information. And she wouldn't fight for anyone who didn't have a good reason. Or good pay. She had very few standards, but a good pay and a good reason were some of them.

Listen now, my children.

Virtue shivered. If she had to ranks her least favorite forms of communication, telepathy would certainly be high up on that list. She hated the way it felt, how the telepath drowned out all of her own thoughts, so that she couldn't really react to what they were saying. She was very distrustful of the tree for this reason. But she had to wait until it finished. By the look of it, it really couldn't communicate in any other way. Now that she looked at it, it almost seemed as though it wasn't draining the life out of everything else, instead it appeared like... the life was being sucked out of it.

I have much to tell you. About my history, and about your future if you continue to trust her.
