Location and Setting

Thousands of years ago, a massive beast breached the ocean and trapped itself on a mostly uninhabited land mass. A cetacean stranding, this gargantuan beast decomposed slowly, collecting more and more carcasses upon it as time went by.

This phenomenon brought life to a sizeable island that became a host for a plethora of fungi. Giant bones stick up through the coral around the island's coasts, with smaller, colorful coral growing adorning the sea floor. As time elapsed, the inhabitants adapted to their changing landscape and with time, the Wishira tribe came to be known.

Wishira's tribe covers the isle and is divided into three territories, with each territory having a different leader in charge.

Farming territory consists of crop farms, mushroom farms and all things for cultivation. They take only what is needed and let no materials go to waste. It is very common for farming territory members to travel around the isle to help create housing structures for other Wishira members or to help distribute fungi and crops to those who need them. In the farming territory exists a giant skull cave, where writings from recordkeepers are kept dry and safe; these writings range from Wishira's history to secret recipes passed down for generations.

Fishing territory consists of abundant fishing areas. Large cliffs were formed from the bones of the seabeast and exposed bones trail along the fishing territory's coast. Fishing territory toskals regularly commune with the Cliffscape tribe for trade. Being able to trade to far reaches, fishing territory helps the rest of the isle by trading for goods that other territories wouldn't be able to get.

Poison territory is filled with harsh, deadlier toxins from fungi that specific toskals are more adapted to. It isn't very easy for an outsider or non-poison territory member to stroll in without great care and preparation. Special medicines, poisons and concoctions are created in the poison territory. Because of the special array of fungi and plants in their territory, it's very common to see alchemists.

The fungi forests are lush, vibrant woods of fungi and plants. It's reasonable for some Wishira toskals to stay on the isle for their rite, fighting for their survival deep in the woods, where it's generally uninhabited by other toskals.

The burial grounds are one of a few sacred places that the Wishira hold dear. This area is where deceased members and pets are laid to rest. Lush overgrowth blankets this area of the isle, where the deceased are wrapped safely with giant palm leaves and buried.

The sacred mushroom is a towering, tree-like mushroom that is noticeably taller than any other fungi on the isle. It is a sacred site that is protected by multiple guards from each territory.
